Hope y'all don't mind me starting this, I feel like I haven't been the best contributor lately! How far along are you? 29 weeks How big is baby? Pineapple, now that seems more like a baby's actual size Any appointments this week? No, nothing till next week How are you feeling? Eh same complaints and gripes for the most part. I don't expect it to get any easier. Baby girl is definitely moving alot more and kicking stronger. Vents/questions/concerns: Starting to get a little overwhelmed thinking of managing a newborn again with a toddler who has not been easy lately. Damn its like she hit 2.5 years old and all hell broke loose, lol. Not looking forward to the age of 3, I hear its worse than 2! QOTW: Favorite actual and wish list vacation spots? I would say the beach in RI, MH's family has a house so we spend alot of time there in the summer. My wish list vacation spots would include Tahiti, Bora Bora or Italy. I could go on and on with that list

Thanks for posting jt2378! How far along are you? 29 weeks tomorrow How big is baby? The size of Gizmo. So cute! Any appointments this week? Next appt is a week from today. How are you feeling? Well, I've given a self diagnosis of SPD - Symphysis Pubis Disfuction. Basically my pelvic floor is stretching and causing a ridiculous amount of pain, particularly at the end of the day. It hurts to sit, walk, bend, really anything at this point. I'm definitely talking to my doctor about it when I see her because I can't go another 10 weeks with this pain. Vents/questions/concerns: Like you jt2378, I'm getting scared about having a newborn and a toddler. I have two older stepdaughters, but we only have them half the time and since they were older when my daughter came along, it didn't really change much with them. My daughter is so attached to me and I'm worried about how she's going to react and feel about a new baby taking all of my time. Especially worried about right after birth and not being able to hold her or pick her up for several weeks. I broke down the other night and told MH that I think we made a mistake. I know I'll feel differently once baby boy is here and we get into our routine, but it's stressing me out a lot for the time being. QOTW: Favorite actual and wish list vacation spots? Fav actual vacay spot is probably Grand Cayman. It's so beautiful and peaceful there! I have a huge wish list for places I want to go, but the top ones are a European trip (like 4-6 weeks worth of making our way through Europe), Bora Bora, Virgin Islands, and Tahiti.

jt2378, mrshall1027, I'm with you guys. The thought of a newborn & a toddler is frightening, especially when I think of how I won't be able to give as much attention to the toddler anymore. I'm afraid how he'll react to having to "share" mommy & daddy now. Ugh, I dunno. I have so many feels

mrshall1027 I had SPD with both of my pregnancies and I know how awful it is. Even seeing the chiro didn't help relieve the pain in my past pregnancies. To manage I did my best to move around a lot, sat on a donut pillow/boppy, and even iced my vagine towards the end of my pregnancy with DS2. This baby has been breech/l & transverse which is notably more comfortable and I prefer it since we have a RCS anyways. I hope you are able to have some level of comfort for the rest of the pregnancy!

29+1
Pineapple
No appts for 3 weeks and after that we go to bi-weekly 😱
I'm feeling pretty good still. Some days I over do it and pay for it the next day but there's no 'taking it easy' since I'm a SAH of two toddlers.
Vents- none really. We still need to get the nursery ready but that's pending MH's cooperation. We are also shopping for a minivan and if we don't get one we like/in our budget we will be going new car seat shopping because we will have to fit 3 car seats across in my SUV. We were supposed to go to a wedding in VA in July and my doctor won't let me travel which I'm a little bummed about but I also feel some sense of relief because we won't have to figure out the logistics of cross country travel while I'm 33 weeks pregnant.
GTKY- favorite travel spots are SoCal or Mexico, I love the beach! Dream vacation stateside would be to Napa, overseas I would love to go to Greece.

How far along are you? 28+6
How big is baby? Barbie convertible (tomorrow)
Any appointments this week? OB on Friday.
How are you feeling? Nothing new to bitch about report. Just the same super fun stuff that comes with 3rd tri.
Vents/questions/concerns: I've had a pretty sick toddler these last few weeks, so I has a tired. I'm just ready for this deployment to be over with so I can be a pregnant and hand over the hard stuff to my H for a few weeks.
QOTW: Favorite actual and wish list vacation spots? Actual? We love Colorado. Wish list? Ireland or Scotland.

