Your child's teacher posting pics/videos of the class on their public, personal social media sites without any signed consent from you or anything.

Yes. I'm not a fan of my kid's face on social media that's not my/DH's account. Especially if the account posting is public.
Here, at registration there's a section on photos and if the parent consents to social media postings. At the beginning of the year DD's school didn't have any accounts but there's now multiple created in the last month on separate SM's. They're all public and run by someone through the district, but it still doesn't sit right with me. Next school year I will not be consenting and since I follow the school on all their SM's I'll be reporting if I see DD's pic. It's cute to see "life in the classroom" but I think some teachers overlook the info put out on the internet.

Yes, it would bother me if I didn't give consent. The posting on personal pages is completely uncalled for, I can't imagine a consent form would cover that.

Yea. So what happened was I stumbled upon DS' teacher on Twitter by going through the very small following the school has. She uses her full name so it's not like she's hidden. She's currently going to school to try to be a principal so she's networking with these admins & leadership groups/tags them in their methods & blah blah blah & often posts pics/videos from the classroom in relation to it. It's really rubbing me the wrong way because anything I've seen of teachers doing this they'd block out faces or get the pic from behind, etc but she is literally posting the same videos/pics she posts on this app classdojo that she shares with us as parents. Like wtf. I remember last year, the kindergarten teacher had mentioned she was going for her 3 or 4 year license or whatever & had to videotape one of her lessons at some point & had a waiver of whether or not we'd want our kid to be in the video that day. Very professional. Omg.. just the other day, one of the 2nd grade teachers tracked me down to get my permission to use one of the pics she had of DS from the summer before kindergarten for a gofundme campaign for their kindercamps they run to get kids ready for kindergarten. Like photos are a no nonsense subject I had thought & this one is parading our class around.

Yes, I would not be happy. We signed a waiver at the start of the school year and that is just for pics they take on special days and a few in between to be put on the class page on the website. Nothing else especially not somebody’s personal SM.

Yes, it would bother me. My son's teacher has a Shutterfly site that she uses to post pictures and things like volunteer sign ups but it is private and by invite only.
