Hello! November bfps have only started rolling in, and this board spans two months, so only a few of us are here. But I thought we could still start up a bit of GTKY.
When are you due?
Any other kids?
How did you tell your partner about your BFP?
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments?

When are you due? November 6ish
Any other kids? A 20-month old DS. They'll be about 2.5 years apart.
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? I plucked the calendar off the wall, said, "I have to add a date," and wrote "Squish 2" on November 6. He was suspicious immediately and watched pretty intently as I flipped months, haha.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? We've been trying for 7 cycles (6 months), and DS took 9, so my default assumption for each cycle was "Probably not." I honestly didn't expect to be successful this month and I still feel in disbelief.

When are you due? Oct 31 (but my daughter was 8 days past EDD, so I'm probably going to have another Nov baby)
Any other kids? Nugget, 25 months. They'll be just under 3 years apart.
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? I took a wondfo test and it came out positive, so I grabbed my toddler and ran to the store and grabbed a digital test and a "Best Sister Ever" t shirt for her. Took test #2 just to be sure, and then put the shirt on her. Of course, he was in the middle of some video game battle and couldn't talk right away. When I finally got his attention, I brought her over and surprised him wit the shirt.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I honestly thought this was not our month because I was sick with a stomach bug for most of my fertile period. I guess the one time at the start was enough (and at my parents' house while out in Cali on vacation lol). Apparently we only make babies out of the state, Nugget came from a weekend away in Florida.

Due: 11/1
Kids: DS is 3
I told MH while we were out to brunch.
Comments: I don’t have an Ob/gyn in our current town. There is only one practice here though, so I know where I’ll be going. They won’t see me until 10w and I won’t meet my doctor until after 12w. I think this is pretty normal for low-risk pregnancies but it is very different than my experience with my previous OB who I LOVED. I had 3rd tri complications w/my DS so I am just hoping I’ll like whoever my new OB is and feel comfortable.

When are you due? November 1st
Any other kids? DS will be 3 in may
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? Nothing exciting, he came home from work and I just blurted it out
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? PGAL brain is giving me all kinds of anxiety. I am booked in for an early scan at 6.5 weeks so hopefully that will ease the anxiety

When are you due? Oct 31, but DS was 9 days late and we were induced for 2.. So I’m thinking November.
Any other kids? DS 2 1/2
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? I have had a onesie that says “I’m the rainbow after the storm” for over a year now. I folded it up into a rainbow ring sling I just got and pretended to be showing it to him. It took a moment to process, but he was thrilled!
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I don’t really have a whole lot to say here. I’m just so thankful for this rainbow baby and that I was actually able to conceive. I hadn’t ovulated in about a year so this is such a wonderful surprise.

When are you due? November 4
Any other kids? No
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? This is our third pregnancy, so I feel like I'm done making cutesy announcements. I just left the tests of the bathroom counter for him to find when he got home. Still a surprise for him, but without all the effort.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments?
PGAL is really tough. And last time I joined a birth month board, I miscarried at 12 weeks and kept getting updates about the board thread. So I'm so nervous that will happen again.
I've also recently relocated to Baltimore and an really hating my OB here. So I'm hunting for a new one, which kind of sucks.
But that's the downer stuff. On the positive, we have been TTC for two years and have MFI so we were only two months out from moving forward with ivf. I'd keep trying naturally, but I'd sort of checked out of the process too. This bfp was a tremendous surprise and a huge relief, even though it's making my anxiety go sky high too. I'm really, really glad to be here.

I understand being hesitant to post here because the notifications can be hard to get rid of, and just a hurtful reminder during loss. I’m here if you ever need to talk. PGAL brain is seriously the worst.

When are you due? According to the interwebs, nov 8
Any other kids? My son is nearly 3
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? I didn't want to go to a new Chinese buffet (I don't like buffets anyway) with his grandparents/family. So I told him I was pregnant and didn't want to risk weird food.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I haven't been on a message board in awhile, but it was helpful when I had my first (especially not just cloth diapers board) so I'm hoping I'll have the motivation to be active again! My husband and I were also planning on starting a keto diet next week, which I do still want to do. Hopefully bacon doesn't get repellant again like last time!

Welcome and congratulations foxtober We fell off keto in January and I’d really like to hop back on. We did it through ideal protein so I need to figure out traditional keto now that I’m pregnant. I miss how good I felt!

I miss how good I felt! There's a subreddit for preg/nursing keto (I think r/ketobabies?) that I'm going to need to browse now. I want the energies my keto friends have!!

Hey guys! I guess I go here now. When are you due? interwebz tells me either 11/4 or 11/8 (the later date is from the site that includes cycle length), looking forward to hear what OB says. Any other kids? Yes, DD1 is 6 and DD2 is 2 How did you tell your partner about your BFP? H had been stuck in traffic, long busy day, super stressed so I let him eat his dinner and then blurted it out. It's unexpected, the shock is wearing off. Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? Constipation & irritability were my 1st clues. Oh and the AF that never showed. I had betas drawn yesterday & was 795. I go again tomorrow to ensure they're doubling. I loved my BMB on TCF for DD2. We still are together in a FB group. I hope you ladies are cool

@snow hi! I read your thread on GD and I have also moved since my last pregnancy. This will be my first experience with a bigger practice too, and I’m nervous. My last OB’s office was in the hospital, 2 floors below L&D. I saw her every single appt and when I had an emergency during labor she was in my room in 90 seconds. Oh well, I am sure it will be different but still good 🙂.
My insurance and doctor both require a blood draw to confirm pregnancy to officially “establish care” so that OB care can be provided. My intake appt won’t be until 10 weeks, and I won’t meet my doctor until 12.

