I have this coming up summer off and both of my boys will be in part time care so I wanted to start a hobby. I love the things people make with their cricut/cameos, I just have no idea where to start.
What do you have? Why do you like it? What don't you like about it? Which one is easier to use?
Also, can you share your crafts with me?
Thanks :-)

I have a silhouette portrait (smaller than the cameo). I don't have experience with cricut, but from what I've heard silhouette's software is better if you want to make your own designs. I can make designs really quickly in it, anyway. I haven't done all that much with it, but I did make some cutouts to stick to the walls and ceilings in the boy's room.

I'm late to this, but I have a Cricut Air. I have no issues with their software and the research I did before purchasing led me to Cricut for superior cutting (precision and more materials available for cutting).
I've made some tshirts (iron on vinyl) and onsies, home decor signs (wood and outdoor vinyl), etched glasses (used contact paper as a stencil and Amrour Etch), made some cards and banners out of paper... The possibilities are endless.
I do recommend starting small, if you've never done anything with wood don't try to make a huge sign. It will frustrate you.

I have a Silhouette Cameo and I love it. I have made tons of things with it: wall decals, mugs, stencils, planner stickers, signs, cards.
