Weeks pregnant: 37+4 Baby is the size of a: honeydew FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM Team: blue Appointments: Friday for OB checkup Symptoms: dare I say it? ...less SPD pain. I can actually lift my left leg to put on pants now. But still difficulty sleeping. It’s like if I sleep in one position too long, baby is all shifted to one side and it is really uncomfortable to turn over. Also headaches. Milestones: officially considered near-term? And we installed the car seat in my car. Shit is getting real. Rants/Raves/Vents: The nursery is almost done and I could not be happier! MH has really kicked it into gear over the last week and we’ve been getting a lot done to prepare. We still have a to do list, but both sets of parents are coming this weekend (I think) so they will help. GTKY: I don’t have any really great or bad Valentine’s stories. Most of my great valentine’s days have included homemade cutout cookies sent in the mail from my mom. Not this year though bc of stupid GD. But I did tell her that I’m really hoping for some cutouts for my first post-delivery meal.

Weeks pregnant: 32w2d Baby is the size of a: Not sure FTM/STM/TTM/etc: 4th Team: Blue Appointments: I had one yesterday. Everything is going good. Only 4 more appointments left until my RCS. Symptoms: Let's just say I'm miserable Milestones: Rants/Raves/Vents: This carpal tunnel can suck it. GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? I don't really have a best or a worst. It's never been a favorite holiday of mine to celebrate.

Weeks pregnant: 34 Baby is the size of a: she was measuring 5 lbs 1 oz at my growth ultrasound today FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: pink Appointments: growth ultrasound this morning, OB next Tuesday Symptoms: nausea, sciatic pain, insomnia, overall I'm super uncomfortable Milestones: I got my first "so any day now?" which I never got with DD1 so I guess that's a milestone. Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm so ready to meet this baby GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Day? Mh's and I first Valentine's Day he was an hour away at college and I was a senior in high school. He was planning on driving up on Valentine's Day so we could go out after I was done with school but we had a horrible snow storm and he had said he probably wouldn't be able to come anymore. I was bummed but he ended up surprising me at home that morning with flowers because he came the night before to avoid the snow.

Weeks pregnant: 34w1d Baby is the size of a: Basketball hoop FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: Pink Appointments: This afternoon Symptoms: The normal...nausea, inability to breathe Milestones: This baby has officially been inside longer than I was or either of my parents so that's a big thing for me. Rants/Raves/Vents: I feel so close yet so very far. GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? I recently shared this somewhere, I hope not here. Sorry if I'm repeating myself though. In college...they did a condom-gram for Valentine's day. So you could send a valentine to someone with a condom attached. Sounds good in theory. Except they stapled the condoms to the cards Luckily I realized that prior to use.

cp3, my daughter is wearing those same leggings today. She's obsessed with all things pink and was so excited to wear them to school for her Valentine's Day party. And of course she wanted me to wear pink too since it's Valentine's Day.

Weeks pregnant: 28+4 Baby is the size of a: eggplant FTM/STM/TTM/etc: third Team: pink Appointments: GTT this morning, MFM next Wednesday, & normal OB the following. Symptoms: n/v, sinus issues, some exhaustion, RLP, hip pain, heartburn/reflux. Milestones: third tri! Rants/Raves/Vents: how can my hips feel so tight & sore & loose & falling out of the joints all at once? Such an odd conundrum. GTKY: last year, my grandparents kept the kids for the night & I made us a super fancy dinner with multiple courses & coordinating wines. It was so good and so fun. I think it was extra special because it was the last “holiday” with my grandpa (he passed away about 6 weeks later unexpectedly) and both my kids were super close with him. I think it may have been their last sleepover with him as well, but I don’t remember. From Saturday.

Weeks pregnant: 31w5d
Baby is the size of a: otter
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: stm
Team: green and I HATE IT RIGHT NOW
Appointments: OB every two weeks, boutique US next week!!!! I’m excited to have a little face to think about ❤️
Symptoms: I actually feel pretty good pregnancy-wise! Some tolerable back pain and shortness of breath but I’m enjoying this stage more than I thought I would.
Milestones: Nada
Rants/Raves/Vents: I actually need to do some work in the nursery at some point and then figure out how to hire cleaners for before/after the baby is born. I’m just feeling very overwhelmed with work, baby prep, everyone being sick, potty training, etc.
Unrelated rave: I made a healthier version of a pizza casserole I found online and it is AMAZING.
GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? When DH and I were first sort of dating I peaked out to study abroad in Spain for 5 months. We weren’t officially together but we chatted almost everyday online and I missed him so so much. He spent $$$ to mail me a little bear and a few American candies I had mentioned missing. He also used to write me a bunch of little letters, fold them like we all did in middle school and send them to me in batches. It was one the ways I knew I’d marry him.

