hi! B is at school and was so excited for the card exchange, it's cute as they get older and get more 'into' things. C got up late so I haven't given the kids their Valentine's treats yet, we were in a rush to get everyone fed and out the door. She is currently protesting a nap from her crib, alternately singing and yelling. I need to get some laundry done and tidy up the kitchen, exciting stuff! How is this nap accomplished?! We rock forever until they pass out. I'm still too scared to attempt putting a baby/toddler down when they're awake. Well today it was *not* accomplished. I think she is on the verge of dropping down to one nap. Usually I can put her down drowsy but awake and she just rolls onto her tummy, burps and falls asleep. Sometimes she'll fuss for a couple minutes but usually not. This has been our routine for months so I think generally she's conditioned to it by now.

Another fan of that bracelet, dapostrophe. Such a neat idea. I'm sorry about the scare this morning, yummeecookee. It's definitely hard to think about work after something like that!

guster I’m not sure about the roofs? But pretty much everything here is stucco and earth tones to hold up to the heat and the sun. I think it’s very cookie cutter looking, I would love an old house with lots of history and character. But I do love our house (the inside at least) and I think I’ll like the outside more once we paint it! I hear ya, I feel like so much of what's been built lately in FL is very cookie-cutter. Not necessarily the southwestern style you mention, but just lots of stucco, boxy, everything kind of looks the same. There are a few homes around my hometown, and several in my parents neighborhood in particular, that are classic Spanish/Mediterranean/"hacienda" style. They have completely embraced it with the barrel tile roof, stained wood front and garage doors, vine-covered walls, etc. So gorgeous. I typically prefer classic traditional style-homes, but if one of those homes was on the market I would be sorely tempted!

Has anyone watched The Handmade’s Tale? I’m watching it right now and it’s so messed up! Not what I was expecting! I thought your cards were super cute too dapostrophe!! In other news- my anxiety has been through the roof. It’s never been this bad. It’s awful. I have no appetite. And I just feel trapped in my body. I am going to make an appointment. It just sucks in the meantime because that type of medicine takes so long to kick in. 🤦🏼♀️ Sorry to complain. Not here for hair pats.

sands42 I'm glad you made an appointment; I don't have any personal experience with anxiety but I can only imagine that with the stress of your H being gone, school, kids, etc. it could easily ratchet up. Hang in there, and come here for all the venting/complaining and hair pats you need!

It can help a lot when you have that overwhelming anxiety and help bridge the gap until an SSRI can kick in. I’m sorry. You have so much going on.

It’s never good when the patient in the next room at the Drs is screaming in pain.

sands42 I’m sorry girl, I’m glad you have an appointment. You handle so much. Also, handmaids tale is deeply disturbing but probably one of my favorite shows.

sands42, I think making the appt is a good idea. You’ve got so much going on right now and it makes me sad to hear the effect it’s having on you.

That sucks so bad, sands42. Do you have a med that works well for you once it does kick in? I know how bad anxiety can be and how you feel trapped and out of control. I hope you can get relief ASAP.

@sands, I devoured it last year. I can't wait for the next season. There's another Margaret Atwood adaptation out on Netflix called Alias Grace . I think it's only six episodes; I haven't tried it yet but I've heard good things.

Hi! yummeecookee, eek, just seeing the news. Glad it's under control. I installed space app on my phone to work on my phone usage, so I may be more absent more. This is my lent goal/need to do something. Happy v day! I put out treats for the kids and they are dressed cutely. I got my a card and he asked if he could open it tonight. I suspect I'll get a card? I'm currently annoyed with him on multiple items so not feeling super lovey dovey right now.

sands42 Thank you! Handmaid's Tale is great, but yeah...messed up. Sorry you are having a tough time with the anxiety. I definitely know that feeling. I'm glad you are getting some support and the meds can make SUCH a difference. Hang in there Lady...even Superwoman needs a hand from time to time 😉

Surgery 3/16. He said if it is just the tear I should feel relief almost immediately. My previous surgery also included removal of internal hemmies, which he said is incredibly painful. He won't know for sure that it's just a tear until day of because he needs to do a thorough sedated exam. The plan is to take a week off of work and go back early if I can. I'm ok with this plan and hopeful for this to be rectumfied. See what I did there...

peachsmama I forgot to comment yesterday but I'm not loving the yellow door. How do you feel about a teal/aqua: ![](http://www.kylieminteriors.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/the-best-teal-or-blue-green-paint-colour-for-the-exterior-of-a-front-door.jpg)

Before I had my tubal, I had a visit with my doctor to go over the details. While I was waiting for her to come in, I was sitting in the room and I swear, the next office must be a pediatrician's office, because I could hear what sounded like a newborn or super young baby, crying non-stop. By the time she came in and asked if I had changed my mind, I could confidently answer that I was fully prepared to move forward!

Hugs @sands! I got a trial of Hulu just for the Handmaids Tale but have not watched it yet. Probably after the Olympics. Good but dark and disturbing is kind of my jam. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I wanted to read the book first. It's a free rental if you have Amazon Prime--well I've been reading it for months and am still not done. It's embarrassing. It's a good book too and fairly short. I just have gotten out of a routine of reading and can't get back into it with any consistency.

Saw it at Target the other day and was wondering. Speaking of, I just read one called The Berlin Girl that was good. WWII-era (that seems to be a very popular period/setting lately) about a Jewish family that leaves Germany for Cuba on the ill-fated 'St. Louis'.
