Also, if you really think vaccines are so dangerous, why would you want your kid around vaccinated kids and all the diseases they contracted from their vaccines? Like go form an unvaccinated commune in the desert. I still feel bad for the kids involved, but at least these families wouldn't be negatively impacting others. They don't. Our kids are the problem because they are shedding the viruses from the vaccines. So if their little presh gets sick, it's our fault for vaccinating.

Listening to the other moms at tee ball... About her daughter’s softball....Their color was navy last year and she didn’t like it. Navy is just not a girl color. ...I’m not thrilled they picked navy as the color. I mean.. we’re Alabama fans. My eyes might get stuck from rolling them every time they open their mouths. They were nice when I walked up to the bleachers. Haha! Omg. Major eye roll. Navy isn't a girl color!? I'm surprised someone who thinks that is letting her precious girl play tee ball!

Sometimes I feel bad for kids today. I went to/slept at friend's houses all the time and no one worried about it. My 10 year old has only been to 2 friend's houses without me. None of my kids has slept anywhere besides my sister's house. DS1 is going on a 2 night school trip in June, 5 hours away. Probably should do some sleepovers before that.

It's such a universal color!

The power keeps flickering. DD is at gymnastics until 9 and DH and DS1 are at hockey until 8. My grandma called and sounded upset and then we lost power but luckily her caretaker called me back and everything is ok. Can't wait for this storm to pass.

I have terrible heartburn and I'm still making myself a huge plate of jalapeno nachos.
I have no one to blame but myself.

Hi!!! I took a 3 hour nap today and got nothing done. Oops. Very few people I trust to watch LO. I would trust cagoldi but none of the moms from school. I don't know them well enough. Even some family members don't get to watch LO by themselves either because he's too strong for them or I don't trust they would watch him very well or watch what they say around him.

I mean, I would do a one-on-one sleep over with a trusted friend or family member, but I was talking about a kid's birthday party in the scenario I mentioned. Did you guys do sleep over b-day parties in kindergarten?
Also, I know my kid...he's going to be the one calling me to come pick him up from sleep-away camp.

My older two have done sleepovers with people who are MY close friends (and have kids obviously) I am very choosey about it. It’s something I don’t take lightly... and it’s sad that we have to worry so much as parents.

Still no power. Poor Dh finally got on the train and then it stopped right before his stop for a downed wire and he was stuck for another hour. He left Work at 2 and got home at 8. Power was supposed to be back by 7:45 but the whole town is still out. Now it says 10:30 but it’s a mess out there so I’m not optimistic. 145,000 in RI are without power right now.
My parents half heartedly offered for us to stay over tonight but C was a hyper wreck and I wanted to be home with Max. So we are all bundled up in our bed now. Hoping C doesn’t wet the bed tonight.
Dh says he’s still taking C to his parents tomorrow but we haven’t talked to them to see if hey have power so it’s up in the air. I hope the power comes back and he goes because I need some alone time!

We watched Beetlejuice and it terrified me. My mom was always pretty cautious and we didn't know this family that well so I still can't believe she let me go.

I can't exactly remember my first sleepover, but i have memories of sleepover birthday parties in fourth grade. I saw Beetlejuice with a boy in 5th grade. He was my "boyfriend," and we were calling it a date, but my mom and his mom were like three rows behind us in the theater.

tgrimes and peachsmama There was a post made by someone that was not appropriate/against TOU. No one reported it but a MOD saw it and ended up issuing a warning and people were not happy about it. I think...

I was the kid who wrote my parents a letter from sleepaway camp literally begging them to come get me, and I would repay the lost camp $ with my allowance. (I was in 7th grade 😳😂). They did not come get me but my mom did save the letter. I was just not a sleepaway came kind of girl.
I think I started sleepovers in 2nd or 3rd grade with classmates/slumber parties, maybe a year earlier with neighbor-friends who my parents knew really well. I do remember going to a sleepover sometime in elementary school and the birthday girl was bring a brat. I didn’t know her parents well and just did not feel comfortable. Several of us ended up ‘not feeling well’ and calling our parents to come get us. My mom always stressed that that was an option no matter how late.

Easy enough out for kids if they want to leave without offending or embarrassing themselves. I'll remember that.
