I get up at 6:30 and want to die everytime. Hell to the fuck no at getting up at 4:30.
We're mean parents and turn the baby monitor off if K gets up early. She's in the next room so if she's actually crying ill get up. We got a crib toy thing that attaches to the side specifically so she could entertain herself for a bit in the early morning.

You people with the early risers make me feel #blessed that my kid sleeps until at least 7. She is making up for it by being a clingy mess though. So much whining today and flipping out if I move 3 feet away. God damn bottom fangs are coming in and she's never been a happy tether. I have my nanny kid today too. However she did put on her shoes this morning on the correct feet all by herself, proving that she's really not a baby anymore, is she? This is a big achievement! I'm looking forward to when DS can do this, as it might make getting out the door a *little* quicker and easier.

My kid loves sleep. He sleeps until 8am at least. Last Saturday I had to go wake him up 9am. His naps are down to about 70% of the time now, though. But no nap just means an earlier bedtime.

Starting Monday H is switching to their daycare and so he will be taking them and bring them home. It will save on gas for sure but that means I have his truck and he has my car. And I now will be still getting the kids ready but then I get ready after they all leave since my work is only 15 minutes away. The only day I will go get them is Friday since I'm done way before he will be. So, in some ways it will be nice since we can both sleep in a little bit and the kids will still get up at same time. I will miss the time in the car with them but not the hassle of the traffic and the time saved on gas. Also this means I will be back to cooking most meals. This is really similar to my schedule, which I love. I WFH, so H drops them off at preschool on the way to work. I still get the kids ready, but I go for a run and get ready after they leave. I do pickups though, since our home is closer to preschool than his work.

This sleep training thing is brutal with 2 children because they wake each other up. Please send coffee 😴😴😴

cinnamon ugh that has been my big fear about having two! So far they rarely wake each other but we haven't put baby in the crib yet or done any real sleep training

I work 7-4 (or 7:30-4:30) hence the 5am wakeup. At least 40 minutes of that is nursing the baby. I prep everything I can the night before so that I can shower and run out the door. It's nice having the long evening with the family, not so nice that it means my toddler is up by 7 no matter what day it is.

I haven't gotten more than 6 hours of consecutive sleep in a long, long time 😢

DS gets up at 6am but has learned to play quietly in his room in the mornings until after 7. No thank you to ever getting up before 6.

The only time in my life I woke up before 5 am was in my fitness craze which lasted 3-4 mo. I'd be at the gym by 5 am. And asleep in my bed by 8 pm. This was before kids and hubbie. LOL, silly, young me.

We're up at 6 during the week for work, so we have to get up early anyway. But the 5:15-5:30 wakeup is the WORST because it's too close to our alarm time to go back to sleep, and it's too long before the alarm to feel like it's okay.

I mean, I don't like getting up at 5 either. At all. But that's what time R wakes up. And then he inevitably poops. And cries. So I can't really leave him and just go back to sleep because I'm tired, you know?
I'm hoping it's a phase. He used to get up between 6:30 - 7:15. I long for those days.

My kids apparently hit a growth spurt last night and somebody gave them Red Bull. All of a sudden they can get on, over, and around all the things they shouldn't.
My day started with E puking out her nose and falling off the couch. It got better but not easier!
Thankfully they did nap a solid 2 hours so I could get some rearranging/baby proofing done.

Also my kids usually wake up between 7:30 and 8. They used to get up at 6 but DST, nap transition and ignoring them I guess helped us with that. My husband works late (no matter what time he goes in) so on the old schedule he spent time with them in the morning but I was usually on my own for the rest.
