I'm hoping she doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell. We need a strong Dem candidate regardless, but dear god, I'd actually prefer Rauner over that. Oh man. Not my area, so I haven’t seen much but this. Is she horrible? And its scary when you have to opt for Rauner as the better candidate. I’ve only seen a few Ives ads (I’m just north of Chicago). Lots and lots of Pritzer ads though.

The only Rauner ads I've seen down here is an anti-Pritzker ad, so that tells you who Rauner thinks is his competition. At least in the Central Part of the state.

When you look at Pritzker’s story it’s just kind of mind boggling that, rather than support an experienced candidate for governor he felt he was the best candidate for it. 🤷🏻♀️ Added: I see a lot of Pritzker ads, both for and against. And just saw an anti-Biss ad from J.B. but I think that’s the first.

Also she apparently was having a fundraiser in McHenry county and her original keynote speaker believes African Americans are “intellectually inferior to whites”. She’s pulled the speaker but I think that hiring him in the first place tells you plenty about her.

Last thing we need is anothe businessman coming in and messing more things up.

Hot tip, do not look at your 401k or mutual funds this morning. Whew. We happened to be doing a household budget discussion last night and took a peek out of curiosity... dc2london, I'm so sorry you are having to navigate house hunting in this market. That just sucks. Did your landlord ever offer to put you up in a 4-star hotel for the inconvenience of the basement flood plus showing the place?

His wife tried to tell us they're replacing the carpet in the whole house before we move out and we shut that right down.

Apparently Republican legislators who lost their Supreme Court appeal have decided their next course of action is to try to impeach the PA Supreme Court justices who said the law violated the PA Constitution. They've so thoroughly gerrymandered the state leg, should actually be pretty easy to impeach the justices. WTF is happening? This is not how the government works! If you can't win playing by the rules, change the rules

Holy shit. This is really damning. What's HRC's level of exposure here? Are campaigns expected to dig into the source of private campaign donations?

Mine was a peripheral question Gotcha! It made me think though. I donated $15 to iron stash the other day. There is no way someone could check every single person donating to them and where their money is coming from, right? That seems like an insane amount of work.

Maybe the dude who gave Trump's campaign $500 runs a meth lab. Would I blame Trump for that? No

I have to think of it in percentage, though. If I think about the actual amount of money, I feel sick.

Re: ADA reform. There's a department store in my general area where the call button for the elevator is not only 4 feet off the ground, it's behind a water fountain. There's no way a wheelchair bound individual could reasonably use the button. I've notified management, and was shrugged off. I've spoken with county and state level officials and they were told the store is grandfathered in. Making it harder for differently abled people to buy some fucking hand towels is a new level of deplorable. There is really no such thing as a building that is grandfathered from complying w/ ADA. Every building has to make a reasonable effort to comply, which is obviously open to interpretation, and there is some leeway to prioritize compliance, but no building is exempt. I would think that removing a water fountain would be considered readily achievable and that access to the elevator would rank relatively high on the priority list. The building management may not have taken your complaint seriously because they don't expect you will be filing a lawsuit as an able-bodied person, since preventing lawsuits is the biggest motivating factor in ADA compliance. I think you can file a complaint with the DOJ.

Paul Ryan is so full of it. He's claiming Democrats voted against releasing the Nunes.mehmo but not against releasing theirs. Yeah but that's bc they HAD to release theirs after you released yours. Chronology matters, broseph
