I fell asleep pumping yesterday at work LOL... good thing I have a timer set b/c it jolted me awake and then I reset the timer for another 5min and took a glorious nap.

Hey all, sorry I've missed the last few days. M has decided to never sleep and I'm trying to study for my nursing boards, which I'm taking Monday! I thought my mom or mh would step up to help me these last couple weeks so I could get some studying done but nope. I feel like I'm screwed. How am I supposed to study when I have a 6 month old with me 24/7 and she's on a nap strike. Please pray I don't fail.

I work all day with exhausting kids, come home and hang with J until he goes to bed so my h can have a break . My job is physically and mentally exhausting but I still give him several hours of a break per night. Your h should step up. I'm mad for you.

That’s BS cali. People don’t fucking get it when a baby won’t sleep or wants to be attached to you 24/7. I’m sorry. GL with your nursing boards.

I’m sorry cali, but that ridiculous. This is a very important milestone in your lie and someone should step up, especially YH. Can you try and get some time to yourself these next few days?! I sending positive vibes your way for a passing score!

We had a good night last night. Well Hudson did anyway. I totally agree with the prior post that it takes a while to start sleeping good. Naps still suck.
I was able to get a ton of questions answered from our pedi since I bumped our appointment out. We got thexgo ahead for some water, mixing foods, and what he sleep should be like. I was disappointed with that since he is still Waking so much and she would prefer him to be sleeping 8 hours straight! Ugh so night weaning begins this weekend.

Thanks everyone. It's an ongoing issue with MH not helping out and I'm becoming more and more ragey over it. He works really long hours (and he works nights) so I think he thinks that's an excuse, but I mean, I am doing this 24 hours a day and I'm solo every night M-F. I know we need to have a serious talk but I don't even have the energy, especially since it's been discussed many times before with little change. I asked my mom to babysit for a couple hours on Saturday so I can cram a bit and she agreed, so that's something.

cwbh928 it's funny how Drs advice differs so much. I told mine that baby h was waking at 2 and 5 to eat, and she was like, okay that sounds good. cali that would make me ragey too!! I hope you get the time you need to study.

Oh cali that’s so not cool. I really wish we lived closer and I / my nanny could watch M for you this week/end. Can you get a babysitter for a few hours these next few days? I found some good ones on care.com that we have as a backup in case we ever go on a date. Good luck! Lol \ + whatever to funny how doctors have such different ideas about what is ok. Our dr at four months was like. Cry. It. Out. He doesn’t need any motn feeds or wake ups. And I’m like 😱. and then she’s like start rice cereal at 6mo and dh is like 🤔😒. 🤷🏻♀️ This kid is back to his usual nighttime shenanigans. 😒😭 I’m doing a little better at letting him cry for a little and try to figure it out. We have been successful with letting him go to bed awake and fall asleep on his own for naps and bedtime. But all that does is makes me miss our bedtime snuggles so I’m meh on that being successful lol. This weekend is going to be a crapshoot anyway since my sister is visiting and we have to put him to sleep in our room in the pnp so pfffft. Oh well. Ugh I had something else to share but my memory is like 50x worse lately! Anyone else?

addymac, thanks! My mom is going to take her for a few hours tomorrow. Hopefully that will be enough! I've been cramming at night after Mariah goes to sleep and doing ok on practice tests, so 🤞. Also, yes! My memory is gone! I literally go to the store for like four things and cannot remember two of them by the time I get there. 🤦

My memory is shot too. I have sticky notes all over my desk at work and planner at home. Dh memory is shot too. We've gone to the market 3 times this week and still didn't get the one thing we needed.

Add me to the memory loss. It’s super frustrating because I used to be so good at remembering things I need to do/say/ask ect. cali I hope studying goes well and you ace your test! Sorry YH isn’t being an equal in the parenting department. Honestly, I’ve heard many seasoned parents say the first 12-18 months were the hardest on couples trying to figure out how to parent together successfully. I can definitely see how some moms just get in the mindset to do everything for the baby, because it’s almost more exhausting explaining to their SO on what they need to be doing too. But keep working on him and let him know you need his help and his relationship with DD is very important too.

We went to the aquarium today for our good friends sons 2nd bday. Holy moly it was sooo packed. I think it took just as long to stand in line for tickets and it did walking through the exhibits. We saw some cool underwater creatures tho and I think the baby was entertained.

Good to see you muscari I do not know what I did but my shoulders are killing me. It was weird because I grabbed my shoulders at the same time DH grabbed his back. It must be the pressure. It actually brought me to my knees. It hurt every time I breathed. I took a pill and a shower and while it still hurts it's no longer unbearable thankfully.

R woke up at 4am. I usually deal with R during the week and will usually shut off the monitor until she falls asleep, but didn’t last night. H thought I wanted him to help - so he got her up to feed her. I’m like, dude, this is how it rolls every day - I don’t get her out until 6am. So, hopefully, things go smoothly. Maybe girl was hungry, but I’m not getting up everyday at 4am.
I looked at T’s baby book last night. She started getting into the sitting up position on her own at 7 months and crawling at 7.5 months. It’s crazy that we’re almost there.

There seems to be such a broad spectrum when it comes to a lot of issues.