Weeks pregnant: 34+6 Baby is the size of a: mini lop rabbit FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: green Appointments: I saw my midwife yesterday and everything sounds good. My hemoglobin went up to 109! So that's awesome. They'll check it one more time to make sure we can go through with a home birth. Next appointment is our home visit. Symptoms: Achey hips and sore back and shoulders. Lots of Braxton hicks, and occasional heartburn. Milestones: my maternity shirts aren't covering quite enough belly. Rants/Raves/Vents: my supervisor didn't submit my end date to HR so now I have to do it. At home, I'm feeling much more organized and relaxed about baby prep. We just have to stay on top of cleaning. GTKY: I literally don't have any valentine's stories. We never really do anything because it falls right in between our birthdays and anniversary. I don't think I've ever had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day before SO.

Weeks pregnant: 33w6d Baby is the size of a: ferret, fanny pack FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM (4th pg) Team: Blue Appointments: Checkup next week Symptoms: Heartburn, everything is tight, always feeling like I have to pee, hemis, the usual Milestones: Meh Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm waffling hard on maternity pictures. I really don't think it's a responsible financial decision especially because we're springing for our favorite but pricey photog for newborn pics, but I'm way sentimental and hoping I won't regret not doing a maternity session for my (likely) last pregnancy. I generally feel just a little distant from this pregnancy lately because we don't have a nursery to put together, and there really isn't any big setup or shopping to do that can't be done quickly and at the last minute. And I don't want to rob this pregnancy of the joy and anticipation I had with my first? I don't know, I'm probably hormonal and overthinking it. GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? DH and I played the "we're dating in every sense but refuse to slap a label on it" game for several months. He was the holdout. And decided to finally make it official...three days before Valentine's Day. We laugh about the awkwardness now, eleven years later. My boobs are blowing up so my bump doesn't really look like it's increasing in size from week to week 😂

Weeks pregnant: 31+3
Baby is the size of a: otter/ romaine lettuce
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: stm
Team: Blue
Appointments: 2/20
Symptoms: Still with the heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. I feel like a broken record. :/
Milestones:
Rants/Raves/Vents: I am so tired of feeling sick. This whole pregnancy I think the longest I've gone without vomiting is 10 days in a row. This weekend was pretty bad, and yesterday I think the only thing I kept down all day was a bowl of chicken noodle soup. I feel bad thinking it, but I really wish I could talk my ob into delivering at 37 or 38 weeks instead of 39. Plus, I really want to throat punch mh some days because I think he doesn't understand how bad I feel.
GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? It's not the worst...but it was the most embarrassing to me. In college I was a music major & the majority of my friends were guys. Apparently one of my friends had a crush on me and I think I was the only one in the entire music department that didn't know. For Valentines Day he got to our band class early and put a chocolate rose on all of the flute players chairs except mine. Instead he came in and brought me some real roses...so I had 60+ people who saw him give me the flowers. I was so embarrassed since I didn't feel the same way and then I found out I was the only one that didn't know he liked me.

I haven’t checked in for a few weeks. :/ Weeks pregnant: 35 weeks tomorrow! Baby is the size of a: Pineapple FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM Team: Blue Appointments: I had one on Monday and my next one is 2/26 where they will do a growth US Symptoms: Tired, Nauseous, Throwing up Milestones: We had our baby shower on Saturday and baby was super spoiled!!! Also making progress on the nursery. Rants/Raves/Vents: GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? I don’t have anything! I don’t usually celebrate Valentines, I find it to be a silly holiday. This pic is from today! Baby had a little overnight growth spurt and I’m feeling rather large today!

katietopaz I feel you in the STM stuff. There was just so much more stuff to do, especially in the last month or two with DD, thatbthis fees anticlimactic or something. I just want to buy or set up something but I don’t even know what it would/could be! Do you have a local moms Facebook group? I found our photographer by posting on ours and the fresh48 and maternity sessions will be about $200 TOTAL because she’s new. It might be worth just doing *something* or just having a friend take a few? Are you keeping the same nursery from your first LO? Is there maybe a small, inexpensive update you could do like new wall art?

auri, sorry you are still feeling so bad! I had nausea and vomiting up through around 32 weeks and then suddenly it got better. I hope the same is true for you! (Also - I am also trying to convince my OB that 37 or 38 weeks is totally reasonable. So far, my suggestions have been rejected 😂)

Bonus points for bump pics😊
Weeks pregnant: 36 weeks
Baby is the size of a: a large baby
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: boy
Appointments: tomorrow, and weekly thereafter!
For some reason I’m pinning all my hope on tomorrow like somehow I’ll get all of my answers on delivery then. I’m pretty sure he is still transverse so I guess we will discuss a version and then possibly scheduling the RCS as a back up. I think I’ve made peace with the fact that a RCS may happen but it’s still not my first choice.
Symptoms: heartburn, reflux, back and hip pain, and restless legs and arms in the evenings.
Milestones: we did our hospital tour this past weekend. I found it mostly useless but I’m happy I will at least know where to go the day of delivery because I’ve never been to this one before.
Rants/Raves/Vents:
This week is flying by and then my last week of work is next week! I feel super guilty because we have a lot of people leaving right now and I feel like I should be stepping up and taking on more responsibility, not less. My coworkers keep telling me it’s okay to take some time for me before the baby arrives (i think it will be a week or two) so I’m trying to let myself off the hook and do that. But it’s so hard for me to do.
GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories?
Don’t think I have any that stand out. I’ve never really liked the holiday and DH and I don’t celebrate it.

