is anyone strictly formula feeding? I have a question on how many oz your LO's are drinking per feed. DS2 is Currently at 40z per feed but sometimes he seems hungry after or a bit later and given our recent stomach surgery i'm hesitant to up it but also don't want to restrict the little guy I am strictly FF. DD2 was just born Sunday, but I am familiar with FF from DD1. How old is LO?

Which pampers, ajetter ? I found some leaked and some didn't :/ I just nodded off mid response. Lol. There were tons of random letters typed. 😂 Pampers swaddlers. I swore by pampers swaddlers with DD but DS leaks the shit out of them. Huggies seem to be the only thing that works for him. Super weird!

He takes 3ozs every three hours. But in the morning he takes 2ozs every two hours ish. And at night before bed he gets crazy hungry. Last night he took 3oz at 7pm, 2oz at 8:15 and and then another 2 at 9. I have no idea how or why.

H seems to be better and knock on wood I only got sick once. Now trying to keep the boys from it. DS1 came home and said 4 kids were out sick today from school. H has been wearing a mask gloves to help clean and help with the baby when needed. I really hope it’s enough.

maddisonrose we were just supplementing but switched to FF a few weeks ago. She takes 3-4oz every 3-4 hours. She was taking 4 oz at like 3 weeks but had backed off a bit in the last few weeks. And she was 12lbs at her appt at 6 weeks last week.

maddisonrose I believe my DD was only at about 3 oz every 3 hours or less by that time. Normally when I am thinking of increasing ounces I try to add 1/2 -1 ounce during the middle break of the normal feed. If it is taken consistently and the regular amounts is also consumed for a couple days then I increase. 🤷🏻♀️ sometimes this works, sometimes not

I know I'm doing the "right" thing in nursing as much as I can and then supplementing with formula (right for us and my goals) but I'm getting so tired of having my boobs out all day (and she is a lazy eater with the boobs) AND having to fix and wash bottles all the time. The few times I've pumped have not been worth the time and effort, about 0.5 oz TOTAL each time so I will probably stop nursing or at least cut back when I go back to work. The middle of the night feeds are the worst because it just takes so freakin' long and I just want to go back to sleep.
Any tips on getting her to nurse faster/more efficiently?

Anybody else hit the period of purple crying yet? Yikes. I wish I would have taken a video tonight. I looked at my husband and just started laughing saying parenting is awesome. Both boys screaming at the top of their lungs. We finally got both calmed and I plan to have a glass (or two) of wine during my night pump.

Speaking of crying, mamas don’t forget infant crying generally peaks about 6-8 weeks. Then should start to taper off by 3 or 4 months. Comic is real. The witching hour is real. You might feel like you’re going to lose your mind. If you need a laugh...
*Colic. Colic is real. Typing is hard sometimes.

I'm not sure if I'm seeing unicorns instead of horses or if I'm just being hopeful but my lower back has been killing me for the last 2 hrs. We DTD tonight as well so. Well see i suppose. I'm trying not to get my hopes up!
After feeling the Tula blankets my gf sent me I am trying to talk myself out of a Tencel blend ring sling. My Lille is linen I think. I haven't even used it yet so who knows if I'll like it!

Haha. That's just what I needed ajetter. This kid's witching hour hits the hour we are trying to get the big kid down for the night. Super awesome timing. You can't help but laugh it off as you do your best to try to find a way to console him.

I just realized that I go back to work 2 weeks from yesterday 😥 not sure I’m ready yet. We did get two nanny candidates this week to interview next week so hopefully we really like one of them!

Yes to screaming. Last night was rough. It hit right as I was trying to sit down to eat dinner. It is like he read the book since he will be 6 weeks on Sunday.
