I just noticed my oven has a "warm and hold" button. It's right on the control panel. You know, where I look every day. We've lived here almost three years...

I never noticed that the Burger King sign is supposed to look like a burger until I was probably in my twenties. My DH was like, "Um, duh. I can't believe you never noticed that."

I had no idea hoagies were called "subs" until I was an adult. Then one day quite a while later I realized that's why that chain is called "Subway" haha.

I just noticed that my car (maybe all cars?) has a little arrow next to the gas gage on the dash, indicating which side of the car you pump into. I always forget when I'm pulling into the gas station.

Just noticed our oven has a "quick preheat" button. Why anyone would WANT a slow preheat is beyond me, but it was a good find (staring right at us there).

I guess if you had a recipe that said to start in a cold oven? I've cooked bacon like that, start it in a pan with a cold oven and turn the oven on. It's supposed to cook flatter that way or something? I dunno. But I feel like Quick preheat should be the default. |

I just noticed that my 2 year old has a secret hideout under my bed. It appears that he keeps scissors and scraps of paper to cut there as well as candy he must have stolen out of Easter baskets. I've seen him go under my bed, but I never looked at what he was doing. I just figured he was pretending it was a fort.
Nope. Cutting up random papers and eating candy.

That the washing instructions for my Britax carseat covers say hand wash and air dry. No wonder they are falling apart! They've been through many a quick wash and dry because really gross things happen in carseats sometimes, don't manufacturers know this?

How stupid it is that a Super Target doesn't have more than one bathroom location. The front corner of the store is incredibly inconvenient when your preschoolers have to pee and/or poop FOUR TIMES in an hour.

I actually bought my last bottle at Kroger, but they don't carry it anymore either. Luckily, I ran out on the last load before we stopped using cloth to clear yeast, so I have time to get it shipped. |
