Have any of you ever paid to have a bathroom roughed in (just the rough in, not a finished bathroom) in a basement? Would you mind sharing how much you paid? We're not sure if we'd like to do a full bath or half bath yet so the price of either would be helpful.
I know the prices of these things can be regional and can vary quite a bit based on specifics but I'm just looking for general anecdotes. We're not ready to actually talk to contractors and get estimates yet.
Thanks in advance.

Just had this chat with neighbors. They did the work themselves and gave us a do it yourself estimate between 8k-10k. I said there was no chance our basement bath would be a home project so they told us to expect between 10k - 14k.
**** Ignore me. Misread your post. Our rough in basement bathroom was completed by our builders so I have no idea about the cost.

We are in the middle of a basement remodel right now. We paid between $800-$900 for a plumber to come in and lay the pipes in for toilet, shower, sink and drain. We broke up the concrete ourselves though, in preparation for him.
ETA: And then poured the concrete ourselves after the plumber was done.

We did a combination of professional and DIY on the 3/4 basement bath last summer. We broke up the concrete, paid $1200ish for all of the plumbing (though that included replacing some pipes that flowed from the upstairs bath), and did electrical and walls ourselves.
