They forecasted 10-14 inches of snow today, so school/work were cancelled. WOOT!
I just shoveled half the driveway and we're sitting at about 6 inches.
Looks like we're getting another 2-4 tomorrow.
Yay winter!

We're still waiting for DH's car to be fixed. At least the part has been ordered. I can't wait to get my car back from DH.

I am frustrated. I had have joint pain since last Saturday. A few years ago I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis so I assume it was just that b/c Saturday & Sunday the pain was only in my hands and wrist. That is fairly common for me. But Monday I woke up with the joints in my hands so swollen I couldn't get my rings on and the pain had spread to other joints (shoulders, knees, ankles). I woke up the same way Tuesday, so I made an appointment with the doctor. I saw what had to be one of the worst NP's in their practice. She just kept looking at me like I was crazy and she was very dismissive. She did request bunch of blood work including an arthritis panel. Both my mom, sister and several other family members have Rheumatoid Arthritis so that is a concern of mine. However, I asked that if it was not caused by that what else could it be. She responded with "probably the virus you had last week and it just has to run its course."
So yesterday they call me with the results of the blood tests and they were negative. Now, just for back story both my mom and sister had several negative blood tests for RA and it wasn't until they saw a specialist actually examined them, did they get diagnosed. So I asked for a referral to the practice they go to. The doctor put through the referral, but then stated that because the blood tests were negative they probably won't accept me and that if I don't hear anything from the office within 2 weeks to call them. I am really hoping they will at least call so I can explain the family history before they flat out deny me. The swelling and pain seem to be better this morning but still not entirely gone. Maybe it's not RA but something is not right.
Sorry for the rant. I am just frustrated with being in pain, not knowing what is wrong and being treated like a crazy person by someone I am supposed to trust with my health.

In other news, I called our internet/phone company b/c they raised our bill by $5 and our service has been sucking lately. The guy I talked to was able to drop our bill by $40 a month and increase the speed of our internet. WooHoo! I hate calling to complain about things, but I guess sometimes it pays off.