La@jt2378 dies, I'm sorry for having been rather MIA for the last couple of weeks and only having posted randomly.. I'm so behind on things here and there, esp in posting myself .. haven't been able to get behind the pc and while I can read on tapatalk, typing on my phone just frustrates the heck out of me with my English and Dutch spellcheck/autocorrect going nuts on me LOL. Also, online drama and real life crisis crap doesn't go together well and it's made me feel really sad and out of place for a while. Also, apologies for the lenght of my check-in (and for the repeat if you already read it in one of the other check-ins).. just felt the need to properly update on all that's happened these past couple of weeks. How far along are you? 29w5d How big is baby? uh not a clue tbh. Guess I need to check my ovia app more often lol. Any appointments this week?
Not this week but lemme update on my appointments from 2 weeks ago.. Cardiologist appointment went well enough. Considering the fact I started my maternity leave 6 weeks earlier then expected (see next bit), we decided not to start meds right now after all. Being able to rest whenever I need to will hopefully be enough to keep my ticker under control. MFM appointment and follow up A/S were next. The scan showed that the VSD seen on our A/S had closed up completely so that was great news. They also checked my placenta placement for placenta accreta due to Asherman's Syndrome. There is one area which concerns them, so we've discussed options and plans of action. So far giving birth naturally is still on the table, a surgical team will be on stand-by and if the placenta isn't out completely within 30min after birth I'll go in for surgery. We also discussed that in case do need to go back on heart meds, baby&I will stay in the hospital for an extra 48h after birth for extra monitoring (for baby). Quite a lot to take in all at once but I'm glad they're so pro-active and rather know all the possible options and scenarios beforehand. Next appointment is my MFM appointment June 19. Prolly have to go in next week or the week after for my anti-D shot (I'm rhesus negative, baby is rhesus positive) since I'll be 30 weeks this Thursday but I haven't heard anything about that yet. Guess I best give them a call... How are you feeling? My emotions have been all over the place recently, there's just to much going on in my life at the moment (see 'other word vomit to share' lol). Physically I've been better ;-) but that's to be expected after breaking my ankle two weeks ago. Pregnancy symptom wise things are pretty calm atm. I do have increased issues with my hips being ohso painful especially while sleeping, need to change position every hour to stay somewhat comfortable (which isn't an easy feat with my broken ankle currently! I so badly wish I could take a walk on occasion but am stuck to either the bed or the wheelchair lol). One thing that freaks me out on occasion are the bouts of BH. Anyone knows a good contraction timer that actually saves your data when you close the app? My MFM asked me to time them and I could do pen&paper but ahh an app seems easier? Vents/questions/concerns:It's been interestig times here at casa muscari. On the 19th of May I learned my contract would be terminated on June 1, completely out of the blue. Yay for extended maternity leave but not so yay for not having a job afterwards. I'm fighting my termination and handed my case over to the union, so far it's been a little ugly and I honestly have no idea how/when it'll end. But I got other things to worry about.. as on the 24th I took a nasty fall and broke my right ankle. Spent half the day at the ER then was admitted to L&D due to contractions. Luckily baby (and my ute/cervix, bw and fluids) checked out okay! Will be in the cast for 6-7 weeks total and am not allowed to put any weight on it for several weeks URGH! Crutches while 29wk pg is an interesting combo esp paired with my heart issues. Am basically on some sort of modified bedrest as I gotte keep my foot up or it will swell like an elephants foot and any overexertion gives me runs of braxton hicks and/or heart issues. Fun times! I sleep in the livingroom and got a wheelchair, and with furniture rearranged a little I can move around freely - MH even made a ramp for me to go outside into the garden no my own as I was going crazy being cooped up. I do struggle with feeling useless and frustrated that all of our/my plans for baby prep have been put on the backburner and I won't be out of my cast until 5weeks before my due date.. Somehow things will work out right? Also, do you usually get an update on how big baby is when you have an U/S? During our follow up A/S on the 23th the dr mentioned baby was 1.2kg/2lbs10oz which seems to be a little on the big side for 27w5d? This was the very first time they even mentioned babies size/weight, and he didn't say anything else so I guess tis all fine but still. I guess I'm a little worried that now that I am on partial bedrest and am sitting/laying down all day long baby will only get bigger and bigger LOL.

