Going obscure for the thread title today. This is what being half awake does to me.
This baby. Why. Why does she get up at 5 during the week? She can sleep until 645 on the weekends? I really don't want to just leave white noise on all night to try and fix it either.
Anyway. Up nursing this little cutie before work.

Hi friends. I suck at checking in. Work is super hectic right now, and nights and weekends are even more hectic.
Hope everyone's doing well. I'm going to attempt to skim through the past week or so of threads...

ellabee, is three really horrible? I keep hearing that but I was hoping with more independence my 2 year old would better but it's not looking promising.

ellabee , is three really horrible? I keep hearing that but I was hoping with more independence my 2 year old would better but it's not looking promising. It's really horrible. Lol. Awesome that they can do more and understand more, but seriously the amount of whining and sass is astronomical. ETA: and the manipulation -daddy said I could do this! (he didn't). and the lying - daddy brushed and flossed my teeth (he didn't). ETA2: and the lack of listening. ETA3: and just the overall irrationality of why some things piss her off I should stop with the edits... I could go on and on...

Work is ridiculously busy. Just stupid busy. B slept good - woke up at 515, which I secretly enjoy bc I get to spend time with him before running out the door to work. Sucks hearing DD sobbing that she doesn't want mama to leave. Is 930 too early to start thinking about drinking?

Well. I'm tired of sitting in for the receptionist. Also, I am not fond of wasting an hour to discuss 401k stuff when I don't intend to change anything. Bleh. neekoneeko, 3yr olds are the worst and best all at once. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

One perk to being married to a teacher is DH woke up with Winnie around 7:30am and let me and G sleep in until 9am. Today is more unpacking and settling, I'm ready for this phase to be over!

Busy busy. Now my kids won't nap. Grrrr. I just want to sort and rotate cute baby clothes!
Give me ideas for swaddle blankets? I have so many but I love them and seem to be emotionally attached. Other than using them for floor blankets with dd right now what can I do with them? I don't really need 10 now that we're not swaddling and she's spitting up less (most days).

My ILs are gone, both kids and mh just laid down for a nap, and I am sitting in front of the tv with a piece of double chocolate cheesecake and a cup of coffee on this rainy day.

I was just thinking about this the other day. I feel like when I was swaddling DD/B I was like, gah, I'm out of swaddles again! I need more swaddles! Then when I stopped swaddling I'm like, geez I had a shit ton of swaddles...

Struggling to get through a crazy work day and my hormones are going nuts today. The stress from my nursing blister and family trying to all make separate plans for Father's Day might do me in. If work didn't have so many tight deadlines coming up, I'd consider a mental health sick day! Lakes I love all of our swaddle blankets too! I kept hoping DS would decide he wants to sleep with them instead of stuffed animals. Maybe I'll force them on M when she's a little older and I start giving her things to sleep with.

silvermelody, we have white noise on all night. It helps me sleep too! ellabee, I hope your day got better! neekoneeko, dnw to think that we are that close to teething! @lakegirl, how did unswaddling go? I'm scared shitless to give them up, C sleeps so well wrapped up 😩 So we're still here.. work is still crazy and it's still raining every weekend 😩 This happened yesterday unassisted sit for 5+ seconds at 4 months old. Slow down!! C also put on almost a lb in one week. From 13 3 last tues to 14 1 today at round 2 of shots. No wonder I couldn't keep up with her last week! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

pibblemom those blue eyes ❤️ Dropping the swaddle sucked hardcore. Dd moves around way more than ds did and as a result was up more. We're on our 8th night and I think she's getting the hang of it. Last night she had her one normal wake up! The previous night only two. The first couple nights it took her a bit to settle and there was a godawful amount of wakeups. 5? 6? I couldn't even keep track. Sometimes she'd give me a good stretch. Other times she'd be crying every 20 minutes. The first few nights I just did arms out. Then this weekend I did nothing but pjs, not even a sleep sack. I'm not sure if she just needed the time to adjust or if the half swaddle was pissing her off. Now that I'm seeing how much she moves I'm thinking it just pissed her off.
