I’m working on a mandala for a friend. It’s not my favorite but, meh. I also made this for my oncology rehab trainers. They would have us do cardio or strength on a machine, then walk two laps, so “two more laps” is something they say a lot. I’ve been pretty unmotivated lately. So much sickness going around and I just want to do nothing all the time.

I finished a quick scarf and for a friend who did me a favor.
I finished knitting, but need to block a gift for another friend.
I balled up the first big skein of yarn to get started on the first of the throws for Christmas next year, but the pattern requires a provisional cast on and that cannot be done in bits and pieces which means I have to find a good chunk of time with no kids around.

LO and I are part way through another sewing project for a pretend play item, but we've been sick for a while so progress has stalled.

I think I've settled on the design for my Olympics project, and just in time. I kept trying to add symbolism to my quilt idea, and finally came back to I just need to simplify and get it started. Here's my sticky note sketch: This is what I do in work meetings when I don't have my phone. But basically the center panel is intended to be an appliqued vase of flowers, with a pieced frame and pieced tulips in the four corners. I want it to be about 18 by 24 and have a bunch of my favorite flowers. We'll see how far I get!

I made a swimsuit and a dress for me. Also finished baby#3's coming home outfit along with matching shirts for his big brothers (which they haven't taken off). I also whipped up a sparkly flapper-dress-like shirt for my oldest to bribe him into letting me wash the other shirt that he won't take off.
My cousin will be delivering twins in a few days at just under 35 weeks so I'm going to make some preemie pants to mail off to her. Then I need to finish the fleece leggings that have been cut out and sitting on my table for months, and get started on the baby quilt.

Making progress on my Sophie’s Universe. I realized I made a mistake like 6 rounds ago and I’m so mad. I don’t think anyone but me will ever notice so I’m fudging now to make up for it rather than go back to fix, but I will forever know it’s there. PDQ the pic. My 4.5 year old included for scale 😍

Temperature afghans so far. Blue one is mine that I do one row a day based on the high temp, red is for Dd1's 1st year, and purple is for Dd2's first year. I'm currently o my doing about 6-7 rows a day since my hand has been cramping up with all the painting I've also been doing in our house. I also ran out of the navy blue tonight in the middle of doing todays row. Going to have to make a stop at the yarn store tomorrow after preschool pickup.

Just got back from visiting my parents in California and I brought a project to do with my mom on her new sewing machine. It’s a quilted pouch made with cotton and vinyl.

rainbowsockmonkey, I love those afghans. I have one in that chevron pattern that an aunt gave me, and I treasure it. Not as nice of a color scheme as yours though!

I am planning to make a 1930s era dress for a ladies' tea at the end of this month (last month we did 1920s). However, I am still waiting for my fabric and a pattern to arrive.

I felt well enough to finish one project yesterday: I bought H a new desk chair last year for his b-day in the summer, and he's been waiting on a cover for it ever since. He doesn't like the feel of the pleather on his skin, and appropriated my flannel quilt to cover it; I want my quilt back, so I made him this. No pattern since it's a big rectangle, just measured and figured out where it would need straps. My desk chair is modelling it, and making me realize I kinda need a new one, those arms.. And then DS and I did this: I'm including them because I'm pretty proud of my triceratops mother and child and baby stegosaurus. Less so of the t-rex and humans, but whatcha gonna do? Not a sculptor.

Progress made on my "Olympic" project! I abandoned my hope of doing hand applique; between DS and me being sick and H's job interview, and 9" of snow, that just isn't happening. So I'm doing fusible applique, and maybe some thread painting to finish it? Anyhow, here are some of the pieces laid out so I could get a rough idea of my first 3 flower types: I'm thinking the orange daisies might need more petals...maybe I can dig out another fabric. I also plan white jasmine, and maybe some purple/blue hydrangea. Or purple lilacs and blue forget me nots.

And a bit more: Spent my lunch laying out what I have; I'd intended to add some blue or purple flowers, but I don't think I need them. Might just make the vase blue and call it good. Nothing is ironed down yet, I'm just seeing if I have enough to make a good arrangement. I did decide that I need more leaves and stems.

And I picked up this old girl from FB marketplace for a steal. It’s a 1955 Singer 15-91. It’ll need some restoration, but she’ll be a great workhorse once she’s up and running.

Love that bag Dramaphile, lucky work friend! I did a couple small projects this weekend; bet you can spot my theme DS has a touching amount of faith in my ability to make anything, including Cosmoceratops and Amargasaurus, lol

Finally getting to work on things a bit again! I put together a wreath and I've been sewing dresses for my daughter, as her size makes it difficult to find well fitting clothes in stores.

I decided I needed to make a tiny hat/fascinator to go with my dress. I've never made one before, but my glue gun is at the ready.

I made these for Valentine’s Day for the boys. And this fabric is about to be made into a couple of pillow cases for a friend. I have a couple of shirts I want to make myself and one that I need to finish for me. It just need the cuffs and the bottom band. I think I’m going to pull the hood off and try to redo it too. It turned out a little funky for some reason.

Hey everyone! I haven’t been active since having DS in December, but hoping to jump back in to crafting now that he’s getting a little older. Have I finished his Snoopy birth record? Of course not. But I did finish these two small projects for friends: I really need to finish his birth record but I also have two more projects lined up - a small Little Women pattern for my best friend’s niece and a Harry Potter alphabet for DS’s room. I’m anxious to start those because I will be stitching on evenweave for the first time. I’ve watched a YouTube video so it seems simple enough, but if anyone has experience/suggestions, they are appreciated!

tincupchalice I also love that you know it’s a hyak! I love a fellow PABer. Are you in her fb groups? I just ordered a ton from this preorder. I took some pre orders from friends and I’m doing grand slams. I’m so excited!

I love that the gardening folk came over here and now the craft post is hopping! I’ll admit, I tried popping in more in the past but normally hang on GD so I kept forgetting to check in over here. Now that gardening has moved I have 2 reasons to check so I’m extra likely to check in over here too!

I got the camping panels and the blue stripe coordinate this round even though I really need to stop buying fabric! Pretty much my whole facebook feed is various pattern and fabric groups.
