I'm cracking up, inthekitty. I have trouble imagining one of these people who has so much trouble making decisions that they would ask such a question. What must their daily life be like...

My sister's SO's mom got a jury summons.
Her lawyer contacted the court and said she can't drive, she's on psychotropic medication, and is not mentally fit to serve.
She still wasn't excused.
Makes you feel really good about "a jury of your peers..."

I was a bit skeeved out when I learned the ice dancers the Shibutanis were sibs and not husband and wife. It was just...weird. It would be hard to be married to someone like a pairs figure skater or ice dancer and not have your worries get the best of you with partner flings. Very close contact very often. I couldn't believe one of the Russian's outfits for one of the routines. It was black and yellow polka dots and the bottoms were very cheeky. My prudy self was blushing a bit.
I'm not a big Ryan Gosling fan, but when he and my girl crush Emma Stone do the Dirty Dancing lift on Crazy Stupid Love I feel like I need to fan myself off.

You know, at first I kind of thought the same thing about the Shibutanis, but after watching them a couple times I felt like their routines were very chaste and they weren't trying to look passionate or seductive or whatever like some of the other pairs seemed to. It did make me think of Mitchell and Claire in Modern Family when they re-enact their ice skating routine. There seemed to be a lot (more than usual?) of 'wardrobe malfunctions' this year among the figure skaters. Like, hello, you can't stop to fix your costume...you would think they would practically be sewn into these things.

I did have a couple times where my boob popped out of the top of a costume, but that's just because the bodice was too small on an existing. Not the case when all of those costumes are hand made for them.

They're not trying to be all lovey dovey or romantic or anything. I can see how you'd think it'd be hard to be married to someone like that but they're literally putting their hands in places they don't necessarily want to, you're sweating on each other all the time and not in a sexy way, you see each other at your worst and there's not really anything romantic about it other than the acting. You get hit, dropped, kicked, from the other person all the time. I never had an issue with being attracted to any of my partners. Yes, some are gay, but some aren't. It's like 50/50 these days.

tgrimes, that makes sense. The final product just makes it seem that way. I guess it's more Blades of Glory than The Cutting Edge.

Hello hello. Both my son's and neice's high schools were in soft lockdowns in the last week (different schools, neighboring towns). At my son's school there was an apparent threat made on social media and they found both live and spent bullets at my neice's school. Everything has been investigated and seems to be under control but our communities are going nuts. The superintendent just sent out an email in an attempt to calm everyone down and stop the rumor mill. It's OOC.

I was not a good kid, not a bad kid in high school, but just kind of rode the line and tested boundaries. I skipped out on classes but also got my work done. I won awards but also got in trouble for little stuff.
I was in art school for college, so I was motivated and enjoyed my time there, but I was not an angel by any stretch.

We ran to target before I took H to school. We were in the Home dept and walked past a sign with Joanna and Chip Gaines on it. H says “Mom! Look those are your favorite characters from tv!”

That's scary dapostrophe. I'd hope it's just the schools being extra cautious in light of recent events but shit to the spent casings. I really hope our country makes efforts to finally make some changes.

I was more good girl than bad. I always told my parents where I was going and what I was doing. I never had a curfew and actually never even got grounded. I think they appreciated the honesty and I appreciated being treated like an adult.

That's so awful, dapostrophe. MH just had to tell the administration about a death threat one of the students received from a boy in the grade above her. Their every days are getting scarier and scarier.

tgrimes what did the ENT say? Do you do drops whenever junk comes out? Or only when confirmed infection?? N's ear is super crusty but apparently we are out of drops. He said his previous infection cleared up, ears are dry, tubes in place and everything looks good. We're currently just going to wait and see what happens. With spring here and cold/flu season coming to an end, he thinks the ear infections will lessen. If he gets another one in a couple weeks, I need to call him back. He doesn't think it's his adenoids and doesn't think he needs bigger tubes because the tubes are doing their job when he does have an infection. I mean, I get it. And this is what he told me when M was little, too. So hopefully he's correct and he won't get any more infections for awhile. I've only done the drops when I see actual gunk. With that being said, H had some gross crusty stuff in his ear prior to this last infection, so you may want to keep an eye on it. My ENT said if you see some fluid in the ear, wipe it away and it doesn't come back, then it's probably not infected. But if you wipe it away and it comes back, that it is infected and to start the drops. He told me to just call into the office if I run out of drops and they'd call in a refill. Fingers crossed his ears can stay clear for a bit, I'm glad they are working at least. N has the worst head cold last weekend and had a 6 inch stain on her sheet from drainage. A day or so later she slipped in the tub and water got in her ears and since then her ear is crusty all over. I should probably call, but u bet they will want me to bring her in and won't give me a prescription over the phone. We have her 15m appt next week though.. I may ride it out since she doesn't seem in pain.

I may ride it out since she doesn't seem in pain. The tubes should prevent her from being in any pain, since the pressure can't build up behind the ear drum. If you see any more fluid I'd call the ENT about a refill for the drops. If they won't do it, call the pedi for a refill. Worst case they'll see her next week and give you a prescription then.

It's prettier than I remember and I loved it on Sunday. I can't wait for the spring. I think it's going to be so relaxing to be surrounded by all of those trees.
