rebeccabunch Sure am! I've been working part time since going back to work after having DS, so it's not as tiring as the first pregnancy when I was still full time. It is pretty great, even though I can't massage myself, there's usually someone around to rub my back for a minute or two if I need it. Massages are the best!

DS and I had a pretty great morning, we went to a friend's house for a big playdate with a few other moms. We just sat and talked while the kids ran around the fenced in play area, and it was wonderful. Besides the adult conversation, I mostly enjoyed not having to chase after him the entire time. I got to sit, talk, and drink my McDonald's iced coffee. Glorious.
Today is H's birthday, so after DS wakes up from his nap and H gets home from work (yes, he insists on still working on his birthday) we're meeting up with some family at a Mongolian Grill for dinner. We went there for my birthday last month, because free birthday meal, and it is so so good. Also, kids under 4 eat free, so it's a double win and we only have to pay for my dinner. For desert I picked up a Reese's (H's fave) ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. I'm. So. Excited.

At work, part of my job responsibilities is to help train new people. This one girl was acting like she knew what she was doing (she doesn't) and was taking extremely long to complete a task. I basically let her sink herself and had to justify why I did what I did to my supervisor today. Luckily they agreed with me but I really feel like I shouldn't have to do this to new people. I don't want to say it's a millennial thing but it really seems like most of the new staff that's come in the past 2-3 years are really adverse to admitting they don't know something and asking for help. I work in the kind of job that people that have worked here for 30 years don't know everything and ask colleagues for advice all the time. Is anyone else experiencing this in their work place? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes. This. I have staff members that don't ask for help until it's WAY too late. Or they ask each other and it doesn't end well. And I have strong relationships with them, so I don't know why they hesitate sometimes. It's frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks to britt Taitai and rebeccabunch for the potty training/pooping advice. And anyone I missed. I'll try probiotics and water for now, DS doesn't really eat fruit. Food is going to be the next battle, once we're done with potty training. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DD and I went to Costco and the playground this morning. Just came in from watering my plants and weeding my flower beds. I need to tidy up a bit and sweep. Laundry is running.
Basically I am trying to catch up as best as I can from a weekend away!

Enjoy dinner tonight!

DD and I caught up today with a friend and her two kids. DD is a week older than her son so it's fun to catch up with her when I come up to my parents. She has a newborn too so it was extra fun to hold the baby and imagine where we'd be in a few months (or overwhelmed - I alternate between the two mostly!)

This helps too if he will eat it. DS2 eats every fruit to the point we have to limit it. Amazing how diff two kids can be.

Wish we were at the same one! ETA did you decline the X-ray thing? I always do when I'm pg or my kids are with me. I declined today thinking I'd get the metal detector and the TSA agent made the biggest deal about it. I was furious. I had to get the pat down.

It was annoying but no one got uppity about it. TSA bro must be having a bad day.

When I went away with DD we got to walk through the X-ray so i thought I could when I went without her cuz pregnant , and I said I wanted to opt out and they were like nope nope nope you get the pat down! I feel like it depends on who you get because the lady in Boston was super aggressive about it and they made a big deal about it, but the lady in Myrtle Beach was sooo super nice!

Whenever I've been pregnant and flew, I've declined the body scanner and metal detector and gotten a pat down. Some people have been really nice and chatted about babies with me while others were like annoyed and rough and I was like, are you checking for weapons or performing a version?

Made it! In my Uber on my way home. For some reason I shout my pregnancy from the rooftops when I travel.
I had like 8 business travelers scrambling to win most helpful getting my roller down from the overhead bin. Help me! I'm pregnant!

I just realized that when I flew while pregnant with DS I didn't even think about the x-ray. But maybe the airports didn't use them? Or maybe I wasn't selected? I don't know. I wasn't told to go through an x-ray, but I did walk through the metal detectors each time.

Regular Tuesday here. DS started to really fuss in bed, so I went in there to rock him. He rested his head on my belly. ❤ I don't think he understands what's going on or what I mean when I point to my belly and tell him there's a baby.

Sorry for the delayed response. My phone wouldn't hold a charge at the airport yesterday and my flight kept getting delayed. Got home around 10:30. Exhausted today.

I just need to announce that I'm pregnant and special at every opportunity, even those involving TSA. This may be a controversial and ill informed comment, but I'd think we are exposed to more radiation simply in flight than the X-ray machine.