jt2378, thanks for getting this started! mrshall1027, Had to look up the Dutch translation for Symphysis Pubis Disfuction but ugh yes that is really crappy! I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Hope the dr knows of something that offers some relief! unicornsparkles, I'm sorry you aren't able to go to that wedding, though I can def understand the sense of relief that you don't need to travel so far while 33 wks pregnant. Good luck with car shopping, hope you can find someone that ticks all the boxes and fits the budget! ketchup, aww I hope your toddler will be feeling better soon! How long till YH comes back home?

How far along are you? The big 3-0 😱
How big is baby? A motorcycle helmet
Any appointments this week? OB tomorrow morning
How are you feeling? Uncomfortable, tired, crappy
Vents/questions/concerns: I wish I could wear whatever the hell I wanted to at work. Most of my nice maternity clothes are becoming uncomfortable, but I don't want to spend money on new clothes that i'll only wear for a few more weeks anyway.
QOTW: Favorite actual and wish list vacation spots? Actual: the resort we stayed at on our honeymoon in Mexico. Wish list: Hawaii

How far along are you? 29+1
How big is baby? Double pineapples
Any appointments this week? Not until next week
How are you feeling? Large and really out of breath. My skin is really tight and there's not much rest with two babies moving all the time.
Vents/questions/concerns: Just the usual concerns about getting work done before I need to wind down. And thinking about everything that needs to get done, plus the uncertainty of how far I'll go, and 3u3 is overwhelming.
QOTW: Favorite actual and wish list vacation spots? Actual: Hawaii Wish list: Tahiti

How far along are you? 30+5
How big is baby? I think it was a motocross helmet this week?
Any appointments this week? Next Tuesday for my regular check up
How are you feeling? Nausea, heartburn, ligament/muscle stretching, some braxton hicks, peeing constantly, and no lung space. 3rd Tri is the best, right?!?
Vents/questions/concerns: I too am not looking forward to balancing a newborn and a toddler. Molly is the most easy going little kid, but I don't know how she is going to react to not being the center of attention all the time. We have decided to pull her from her daycare and my cousin, an elementary ed major, is going to babysit her for the summer and until she goes back to school. We are hopeful that this will help with a transition from being in daycare to being home with me and the baby.
QOTW: We love to go up to the white mountains and to the beaches of Maine. Mostly for weekend or short getaways since they are both only a couple of hours from us. I would love to go to Hungary and Austria and all the European places. H would like to stay home and never go anywhere other than Maine and NH.

I don't know how you did it through two pregnancies! This guy, last we checked, is also transverse, but he's also measuring really big and I'm pretty petite, so I don't know if his position really matters at this point just because of how big he is. I moved my OB appt from Monday to tomorrow and hopefully she will be able to figure out if it's SPD or something else.

muscari, I'm so sorry you're having to go through all of this stuff. I hope your heart stays healthy and happy and you can stay off the meds and your placenta issue doesn't require surgery after birth. Try to rest and stay positive.

I hope your OB can offer some help, the most mine could do was rec me a maternity support belt and send me to the chiropractor. MH reminded me recently that I sat on ice packs the last 2 months of my last pregnancy. I'm not sure if this would help you or if you're able to, but I've been doing a lot of swimming and water aerobics this pregnancy and it helps me to get the baby to move if she does get in a position that makes my SPD flare up. I'm also 5'8 so I may have a bit more room for the baby to move around 😕 My boys were big, had big old heads and we're head down most of my pregnancies which is what caused my SPD. You have my sympathy 😩