@snow I think that's pretty standard. I have an intake appointment this time but I didn't last time.
I almost didn't put that question about telling the partner, but I figure everyone seems to like sharing what they did--even the folks who simply tell usually take pride in being straight shooters.

Hello everyone! I'm Eleephant and this is my first time joining a BMB! I turned a digital test this morning so I felt comfortable joining. When are you due? According to my LMP, November 15th. Any other kids? I have 3 boys, 5, 3 & 1. How did you tell your partner about your BFP? I asked him to go to lunch with me and then blurted it out. He's always been with me when I take tests so for once I got to surprise him. Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I'm still in shock! This is our last so I'm going to try to enjoy this one. We are also in the process of house shopping so I'm definitely overwhelmed a bit. I'm excited though!

**snip** Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I have apparently erased much of my memories of previous pregnancy. Is it standard to go in for a draw to confirm? I scheduled my first appt for the 8 week mark. Is that normal? I moved since my last pregnancy so it's not with an established provider. Lurking from Sept/Oct 2018 - My practice has you do an in-office urine test when you call saying you got a positive at home. After that nothing until an intake appointment with the OB nurse at 10 weeks where you go over medical/family history and a OB physical around 12 weeks. If you opt-in to the NT scan and related bloodwork, they schedule that around 12 weeks as well. Your timing sounds pretty normal from what I've heard from other moms.

Hi! When are you due? 11/14ish
Any other kids? DS, 2.5
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? I showed him the test approx. 2 seconds after I read it.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I am much less enthused about this pregnancy than I was the last, which I think is normal. But I feel guilty about it.

Is there where we're intro-ing? Hi. I think I go here. It's a bit of a surprise (TW loss, I hope the spoiler works) I had a loss at 7 weeks at the end of January, and apparently got pregnant right after my numbers went back to 0 because here I am. but a welcome one. I wasn't having any symptoms but figured I would start testing weekly after 2 weeks and...it was positive! Still a little in shock, it hasn't fully sunk in but I'm hoping it's the real deal and we end up with a November baby! When are you due? Mid November I assume. Not sure on the exact date. Any other kids? DD who is about to turn 3. How did you tell your partner about your BFP? For my last 2 pregnancies I just told him (ie shoved the test in his face, or texted him immediately because he wasn't home) but this time I wanted to do something different so I bought a card and edited it a bit, and put the digital test in the envelope with it. Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I think I did enough of that above, lol. I hope to stick around and get to know you ladies!

Hi everybody! I finally got up the nerve to post here! {Spoiler}This is my third cycle in a row with a positive pregnancy test. First cycle at the end of October was a CP; I had a loss at around 8 weeks in early January. I got my BFP for this pregnancy back in February but have been too anxious to post here. When are you due? I think around Nov 7th - I'll need a dating ultrasound to get a more accurate date Any other kids? DD - 2yo How did you tell your partner about your BFP? I pretty much just shoved the test in his face before I went to work. It was 5am and I don't think he could process it very well - both of us are a little shell shocked about the whole thing, but slowly starting to let excitement creep in. Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I just really want to hang here for the next 9 months :-)

Hi everyone! I’m here to intro! I followed over here from TCF where I mostly posted on my first BMB until the exodus.
When are you due? 11/20-ish
Any other kids? My DD is 3
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? By throwing a FRER test into the cart at Target, then testing at home and telling him right away. Pretty straightforward here.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? I’m pretty sure my nausea didn’t start until about 6w last time, but this time it kicked in immediately. Also my 3 year old keeps accidentally poking me in the stomach with her bony elbows, so we’re going to need to work on that!

Hi, I go here.
When are you due? Nov 13
Any other kids? DD 2.5 years
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? Told him my period was due and I just wanted to know one way or the other so I had him pick up a pregnancy test when he went to get milk and told him when it came up positive.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments: Had a chemical pregnancy in November so I’m feeling super anxious about this one. We’ve been trying for a year so I’m really hoping this one sticks. Also it’s so hard not to tell everyone about it already because all my work friends know we’ve been trying and I so want to share the good news. But I’m trying to hold out for now. Will probably tell the family at Easter.

hi everyone!
When are you due? According to LMP Nov 14
Any other kids? DS - 3 in May
How did you tell your partner about your BFP? Just walked in and told him. We’ve been trying for 2.5 years, we were scheduled for IVF in April so we were not expecting this at all.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Comments? We have had 2 previous losses before DS so pretty anxious about this but hoping everything will be ok. I’ve been super sick + fever so I’m going crazy with worry over year and of course on/off again symptoms. For the life of me I can’t recall what my symptoms were like with DS.
4 betas so far (won’t get most recent results until Monday) ultrasound scheduled for the 29th.
Anyways, looking forward to having the chance to get to know all of you.

Helloooo.
Due mid-November.
I have a 4 year old girl who is the absolute best. We were back and forth about being OAD, but finally decided to go for it, and now here we are!
I found out ridiculously early so it’s been kind of a mind fuck to have no symptoms. I’m finally feeling some, which is both a relief and a pain.
Nice to meet you all!
