Morning! Rough night last night. I got only 2 stretches and the first one was just an hour. Hmph. Oh moty decided he probably didn't need a motn diaper change because he hasn't been pooping at night lately and I have never been so wrong. Poop everywhere this morning.

K had his 2 month shots yesterday and all he wanted was mama last night. He slept on my lap until 230 am. In his bouncy chair for 45 min and the swing for a hour before needing me again. Lucky DH got a full night sleep. He's on baby duty today, I'm touched out.

Good morning! DH is at work per usual so it is just me and the girls. I have had coffee and we are settled in watching Home. DD1 was obsessed with this movie around her 2nd birthday (I made her birthday party theme Home because she liked it so much) and now DD2 is really into it at the same age (she turns 2 on Monday). It is such a cute movie and the music is catchy so I don't mind.
Hoping to get outside later but it is still a little chilly.

I am not sure who is louder - my husband or my 4 year old.
J is sleeping but probably not for long due to my loud family members. Frustrating.

I’m up. I’ve been up since 2:45. I’m so freakin tired. I showered, we had breakfast and now G is playing. She has a pretty bad runny nose today. So now I have her asking for her nose to be wiped every 30 seconds and a baby that wants to eat every two hours during the day. All this on like 4 hours of sleep. I may need a second cup of coffee.

Oh and MH pissed me off big time last night right before bed. He is texting me about it whenever he has time at work. He has now made it worse. I need a nap.

I just got the baby back to sleep and the toddler is watching a new Blippi episode. DH is lifting weights in the garage. It is supposed to rain today.

We’re heading out to brunch because our house is too cold to exist in. Then we’ll fill the time with other heated establishments, like food shopping. 😬 brrrrrrr

snowyowl Thanks! Me too! Originally they said by 5pm today, but there’s so much damage that they took that back and aren’t making any guesses. On the plus side we still have hot water, so I got to shower. 😀👍🏻

My husband took the baby and the 4 year old to the library. This is the first outing by himself with both kids.
I am not sure what to do with myself at home! I already watch too much TV while home with the baby and I have had too much coffee to be able to sleep.

Add me to the exhausted club. H was up every 2 hours around the clock last night because she’s still so congested from her cold. Ugh!! I need this cold to go awayyyy. And now I’m not feeling great. The sore throat started a couple days ago, which has now gone away. But now i have super runny nose and my face hurts 😩
I’m solo parenting all day today. I took both girls to target earlier and just got back from that adventure. I definitely need another cup of coffee.

Movie morning here too. Toy Story 3.
Baby did great last night so I’m feeling good. We are going to a friends house for pizza, drinks and family hang so being rested is well timed.
Sorry for everyone dealing with no heat and power. We lost powe for like a half hour during bedtime back in the fall right around the time all those hurricanes were devastating Puerto Rico. My H and I were like bedtime is so hard without power. I can’t even imagine days let alone months. My family really relies on all conveniences to get through the day. I’d be the worst olden time parent. Ugh... go play w your stick and your corn husk doll.

I had to remind him of things he would need while out (like the backpack that has the baby items...)

DH and I went to the gym this morning since the child care area is only open until 1:30 today. I have a lot to lose. I still had probably 20 lbs from DD1 when I got pregnant with DD2 and still have probably 20 of the 50 I gained with her left. Why can’t losing weight be easy? I wish there was a magic pill haha.

Daycare is closed for Good Friday but my work is open so I asked DH if he had to work and he said he wasn't comfortable taking care of both kids.

I rejoined weight watchers yesterday because it was working pretty well for me before I got pregnant. I had a doughnut for breakfast and I just ate a cookie or two for a snack so apparently I am not quite psychologically ready for healthy eating 😬 Monday it definitely begins!

Blahhh I’m sad. We were planning dinner with one of my close friends who I haven’t seen in awhile and I texted her today to see what they were thinking & she cancelled on me. I know it’s not personal but I am so paranoid lately of getting left out or forgotten since we had the baby. I have a lot of friends in the squadron wives group w/o kids and I’ve always been included but after hiding out the last 7 weeks I’m afraid of getting left out now that I’m ready to be out in public with the kids. Isk if that makes sense. I’m over here like “she probably made plans with someone else instead” lol which is absurd. She is one of my best friends and I’m hoping that just bc we haven’t seen each other much over the last few months that it hasn’t changed anything.

Oh no bassa I hope it comes back soon!!! I'm hearing mixed things from my friends as well on restoration. My boobs are like rocks today and I'm pumped 🙌🏻 AND we thought my H lost something in the kershuffle from L&D but it was just in our snack bag so I was super happy! I think I'm going to nap with DD2 while DD1 naps in her room and I take a shower.

I have 20 pounds to lose to get to the weight I was at when I got pregnant with J.
I want to lose a total of 40 but not sure if that is realistic

My husband did the wake ups last night because I had to work this morning. I was still up when he was, I just couldn’t sleep through it. Anyways, when I got home he could barely keep his eyes open. He’s now sleeping and I’m hanging with the baby. I’m kinda glad he now knows what I have to deal with every day and yet am still able to function like a normal person lol.
I have my baby shower tomorrow! My family normally does them after the baby is born. Should be fun!

The toddler slept super late and has been off all day. He finally fully melted down and only calmed when I accidentally figured out he wants pressure on his ears. So I basically lightly squeezed his head until he fell asleep. Hopefully some Tylenol will do when he wakes up, because I don’t have unlimited head squeezing time right now. Why is it that kids always get sick on the weekend when you can’t bring them to the pedi right away? Hopefully his ears settle on their own.

Having a quiet day at home today after a crazy day yesterday. Baby gained two ounces in two days at her weight check appointment, so we don’t have to do the 1 oz of breastmilk in a bottle anymore, which is a relief because my husband goes back to work Monday and it would have been hard to do it on my own. I did do a major u-haul of my closet, which I let get totally out of control while pregnant. I’m giving my maternity clothes to my sister in law, and donating two extra large bags of clothes. My mom and grandmother go crazy at yard sales even when I tell them I don’t want any of it.

I have 10 pounds to go for my pre pregnancy weight this go around, 20 pounds to go to my lowest which was between DD1 and 2. I’m on day 13 of whole 30 and I’ve only lost 4 pounds. I know that four is good and you’ve got to start somewhere, but I miss desserts and I feel like I’m hungry all the time. I really think it’s mental, I’m eating plenty. And I’m generally not one to lose a bunch of weight while nursing. But I need to see some results for motivation.

We just finished putting together DD1s big girl twin bed. I splurged on the pottery barn kids princess sheets for it. She passed out around 6:30 when we got her from the drop in daycare and we transferred her to her new bed (she had been in a toddler bed) and she didn’t wake up so she didn’t see the sheets yet. Fingers crossed that she doesn’t fall out of bed tonight because we didn’t get toddler rails for it.

We had a terrible night last night (LO seemed to be super gassy), but I got a good nap in so I’m feeling decent.
Can someone with a little bit older baby remind me when you start putting them down in their own spot for naps/bed? Right now after the toddler goes to bed I have snuggle time with the baby and it seems so scary to put him upstairs alone! But I know at some point I’ll have to. Like 6w?

I started at around 7 or 8 weeks. I usually only do it at night. That’s mainly because his crib is up two flights of stairs and I am too lazy to do that for naps that are like 20 minutes long.
