What are you doing for your H for Father's Day? H's gift was so wonderful and thoughtful I don't know how I can find something just as thoughtful. My one idea is Hs favorite newborn photo of E in a frame saying Daddy's Girl. I don't know what else to get or ways to really celebrate how great of a dad he is. If you have any suggestions I'd love to know. I'd also love to hear what your plans are for the day or ideas for what you have done in the past.

Last year I got H the children's book Papa Get Me the Moon and traced DS's hand on the inside cover to remember how tiny he was on H's first Father's Day. I might frame a picture of both kids for his desk at work this year. Our plans are heavily influenced by our kids' grandparents since they all live nearby. So we have to figure out what they all want to do first and then find time to celebrate my H. But in whatever free time we have that day, we will do something fun together as a family.

We do family things for Mother's/Father's Day. Mh wants to take ds fishing with his Grandpop. I'm sure taking a two year old fishing will go well. 😬
I try to do some kid art as well. For his first Father's Day he got a handprint fish that said "I'm hooked on you". I've got to come up with something that incorporates both kid's hand/foot prints in one piece this year. Hmmmmm. Off to Pinterest!

I have no idea what to get. I was going to get a grill but my parents got that for him for graduation. I want to do something crafty but I think I'll appreciate it more than he will.

I like the idea of doing something crafty. I'll have to look into that. Maybe a hand and foot print framed.

We usually do family activities for father's/mother's day. DH isn't big on sentimental stuff so the only item he usually gets from the kids is what they make at daycare.
Last year they took 3 pics of DD holding the letters D A and D. They framed it. It was cute.
Also, our wedding anniversary (7 yrs) typically falls on Father's day, or father's day weekend. This year we'll get a sitter for the kids and go out to dinner together to sorta celebrate both.

My husband is an audio engineer and I found this lady on etsy that makes art out of sound waves so I got him an art piece of DD1 saying "I love Dad" and the baby bablling. I'm super excited to give it to him.

I was planning on getting "your baby's first word will be Dada" by Jimmy Fallon and putting a handprint on the inside cover.
As far as day of activities we will be in vacation in Seattle and he wants to do the Starbucks Roaster tour and see Bruce Lee's grave so that is what we will be doing.

You'll have a lot of fun here, if you never been. Great choices of things to see!

I've done a beer/snack basket every year. Fill with different craft beer and some snacks/spices for grilling, etc.

The only "crafty" thing my H will get is whatever comes home from day care.
Last year, I got him a crab steam pot.
This year, I'm getting him a rowing machine. On the surface, it doesn't seem to celebrate him as a dad. However, he has just recently mentioned that he simply can't find time to work out. I, on the other hand, have the luxury of working right next to my gym and the ability to go a few days a week. Since he does day care chauffeuring, he can't really do the same. So, indirectly, his sacrifice of time as a dad is what led to the idea of doing this as a gift.
Father's day weekend I will make no plans, and we'll just do whatever he wants. Oh, and have my dad over for dinner one of the days.

Woo! Daycare provider messaged me saying they're making Father's Day gifts. Score! One down...maybe I'll be able to tack Will's name onto it.

I made him a mug on shutterfly with pics of him and the kids. He also needs new pants, so I'll probably get him some.
