Posting this today...
The Trying to Conceive After a Loss thread is posted once a week (generally on Tuesday) for those of us who have unfortunately experienced a loss. No matter what type of loss you've experienced, from miscarriage to stillbirth to the loss of a child, it is heartbreaking. This thread is to help us commiserate, get support, and to try to navigate trying to conceive, after a loss, every week.
Out of respect to all the ladies here, please add a trigger warning if you decide to talk about any living children and please hide your signature if it contains pictures or tickers of babies or children. We also kindly ask for grads to refrain from commenting in this thread.
If you get a BFP, kindly either spoiler alert it or do not post it here at all.
**If this is your first check-in, and you would like to provide a gtky loss history intro go for it. If not, no worries!**
How are you doing?

How are you doing? Feeling rough physically. Cramps, tender boobs, nausea. So premenstrual, basically. Feeling a bit low, probably also premenstrual!
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC
Diagnosis: N/a
Updates/questions: None really.
Debbie downer: I always find the last few days before AF rough. I knew I was pregnant before testing for four of my last five pregnancies. The only reason the other one was a shock was because we were in the middle of moving, so I thought the symptoms were caused by stress! Every single one has ended in loss. It was similar feelings of despair that caused me to seek out the loss and ttgp boards a month or so ago.

purple I'm so sorry. I felt that way the past few months and I know how terrible and lonely it is. Know that you have people here who care about and support you. I truly believe that the universe owes you a break and hopefully that break will come soon and without any more heartache.

How are you doing? OK. Actually feeling really positive this cycle.
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC
Diagnosis (if applicable): NA
Updates/questions: For those of you who temp...is it more importal to take your temp after a solid block of sleep or at the same time each day? I only ask because normally I can't do both so I'm wondering which is better on days I have to choose.
Debbie downer (a place to vent ) : Although I'm feeling good...I still got a year subscription to FF VIP because along with my current optimism I'm also realistic:/

I truly believe that the universe owes you a break and hopefully that break will come soon and without any more heartache. Thank you! I really appreciate the support and care from the ladies here, even though I've only been here a few weeks. 2016 was probably the worst year of my life. 2017 was better because we sold our tiny old house with not enough garden to play in and moved into our seriously amazing, dream house. 2017 was worse because we had another chemical and lost the twins, who for a few weeks seemed as though they might be our happy ending. So, 2018! I've had a chemical already, so I'm praying hard for the next pregnancy to come soon and to keep going. I have a completely superstitious feeling that if we can only get to the NT scan we'll be okay. Which is ridiculous because there's a lot of time after that for things to go wrong! But my NT scan with Gracie should have been the week I nearly died instead.

How are you doing? Okay, happy to hopefully be moving on with a new cycle.
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC
Diagnosis (if applicable): secondary IF
Updates/questions: My Provera induced AF from hell was super awful but only the length of a regular AF so that was good. Starting OPKs tomorrow and crossing EVERYTHING that this cycle is back to normal.
Debbie downer (a place to vent): Same ole, same ole. Happy and content ---> tears, over and over and over.

sammysam, personalIy I find it much more important to take my temp after a solid block of sleep no matter what time in the morning that is. I tend to wake throughout the night so I usually glance at the time and take my temp at long as I've had 3+ hours of sleep. I don't understand the time thing, to be honest, unless you are a super heavy sleeper and always get great sleep (and I'd like to think those people don't actually exist, haha) then why would it matter the time you took your temp?

charliefox Thank you! That's what I figured and what I was doing since it's the only thing that made logical sense to me...but FF kept yelling at me about the time being different so I started to second guess what I was doing. I don't think I've slept through the night in over 5 years...I'm happy when I get 3 hours in a row!

If you do have a really rough night then just check the box next to sleep deprived and FF will factor that in.

How are you doing? Eh, I'm ok.
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): ttc
Diagnosis (if applicable): I couldn't get pregnant while nursing, so I weaned after like 8 mo ttc based on my bloodwork indicating that was the problem
Updates/questions: nope
Debbie downer (a place to vent ) : I'm ok. I'm hopeful. I have a job change on the horizon, so I'm distracted. (Elementary special ed teacher, I put in for a transfer to middle school)

After needing Provera after my d&c and FINALLY getting AF on cd80, I'm 95% sure I ovulated over the weekend (somewhere between cd12-14, temps were crazy due to drinking and sleep deprivation but today's temp was still up!). This makes me so hopeful, and now we can jump into IUI next cycle.

Yogurt I'm glad you're feeling more hopeful. And good luck with the job change! I'm also hoping the fact that we're also fully weaned means it might take less than 8+ months this time around.
