This is my last infant check-in. I'm feeling some feels.
Age: 1 year minus 3 days
Milestones: He's walking, he's trying to talk, he's into everything... He's also consistently STTN!
Challenges: Nothing really. He's been awesome.
Funny/Cute Stories: We went out to eat last night and he begged for everything on my plate (a wrap and sweet potato fries). Then, he grabbed the plate and face-planted in my fries LOL He was so happy and smiley about it, too.
How are you? Wrapping my head around having a 1YO! He's just the sweetest boy and makes me smile every day. I think about his birth a lot and all the things that suddenly happened... He's lucky he's alive. And I thank those NICU nurses and doctors every day for all they did for our family. There's no way I can repay those people for saving his life. So... I'm emotional to say the least LOL
Anything else? We're having his party on Saturday and I can't wait to celebrate his first year of life with our family and closet friends. They really stuck by us and helped us so much when he was in the NICU. A lot of that time frame is a blur, but those folks that helped us stand out like shining lights. Including you guys. I remember dealing with his NICU situation and how scared I was. This group got me through some really hard times. Thank you.
