We have a pretty long list right now and we won't share our choice IRL anyways so I'll definitely be asking you guys for input along the way. Quick question. Is it tacky to name a baby born in June June? We'll do a family name for the middle name but haven't decided what it will be yet. I don’t think it’s that big a deal. But DH vetoed my middle name pick of Mae cause she’ll be born in May, so I know it’s contentious.

I just want to pull a name out of a hat and go with it.
poof part of it
And every name that I think about, there's at least one friend or family member with a young kid named that.
DH and I are suppose to go over my list this weekend. We'll see what happens.

Ugh. We've barely thought of names. Although Sunday, DH requested that we use his mom's middle name for the baby's middle name. I'm ok with that. It's Kay.
The only name I've seriously considered so far is Emily.
However once we decide we won't be telling anyone IRL before birth even though we did last time.

It’s common here to have 2 middle names, and DD does, so these guys will, too. Let me tell you, coming up with 6 names has not been fun.
We’re planning on using all family names for the middle names, and I *think* are set on the first names. We are pretty set on Henri as one of the them, and as stupid as this sounds if Will and Kate name their kid Henry like a few days before the twins come (I’ll most likely give birth the month she is due), it may change things. DNW our kid share a royal baby name that 1,000 other kids will have this year.

jaidit, I can't imagine having to come up with 4 names let alone 6. With our son we went in pretty sure what his name was but hadn't totally IRL committed. When people ask right now I say 'We aren't set but I think she's going to be Lydia.' Then I just laugh when they ask about middle names because still no clue.

Just told DH I’m now second guessing our top 2 choices. I literally don’t know what we will name this baby.

Our top two choices are Oliver and Elliot (Elliott?). Middle name is my maiden name. MN & LN are both single syllable. It took us until a couple weeks before delivery to name DS (Gabriel).
ETA: Michael and Andrew are also in the running. Michael and Andrieu are family names but I don’t think I want that spelling for Andrieu.

I think we're pretty set on Daniel for a boy. I want Levi or Jethro for the middle name, but H isn't a fan. Possibly could use my maiden name.
The girl name is harder. My list (H hasn't looked and probably will just pull from mine or last minute search the internet) is: Abigail Esther Alexis
I like Abigail the best, but we have a cat named that so it makes me hesitant. Esther is great, but is lacking in the nickname category. Alexis is super cute, but we have a trend of Biblical names and may prefer to stick to that.

sammichcat, the cat and baby having the same name is a little strange. Other Biblical names: Hannah, Lydia, Naomi, Leah?

She will be Ruby Jean Last Name.
Ruby is the only girl name we can agree on, and Jean is my grandma's middle name. DS is named after my H's side of the family, so it's nice to represent mine this time.

I *think* we have agreed on a girls name. Rebecca Ann Last Name. DH is suggesting spelling it Rebekah instead of Rebecca (it’s the biblical spelling). I like the name, not sure on the spelling. DD is Tab.itha so we didn’t ever discuss spelling for her-this is new territory for me LOL. Thoughts? Rebekah vs Rebecca?

I always prefer traditional spellings, coming from someone whose name was always misspelled. However it's not too different that I would t veto it completely.

If you have a strong inclination toward Rebekah for religious reasons/otherwise, I don't think you'll be doing your daughter a disservice, especially since it's a true historical spelling of the name. I do think anyone who hears her name will automatically spell it as Rebecca, though, so if you think that will really bother you, it's something to consider.

This is why I’m leaning towards Rebecca-it’s how I instinctively spell it. My name is short (only 4 letters) and people still find a way to spell it wrong so I’m hoping to nip that in the bud before it even starts.

I personally like it for religious reasons and for the way the Biblical spelling looks. We chose a Biblically, but less commonly, spelled middle name for one of our sons too. And I agree with budders, it's an actual way to spell it, however people will be more likely to misspell it since I more commonly see it as Rebecca. My last name was a very common correctly spelled word, but as a last name it is usually spelled incorrectly/differently and people ALWAYS assumed it was the incorrect spelling.

So we thought of a new name. I’ve heard it before because i worked with someone with the name and I’ve always liked it but...my neighbor like 3-4 houses down has a daughter with the same name so not sure if that’s too weird or not. We are only acquaintances but we do know each other.
Name is Collins.

All these names are so fun! We are having a hard time because we already have the two boys and used our favorites for them. I liked a bunch of names on a list of male soap opera characters, which felt a little silly.
I love Maeve, Tess or Tessa, Ada, June, Leora, Etta for girls.

We put aside thinking of names for a bit because H and I have such different preferences but now that it’s March, I’m like “oh crap, this kid could come early so we should really should have a short list in the next few weeks”
