We had to cancel our babymoon trip to Florida due to babysitting dilemmas. So we are using our days at home and going to my moms lake house. I finished painting baseboards today and got all of DS spring and summer clothes washed and put away. I now need to talk baby girl clothes and linens. But likely won’t get to that til Monday since we are leaving tomorrow for the lake.

I know it's March, but I keep kind of forgetting that it's actually March 1st and then suddenly I catch a glimpse of the date and remember that two months from today, TOPS, we'll have a baby.

Today was a big busy appointment day. In addition to finally finding out that, YES, I CAN have my elective C section, I also learned when I can be expected to be put off for work. My high risk doctor said that with the heaviness of my work, he would say 34 weeks, MAX 36 weeks, which will be the end of May. I also signed up for my prenatal class today =)

My due date is the month after next! But only barely because 5/31. So I have a ways to go, but that's still exciting.

I just did my 3 hour glucose test this morning. Is it normal to feel tired and off afterwards? I never had to do it with the other kids so this is new to me.

I was requesting my breast pump online earlier and only had to click forward two months to get to May and it made me feel some kind of way. Like, woahhh buddy.

No, I mean that as of right now, my RSC is scheduled for May 1st, assuming no drastic changes or I go into labor on my own prior. Literally, two months from today, I’ll have an outside baby.

I’m such an idiot. I had a lapse in judgement and ate a prosciutto pizza (it wasn’t cooked) so now I get to worry and google and worry some more. As much as I want to enjoy this pregnancy since the sleepless nights are going to stink, I also want to fast forward to holding a healthy baby.

kiri , what exactly are you worried about? Genuinely asking. Listeria. Such an easy thing to avoid by staying away from deli meats, etc... Well, yes, but I assume you didn't buy it from like a gas station. Your chances of contracting listeria from deli meats is actually fairly low. You have a much higher chance from spinach, bean sprouts, or soft serve ice cream/frozen yogurt machines. Maybe I'm more lax over all and my OB is as well, but I abstain only from alcohol during pregnancy & watch my high mercury fish intake. Sushi, yolky eggs, lunchmeat, etc. We're day dating to a Napoli style pizza place next weekend and there's an antipasti platter in my future that I haven't given a second thought to and I've eyed their pizzas since they got rid of my favorite and have picked out one with both goat cheese & prosciutto. I buy from reputable places and do everything in moderation, but I basically lived on poached eggs second tri because that's what I was able to keep down.

Thanks tinyjoys and Speedy for making me feel better. I think that I just got a little lax and didn’t pay attention knowing that a lot of stuff is so rare but immediately started worrying.

Anyone else’s heart rate through the roof? I mean I don’t actually know what my HR is but I can feel my heart beating so much lately. I know it’s due to the extra blood volume but still seems weird

Even though weight wise I have gained less than I did with DS and at a healthy weight...it seems all my weight has gone to my thighs! Omg I noticed this today and I’m dreading how hard it will be to get back in shape. I always feel optimistic about working out after baby but I know I likely won’t have any motivation

I know it’s due to the extra blood volume but still seems weird Mine has actually gone the opposite way. I normally have a high heart rate (between 90 and 105. I scared an ER doc once lol) and now my heart rate seems to have settled between 80 and 95. I do notice that I have more... Intense? Blood pumping going on. Like if I'm watching my belly for movement a lot of times I'll see my entire belly thumping

I’m also marking my calendar for when I should be cleared to exercise after the RCS because I need to make sure not to make any excuses.

Yeah, I am, thanks for asking. Still a little sore, but nothing like what it was. Actually that just reminded me that I need to get MH to put down some salt

I know it’s due to the extra blood volume but still seems weird I have a Fitbit so it tracks my resting heart rate. When not pregnant it's usually between 56 & 59 bpm. I've been averaging 74bpm for a month or so. Bonus-it says I'm excercising all the time because my heart rate is elevated more quickly.

They freaked out every time but it was fine, just annoying.

But I don’t think they’ve checked my HR They had an automatic machine and it would always pop up on there when they did my BP. Then I'd be stuck sitting there because they wouldn't let me leave until it came down, which was obnoxious. So it's probably nice they're not checking

I am so excited it's March. The next two months at school are always my busiest of the year, so they'll fly by. Getting very excited (and also very nervous) about meeting this little guy and starting maternity leave!

For us too! I would have 100 percent preferred no snow and to continue with our recent spring weather. But such is life in the northeast.
