Hey ladies!
This is a complete and unexpected surprise, but it looks like I have an October baby on the way. By conception date, because we only had sex one time and thought we were being cautious, EDD is 10/13/18.
I finally got health insurance in January and spent the month researching doctors and making appointments to get back on track to being healthy (and apparently made a baby too). I had a scheduled Pap smear and physical wellness exam for this next Friday and was planning to discuss birth control. I've been avoiding sex because I didn't want to get pregnant and my relationship has been far from perfect. Well, as my doctor appointment approached, I realized that since my period hasn't come yet, it could interfere with my pap exam. I sat down trying to remember exact dates of my period and was struggling. Then I realized that I probably should have started last week but it was nowhere insight. I made a mad dash to the store to grab some blue tests and first one had light line but definitely a line. I took it as maybe an evap line (which I've gotten before) and chugged water to take another 20 mins later. This one I really couldn't see much of anything and another one seemed inconclusive. So later in the evening I grabbed two more tests, one pink dye and one digital and got two very clear positives. I freaked TF out! Did a double check Friday morning and same results.
So basically I'm trying to make it all work out financially and with my SO. We also had a very difficult pregnancy with DD (surprise baby too but we're not careful, just wasted). She is my precocious July 15 baby. I bled through the pregnancy and had a few complications. I also had a prior loss in Dec 2010 with my ex H.
Even though this wasn't planned, it will be nice to be able to work through some of the rough PgAL brain stuff with you guys.
I'm hoping to get in with a Obgyn or CNM soon to make sure all is good. In positive news, no bleeding yet which I had from the start with DD.
Thanks for listening to my ramble. I'm still processing it all.