Is there maybe a small, inexpensive update you could do like new wall art? Yes to all of those STM anticlimactic feelings! It's why I've been cleaning and purging everything to death. I should poke around our local FB groups - we're in such a population-dense area, I can't imagine it wouldn't be hard to find someone. If nothing else, I'm sure I could ask a friend to take a few simple pictures. And yes, this baby will be sharing a room (eventually) with our first kiddo, unless we move first. I'm definitely thinking of adding a new wall art piece or two, and doing a new changing pad cover, just so I have a few small updates. It doesn't feel like this baby will have any real space of his own, though - we're just kind of squeezing him into the things and space we have.

Symptoms: Tired, hungry, and might be getting some eczema?

Rants/Raves/Vents: I set my final date with my supervisor, so I guess it's official!
GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? I don't know if I have a best Valentine's day story. They're all pretty good. I bet next year is going to be awesome with a nearly one year old, though!

Weeks pregnant: 32+4
Baby is the size of a: pomelo
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: pink
Appointments: next Wednesday
Symptoms: rib pain, hip pain in the morning, some SPD pain still but it's actually feeling better the last couple of weeks
Milestones:
Rants/Raves/Vents: none this week!
GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories?
We don't do much for Valentine's day so none of them have been too memorable lol. I do remember one year we were in Amiens, France and we had a really lovely four-course dinner. I don't remember all the courses now since this was about 8 years ago, but I know the starter was coquilles St. Jacques and I had the most delicious chocolate crème brûlée for dessert. Food is always my favourite part of Valentine's day 😊

Weeks pregnant: 35+5
Baby is the size of a: bunch of carrots, mini lop rabbit
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: green
Appointments: biweekly NSTs, OB next Wednesday
Symptoms: same old stuff... nausea and vomiting, tired, sore, occasional swelling
Milestones: almost to weekly appointments
Rants/Raves/Vents: mentally I am done with work. My focus and motivation is out the window. I only have a few more cases that I need to wrap up before leave so I am in an okay spot at work.
GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? I have never been a fan of Valentine’s Day even more so **TW since it was the estimated due date for my 1st pregnancy loss **end TW. My H usually gets me tulips for Valentine’s Day.

Weeks pregnant: 37w 1d Baby is the size of a: tackle box FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: green Appointments: today. Not much different. Start cervical checks next week and discuss possibility of induction (which I’m still iffy about) Symptoms: sciatica/hip pain, heart burn, swollen feet. Milestones: “full term!” Rants/Raves/Vents: H thought I was crazy when I wanted to pack all our bags into the car for my appt. Hey- we’re driving 1.5 hours for an appt - if something happens I want to be prepared! GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? We had our first date on Feb 12, so we used to celebrate on that date instead so places weren’t as busy and just because it meant more to us that day. With G it’s a bit different I guess. I wasn’t expecting anything this year because we hadn’t talked about it/ things have been a bit tense with H the last while but he surprised me with chocolate and a bottle of de-alcoholized wine. Also this adorable card from G

Weeks pregnant: 31w 3d
Baby is the size of a: romain lettuce
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Growth scan yesterday. Everything looked great and they estimated she would be 8lbs. at term which is exact what DS was. She's head down and the placenta, that was over my cervix at the anatomy scan, has moved up and out of the way which is good.
Symptoms: Fatigue and heartburn. The usual. Feeling large and in charge.
Milestones: Nothing really
Rants/Raves/Vents: DS has been sick since Sunday with what we think was likely a mild flu. Thankfully he's on the mend now and has been fever free since late Tuesday evening. I have been disinfecting the house like crazy, but now I need to do all the sheets and pillows and whatnot. Still crossing my fingers that me and MH are able to remain healthy.
GTKY: Best or Worst Valentine's Stories? Nothing really stands out for some reason.

Weeks pregnant: 32w3d Baby is the size of a: bok choy FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: Blue Appointments: check up yesterday, next is 2/28 Symptoms: hip/back/pelvic pain, all the contractions, heartburn, the return of pregsomnia Milestones: well I made it past the point where I would need a steroid shot if I went into premature labor, so that's something Rants/Raves/Vents: my doc is still good w/ trying for a VBAC, but we set my RCS for 4/16 (41w0d) as a back-up. But then she told me she doesn't think I'll make it past the end of March GTKY: DH proposed on V Day. He got me a digital picture frame and loaded a bunch of pics of us onto it.