How far along are you? 29 weeks
How big is baby? Pineapple,
Any appointments this week? Tomorrow I have an appointment with the midwife. It's our first time meeting her but I'm hoping she will be who we are with from now on. I'm supposed to have my glucose test but they couldn't tell me for sure. I'm the first appointment so I just won't eat anything in the morning.
How are you feeling? Baby is kicking like a champ which is reassuring but sometimes a bit painful. My hips and joints are really hurting at night so my sleeping is sucking. My feet have been much better since I'm not working and am either in socks or my tennis shoes all the time. Acid reflux is still bad. Overall though, I can't complain.
Vents/questions/concerns: I'm just freaking out about the nursery again. We really need to get on it. It's my plan to have the big furniture out and get it painted next week. I just hope we can get it done.
Apparently DH didn't know he'd be staying in the hospital with me. I told him, he said no he's coming home, I explained he wouldn't be if I was in labor, as we live an hour away. He looked so shocked and scared it was almost comical. He's so clueless.
QOTW: Favorite actual and wish list vacation spots? My favorite vacation spot is Hawaii. My wish list vacation spots are Australia and Switzerland.

king26, I bet he will change his mind when the time comes. When we had Molly MH wouldn't take his eyes off of her and the only times he let go of her was when she was eating. If I hadn't been breastfeeding I'm not sure I would have been allowed to hold her at all those first few days.

How far along are you? 29 + 1
How big is baby? Hawaiian Pineapple
Any appointments this week? We had a growth scan yesterday! Baby is looking good and is measuring on track at 3.4lbs!
How are you feeling? Tired!!! Plus I have that pain under my rib (left side) and it kills!!
Vents/questions/concerns: My toddler is really being a toddler lately and I noticed my patience with him is thin. Plus being tired and not sleeping isn't helping. I feel bad because I find myself yelling more, but he is just driving me nuts some days!!
QOTW: Favorite actual and wish list vacation spots? Actual: Hawaii (been 5 times in the last 8 years) and cruises. We went on royal Caribbean last year and it was so much fun! It was my 3rd cruise, DH and DS1 first. We went with my parents, my brother and his 2 friends. We are actually planning our next one for the fall of next year (after baby2 gets his first year vaccines). My wish vacation spot at the moment is the Maldives! I told DH when we hit our 5 year anniversary we are going! Which would probably happen when we hit our 7th by the time we plan it! 3.5 years to go!

cwbh928 My toddler is also really being a toddler lately, so you have my sympathies. Last night he pushed his dinner plate away and said "don't want it" and so did so many other toddlerish things as well. So worried and interested to see how he reacts when the baby is actually here. How far along are you? 29 w (due date has seemed so far away and now it seems so close!!!! Ack!) How big is baby? Don't know but some of his kicks hurt now. Any appointments this week? Glucose test and routine 4 wk OB appt this afternoon. How are you feeling? I had an awful stomach bug this weekend. Without going into TMI, I lost 5 lbs. I just started eating more normally and now I have my glucose 1hr test this afternoon which may send me back into a spiral of indigestion, but I hope not. I'm so worried I'm going to fail. Vents/questions/concerns: I called the drs office about my stomach bug earlier in the week and they said it might artificially inflate my glucose test, causing a false positive. I really hope that's not true. I'm going to ask them again today before I swallow the stuff, although I'd rather get a false positive than a false negative and have it without knowing it. I think I'm still dehydrated. The past few days, I've woken up to a painful Braxton Hicks contraction (which I know isn't supposed to be painful). Is that happening to anyone else? Going to ask the Dr about that too. Vacations: Visited Sedona, Arizona previously and loved it so much. I've always wanted to go to Ireland and always want to go to any beach.

How far along are you? 29 weeks (and 1 day)
How big is baby? A Barbie convertible?! Haha!
Any appointments this week? Next week
How are you feeling? So so achy. Not sleeping great.
Vents/questions/concerns: DS (2.5) broke his foot on Tuesday, and is in a cast for the next month. Helping him get around is not helping my soreness! He is still unsure about walking with the cast and has been asking me to carry him a lot. Plus we're juggling a bunch of other appointments re: his developmental delays. Poor kid is stressing me out!
QOTW: Favorite actual and wish list vacation spots? We haven't traveled to too many places, just bc DH being military means we tend to go see family when he actually has time off. We really enjoy Chicago and loved Lake Tahoe (went once). Wish list- gosh all over. I've never been out of the United States!

Wompppp Good to know. Can't believe how close due dates are getting and that this is normal now! Yikes. I usually just have one at a time and then it goes away when I get up or use the restroom. I chugged water last night and it didn't happen so I think I was dehydrated too.
