I was a goody-two-shoes in HS. In middle school I’d fake sick sometimes but never to do something naughty. I also didn’t drink in HS and only had one, long distance, boyfriend. I’m still pretty boring/lame now.

I was such a goody-goody I never did anything wrong. I took "mental health" days from school whenever I wanted but they were all excused absences because my mom would write the notes for me. I was a straight-A student so she didn't care when I wanted to stay home. I never missed important days. I missed a lot in HS, but in college took it more seriously and never missed a single class other than a week due to surgery. Please universe give me some karma. I never skipped in college. Really? I skipped way more in college because you could. If I knew that I wouldn't miss anything, I'd skip class. Or if I stayed out too late the night before...

Lord, my coworker is trying to get me to take on his cases. I have one I just started and he was whining that he has 4. Well, 2 of those were from at least 2 weeks ago but he takes his dear sweet time on every case so he is behind. Last week he had almost nothing come in so the perfect opportunity to get caught up. Meanwhile I got 2 cases near the end of my day last week and made sure to work through one so I wouldn't be too behind for new cases this week. I've helped him before, I'm not helping him again. I've decided if my boss ever said anything to me I'd say I'll gladly take on more than my share of the work if I get bumped up the payscale a step or two.

S’s appt went well. She’s 32in and 26lbs. Shrimp! I looked at H’s records and she was the same weight but an inch shorter. No shots for her. I did have the doctor swab H for strep and it was positive. I’m pretty sure I took her in too early last time which is why the test was negative then. I swear, one gets better and then the other gets sick. I’m sick of administering antibiotics!

My mom let me have mental health days in high school whenever I wanted. Once college started I rarely went. I learned my lesson first semester that that wouldn't work. I realized if I was going to skip class I still needed to get the work done. I started taking online classes because I don't do well in classroom settings and learn more when I teach myself.

Not sure if you’ve filled the drops before, but they were over $200 after insurance for us. 😧 hopefully that’s not the case for everyone

Hi! nam2013 I’m sorry the illness has hit your house! Hope everyone is on the mend soon. Yikes to the start to your day peachsmama. I was a pretty mellow kid. My older sister (3 years older) was the daredevil, backtalker, and risk taker. So I learned by watching. Lol. I was always too afraid of disappointing my parents. I faked sick a lot because I hated school. But never skipped without my parents knowing. But once MH and I started dating (I was 15...almost 16) I did start getting a little more...less honest, with my parents. Like, I would stay the night at his house but tell my parents I was sleeping in the spare room. In reality I stayed in his room. His parents didn’t care. This didn’t happen though till I was probably 17. And he lived 45 minuets away. So it usually corresponded with a trip to visit his brother a few hours away. But we didn’t visit them near as often as my parents thought. Lol.

Never skipped school. Maybe missed a class or two due to a hangover in college though.. Same. I didn't even miss Senior Skip Day in high school b/c I had crew practice in the afternoon, and the rule was if you missed school without a legit reason you couldn't go to sports practice, and we had state championships a week or so later. I did skip occasionally in college, but only the big lecture hall/gen-ed type classes. Could not afford to miss any of my architecture/interiors studio classes or stuff like physics.

I’m watching the bachelor. The greeting they always have where the girl runs up and jumps into his arms and wraps her legs around him always seems so staged. I wonder if it is the girls doing it on their own because they’ve seen others do it or if it is truly staged by producers. Either way it is always so fake and unnatural looking. It makes me roll my eyes.

tgrimes what did the ENT say? Do you do drops whenever junk comes out? Or only when confirmed infection?? N's ear is super crusty but apparently we are out of drops. He said his previous infection cleared up, ears are dry, tubes in place and everything looks good. We're currently just going to wait and see what happens. With spring here and cold/flu season coming to an end, he thinks the ear infections will lessen. If he gets another one in a couple weeks, I need to call him back. He doesn't think it's his adenoids and doesn't think he needs bigger tubes because the tubes are doing their job when he does have an infection. I mean, I get it. And this is what he told me when M was little, too. So hopefully he's correct and he won't get any more infections for awhile. I've only done the drops when I see actual gunk. With that being said, H had some gross crusty stuff in his ear prior to this last infection, so you may want to keep an eye on it. My ENT said if you see some fluid in the ear, wipe it away and it doesn't come back, then it's probably not infected. But if you wipe it away and it comes back, that it is infected and to start the drops. He told me to just call into the office if I run out of drops and they'd call in a refill.

Most classes took attendance so if you missed more than 3 times your grade would drop a letter. Stuck in box - I don't really remember attendance being taken in college, that was also 20 years ago. Maybe when I went to community college, but not the larger state school. Not that I skipped a lot, I felt like if I wasn't in school, I should be working, but there were some days that I knew class would be a waste of time, so I just didn't go.

Then I snort-laughed and he started laughing and basically dropped me. I guess the romance is officially dead.

I skipped in high school once and got caught. Got suspended. Parent's were not happy. I never skipped HS again but I skipped plenty in college the first year or two.

I'm pretty certain if I ran towards H like that, he would dodge out of the way and I'd end up on the ground. I may try it when I am recovered.

It all started b/c I said I liked one of the Olympic ice skater's costumes. Then I was like, how funny would it be if you came home from work one day and I was wearing something like that and roller-skating around the driveway (FTR, my husband said he'd just pass our driveway and keep going). I also really wanted to try the Dirty Dancing lift but I probably would have killed or maimed him.

Lol, inthekitty!!! Wow. I think I told you guys this before but MH told a coworker that our upstairs main bath has punk tiles and a pink tub. His coworker said we need to change it or have C use the master so he doesn't end up gay. MH was just like, "uhhh I want to change it cause it's ugly. I have no issues with C using it..."
