helloerrbody, I'm only 2 weeks pp but I'm having some painful BMs and some not painful ones. No pattern, I don't think. Like you, I'm not having trouble going, it just hurts sometimes. Wish I had more to help but at least we've got some solidarity.

sparky85 have you tried bicycling her legs? That can sometime help. I’ve also heard if taking the tip of the rental thermometer and inserting it slightly. Both of these have worked for us.

Hi!
Groceries - check!
DD is going to go down for a nap. I'm going to get wash in and keep on with the cleaning game.
DH scrubbed the bathroom clean and cleaned my kitchen cabinets and washed the dog. He's always been pretty good at helping me with chores but I generally have to ask a few times, until I do it and he says, "you just had to ask" 🙄 so I'm happy to see it all clean. Today I'm hoping to do our bedroom and we should be mostly done!
I just pulled a groin muscle though loading laundry, so for now I'm on my ass doing school work.

helloerrbody I’m having the same issues!! I was going to post about it earlier but figured no1curr haha. I had no tearing and no hems at birth either. I had normal BMs PP, no straining and no issues. I had a super painful BM about a week ago and ever since then I now have hemorrhoids. Super TMI ahead... I had some serious diarrhea issues last night and ever since then I’ve been bleeding. I’ve been using prepH cream but doesn’t seem to be helping.

Started a Whole30 today and I’m already wanting to emotionally eat things. Our house cleaner comes tomorrow so I’m trying to pick up. But I have too many kids. 😬 And no one else in my family shares the same view on ‘picked up’ as I do. I told my oldest two that anything not put away in the morning is going in a black trash bag.
Baby seriously needs to take a decent nap.

I’m so sorry amesie and easternshoregirl. Yes to solidarity. It’s so annoying because I thought I was in the clear since all was fine for awhile. Ugh.

I am now pregnant for the longest I've ever been. With kiddo, I was 8 days overdue but he was born around 2am. I am now, again, 8 days overdue with no signs of labor starting anytime soon.
I had a midwife appointment this morning. I have an NST tomorrow, BPP on Thursday and then the midwife will do a gel insertion to see if she can get anything moving. If not, induction is scheduled for Sunday (42 weeks exactly).
In the meantime, I am having ALL of the RRL tea, evening primrose oil, dates & sex.

I ended up taking DD to the pediatric hospital emergency and it is insane! I've been here over 2 hours and I just got into an exam room. They took a rectal temp 2 hrs ago and she still hasn't pooped. She is currently sleeping, but will start screaming whenever she wakes up. Fingers crossed the Dr's can do something for her to make her more comfortable. pippiann DD is also iron fortified plus high cal formula, but until Saturday she was having at least 6 diapers with poop in them a day. It was mostly explosive diarrhoea, and her bum was raw. That I addition to the vomiting lead them to lactose intolerance and changing her formula. I have a call in to the dietitian from the NICU, but because of he holiday I won't hear back until tomorrow at the earliest.

Aw sparky85 I hope she’s feeling better soon! helloerrbody same as you, no tearing vaginal birth and agree just before 2 weeks PP things got really painful..N had her two week checkup and I mentioned it but it had already started getting less painful, and she prescribed me a cream that worked really well when I was having issues after. I’m 5.5 weeks PP now and kind of forgot all that happened already, so hopefully everything clears up for you soon!

And hello! It’s a holiday here today and H has the rest of the week off for winter break. We got a bunch of stuff down around the house this morning that had been piling up and stressing me out so that feels good. One of my aunts came for a visit this afternoon with her kids (HS aged) to meet N and play with my kids for a bit, and now DS is at his speech class. I got talking camping with my aunt while she was here because we were hoping to do some together this summer and now I’m getting extra excited about summer thinking about getting ready for camping again whee!
Hope everyone has a good one!

girlonabike, that is ROUGH. I am thankful that my OB office will induce at 41w and not make me go on too much longer. I anticipate having to go in for induction at the end of the month.. likely Mar 1. On the plus side... I'll get extra paid time off from work. Well, not extra, but just more paid time, since I'll fill a loophole in the disability policy (I went out 2w before my EDD and I get 6w disability after she's born - with my DD I got an extra of pay week in there). We're planning for me to go back 5/14 no matter what, and we built in an extra week and a half of "unpaid" time at the end JUST in case I did have to be induced. So.

DD1 is STILL napping. so is MH. ... guess everyone will be up late tonight!
I really think I'm going to take DD1 to the zoo tomorrow (the smaller, local one, not the big one). I asked my mom if she wanted to go with because it would be good for her to get out of the house. It'll still be a little cool in the morning, but I can't pass up nice weather! Plus, maybe if I can get out and walk, I can get things moving.
I figure we'll do the zoo on the earlier side, then grab Chick-Fil-A and drop my mom off at her house before going home for a nap.
DD1 is already asking for beach trips. I know a lot of you ladies had your older ones earlier than I had my DD.. how do you deal with an itty in the sand? My DD's first beach trip was around 8mo so it felt easier.
Sorry there is so much talk about DD1. I hate this part about being at the end of my BMB - two times going now!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a good Monday.
DS is 1 week old today and I'm sad it's going so fast. I finally got a few hours of sleep last night so I had a better day, but I'm starting to crash again. Hoping for an early bed time tonight!

I am going in tomorrow to get checked out and if I’m not dilated at all, they will keep me overnight so I can have a dose of something or other at 4am, then start pitocin around 7am Wednesday morning. If I am dilated, I get to go home for the night and come in early just for the pitocin. I’m hoping I get another night in my own bed, but I’m happy for a finish line either way. I’m already two weeks past when DS was born, so I guess that was just a fluke. It’s been nice to have the time to get some extra things done, but I’m pretty ready to have my body back (jk, I’m breastfeeding and DH will have his hands full with the 20 month old, so my body will still essentially be a baby carrier).

sparky85 I hope she poops soon and is more comfortable. poor girl (and mommy!) Still no poop. We were sent home from the hospital with a glycerin suppository to use if she has still not pooped in another 24 to 48 hours.

sparky85 I’m late to respond but with DD1 she went a long time without pooping and our doctor had us add a little Karo syrup to her bottle and that did the trick. DD2 was constipated a few weeks ago and the doctor told us to give her an oz of water and if that didn’t work to do prune or pear juice with water. She ended up pooping normally so we didn’t need to do either. Usually they can tell you what to do if you just call your ped’s after hours line because I’m sure all doctors recommend something different

I spent all day listing a ton of clothes on a bst and during breaks working on getting DD2 to smile and capturing a picture of it. Ended the day up $300 and got this!

I can’t even sarahh. Can’t wait til DS can smile!!! It’s funny because there isn’t much smiling but there are a lot of weird expressions - scrunched up nose, Elvis lip, squinty eyes. I can tell she’s trying to figure out how to make her face do what she wants it to do but is just not there yet. It’s definitely entertaining me though!

My 4 year old told me she was sad but wouldn't tell me why.
I don't know if she truly was sad or if it was a stalling tactic to going to sleep.

sunfrogger I took G to the beach at just two months old. I had an umbrella but I didn’t need it because it was cloudy. Then I put a towel down and I let her lay down on it. She took a nice warm comfy nap. When I took her on vacation at 10mo, MH laid with her in the hammock while I swam. The warmth makes then nice and sleepy.
