csho I’m replying to your post on yesterday’s thread. Nothing too exciting here. Just hanging on by a thread with the two boys now. My year started with a case of shingles, the flu, and a funeral- MH’s grandmother. M2 is still up for a bottle multiple times a night and I’m just always tired. Good times.

Wow, guster! What a turn of events. First another full cash offer on your house, now an offer on one of your final picks! I hope everything works out in your favor. I know you narrowed it down to two houses. Do you like this one more than the other? We're down to three-- The contemporary from yesterday, the colonial today, and a colonial we haven't seen (we do that on Monday with a re-visit on today's) I think I'd be happy eith either house we saw, but I like this one best because it's on a cul-de-sac and it is the closest commute for mh. The other is on a double yellow lined street (which was a hard no for me until I saw how far away from the road it was and then I softened a little); The commute is about 10 minutes longer, and it's about $30,000 more, but otherwise everything is pretty equal. Same number of bedrooms, bathrooms, same room count on the main level, both have unfinished basements, decks and nice pools. We may end up throwing extra money at today's colonial because the street and the commute are at the top of my priority list. |

I updated tapa and it keeps removing the boards I'm subscribed to. It's really annoying. I just switched to using tapa again, because the mobile version keeps redirecting me to weird ‘you won’ site, and I’m having the same issue. It won’t keep our board as subscribed and it’s so annoying. please check my instructions on how to fix the problem  |

Just got home from date night. The food was excellent. I took the opportunity to speak to Dh about his trip faux pas and how I felt I wasn’t being listened to. We went through it and it was truly a miscommunication by both of us and he apologized for not listening. I feel good about our conversation. We also discussed how I deal with stress by talking about it and he deals by avoidance so sometimes he tries to avoid my stress. We both will work on understanding and supporting each other better.
C was awake when we got home. The sitter said he was in his room for a half an hour and had just come out again. I didn’t think she’d be able to get him into bed, but I was hopeful. He is in bed now.

Dude's campout night was revoked for bad behavior. So obviously bedtime was a disaster. We had to stick to our guns though.
Now Pete is out getting me a Razzleberry Pie.
The mom hosting the party today went out of her way to get Dude a vegan cupcake. It was really sweet of her. Her daughter goes to the elementary that Dude will attend next year and even though she's a year older I'm glad someone familiar will be there. We also learned another boy he plays with a lot at DC will be doing TK with him.

Home from bingo. The prizes were pretty lame. I came home with a mat to put shoes on and a glass latern thing. I only ended up with them because no one was willing to steal them from me.
I left before the blackout, which has a cash prize. My brother won and the pot was $210, so that was nice for him.
Cadence had fun playing with her 2nd cousins and I enjoyed getting to spend time with my brother and other family.
Cadence didn't fall asleep until we were like 5 minutes from home, but crashed pretty quickly once I got her in bed.

I struggled with the board not sticking and got very frustrated and was about to give up tapa when I figured out how to switch the views. |

MH and I went to a nice steak house that we had a gift card to. It is this old farmhouse converted to restaurant and it was packed. I was shocked because they don't advertise at all and the sign is barely lit from the street. But they had good drinks. E went to his old daycare and he was good but still up at 930 so we picked him up. We wanted to see black panther but it was sold out. I think I had a small stomach bug today which made date night not as romantic.

MH and I went to a nice steak house that we had a gift card to. It is this old farmhouse converted to restaurant and it was packed. I was shocked because they don't advertise at all and the sign is barely lit from the street. But they had good drinks. E went to his old daycare and he was good but still up at 930 so we picked him up. We wanted to see black panther but it was sold out. I think I had a small stomach bug today which made date night not as romantic. Was it Andria’s Steakhouse? I LOVE that place. Nothing makes me happier than a good filet mignon! You can buy their steak sauce at Schnucks...and maybe Dierberg’s. We have 3 bottles of it in our pantry right now. I stock up when I’m in town. Lol. |

Morning Ladies! My mom's house has a million skylights, so the kids were up at the first glimmer of daylight. Woof. Theo slept in a PnP in the master suite with us, and I heard every little noise he made. I guess it was good practice for having a newborn in the room again. We are going to close up the house and head downtown to the Field Museum today, but first...coffee.

wedding I'm glad you and H had a chance to talk. It's so hard when you are having a tough time and maybe it does'nt feel like your H is acknowledging it...even if it's totally unintentional on his part. That part you said about how both of you handle stress is an ongoing conversation for us in couples therapy. It's really hard work to re-wire emotional responses, so it's great that you two can have open dialogue about how it affects you. Shout out to your booty today too...I can't wait until this is all behind you. (Giggle).

Travelers, Stranger Things, The OA, The Handmaids Tale, Mindhunter, Black Mirror, The Killing, 13 Reasons Why, Riverdale, Atypical, Love, The End of the Fing World. ...And probably some more that I’m forgetting.
.... which are all really good if anyone is looking for anything to watch... and oh my gosh I watch too much tv.
What else is out there that’s good??

MH is still asleep. He was sick all night so I got no sleep. Pretty sure it’s because he drank beer, vodka & wine last night. He won’t admit it though. 🙄
