Since there are a few of us here I figured I would go ahead and start randoms. A daily thread would be overkill at this point, so a week sounds reasonable

I'm really excited! My betas on Monday (12dpo) were 201, and today they are 620! My new OB sounds like he wants to keep a good eye on me due to history so I'm waiting to hear if he wants me to do betas weekly for a bit. I don't want to rush through this pregnancy, but the first few weeks feel like forever I'm ready to do all the things!

Fun fact: you can actually tell you're pregnant based on heart rate! I read about it a while ago, how a guy was asking why his wife's fitbit was suddenly recording a higher RHR and someone on reddit figured out it was because she was pregnant. I was so sure I wasn't pregnant this cycle that I didn't feel the need to test yet (I was only a day late, which is not uncommon recently), but I was syncing my fitbit yesterday and saw that my resting heart rate had been 10 BPM above average the past few days. Went home and took a test and it was positive. Kind of cool!

How many steps are you trying to get while KU?

How many steps are you trying to get while KU? I don't really count steps, I mostly use it as a watch at this point lol. And as a sleep tracker sometimes. Although I do get excited if I hit 10,000 (which is sadly not very often)

Dramaphile I know the feeling! And I love using it as a sleep tracker. I like looking at the results.

And apparently my heartburn is starting up again already, and I have to eat smaller meals or I feel overly full. And I'm starting again with the early morning wake-ups, where I wake up at like 4am for no damn reason and lay awake for a while. And the peeing. It's funny, last time I didn't even pee on a stick till I was almost 6 weeks, and didn't realize I was having PG symptoms Hoping the nausea and food aversions take a couple of weeks to start at least! Eating all the things I love now in anticipation of hating everything soon.

Although I’m on progesterone so that could be the culprit. But I’m feeling sooo tired, slightly nauseas and have heartburn Way too early for this! With DS I had terrible morning sickness right up until he was born so I am hoping that doesn’t happen again

Mostly I just didn't like food and survived off English muffins and string cheese for at least a month.

Trying to figure out how to excuse my not drinking when we're having a game night party at our own house tomorrow night... I thought maybe I'd tell people I'm giving it up for Lent, but J says people will call BS because our friends know we've been TTC. So maybe I'll just fake making some mixed drinks?

lenny1 FX it doesn't get too bad! Dramaphile, I never used B6 and unisom. I may need to try it. How much do you take? Maybe you can say you are on some sort of medicine that doesn't allow drinking? Or make yourself a drink without the alcohol?

My FIL just took DS for a little bit, and I feel so relaxed. Is this what freedom feels like? I better not get used to it

notelsie I took a half a unisom and a b6 in the evening. You can take another half unisom in the morning, but I found it made me drowsy. I found just taking it at night made a difference in my nausea. I ended up buying a bottle of seltzer and some limes and just drank soda and lime all evening and faked pouring vodka in. Worked like a charm and nobody looked at me sideways

Anyone around? What are you up to?
DS and I are watching The Magic School Bus, and I feel like I’m about to pass out.

DS is eating goldfish and periodically asking me to draw buses on his whiteboard. He is getting quite a fleet.
I've starting napping during his nap. This is an excellent idea.
Two days ago I would have said I had no symptoms. Then I wrote a three-thing shopping list and two of them were "eggs." And DH suggested I get together with Alex and I said "Who's Alex?"
Alex would my friend I see twice a week. C'mon, brain.

my two year old stopped napping most days because otherwise she is a bear at bedtime. On weekends, I am regretting that decision because I get no time to nap (tried on Sunday and she pestered me the whole time despite the fact that MH was awake and available to her. And when I shut and locked the door she sat outside it and screamed hysterically until I gave up and let her in.). Ugh. Next weekend I'm seriously considering going to my BFF's house and napping there. I now understand why she did that at my house when she was pregnant with her second kid.

PSA: if you eat a big salad with roasted beets for dinner (which was delicious), you will have a brief half-asleep panic in the morning when the toilet looks like a crime scene, until you remember that it's just the from beets....

I wet the bed last night. Well, barely, but still. This is fun. Did not happen last time.

So my 45lb almost 3yo likes me to carry him down the stairs in the morning while he hugs me. Today I missed the last step and went down hard - sprained ankle and possible broken foot. I have a stupid sandal thing and a wrap and I'm all hobbley. The x-ray tech made me wear three layers of gear and put a fourth on the part of the machine closest to me so I was pretty funny wobbling on a bad foot with 25 pounds of extra weight!
