twohopes, Speedy, I'm leaving work now and heading over to the doc. My spotting has gotten heavier since yesterday so I'm not feeling so great about it, but fingers crossed everything is okay.

twohopes , Speedy , I'm leaving work now and heading over to the doc. My spotting has gotten heavier since yesterday so I'm not feeling so great about it, but fingers crossed everything is okay. If it gives you any kind of reassurance, I had a lot of spotting with this pregnancy, too. I'll spare you all the details, but I'm hoping for the best for you that it's all going to be okay. <3

I've been thinking about you. ❤ FX that the spotting isn't an indication of anything bad and that your ultrasound is a good one. Sending love and hugs friend. You know where to find me if you need anything. (((HUGS)))

I hope the ultrasound brings good news. I hate spotting SO MUCH. Rama, I might ask you the gory details next time I am freaking out.

I lost it leaving the office today. The nurse congratulated me and that made me shrug. Then I went to get more progesterone from the pharmacy, and the price doubled at the start of the year. And it's compounded, so my insurance doesn't cover it. $2 a suppository and I use 2 per day until the second trimester. $120 for a month and who knows if it will even work. It feels like such a charade going in for these betas because with my last two they doubled perfectly and it still didn't work out. I am not finding them at all reassuring.
Sorry I'm so crabby. I need to get more sleep.

Ugh, I had such a high trigger day yesterday. If you struggle with medical anxiety, please be warned.
We had a 16 week anatomy scan, due to my history. Confirmed baby was a boy, which we knew from the NIPT, and everything came back beautiful, he is growing ahead of schedule and nothing was of concern. Except, they found a choroid plexus cyst in the part of the brain where spinal fluid is made. It is seen in 1 to 3 percent of normal pregnancies and means nothing clinically, there is no consequence. But in about 1 in 1200 cases it could be associated with Trisomy 18. We were screened negative for that with the NIPT, so the clinical guidelines by the society for maternal and fetal medicine say, don't worry about it. That was what the doctor said too. Well, guess who spent 6 hours crying, spiralling down the road of false negative tests (5 in 10000) and everything else. We could get an amnio to know for sure, but the risks of that are far bigger than any worries and I don't want to do it. So, I juat feel kind of cheated out of a normal pregnancy yet again, and pissed. I am realistically not too worried. But, I hate it. Thanka for letting me get it out. Anyone heard of this?

twohopes I haven't heard of that but I would react exactly as you have. I'm sorry you're so upset/scared. You and baby are in my t&ps.

Thank you, notmoose. I work for a large organization in maternal and child health, and our own materials on this for women say it's nothing. Why does PGAL distort everything. I found two threads on here that also report a happy end.

twohopes you’re doing exactly what I would do to calm my anxieties. Researching and reading. I’m sorry you have this extra layer of stress to handle.
