Oh, enchanted, I'm so sorry. That's a lot for an adult to go through, let alone a 2.25YO. I hope she feels better soon, too. The flu is so bad this year. FX it's just a virus.

Awww, poor little thing, enchanted. DS1 was given Ativan when he had meningitis, and it was the same- he was so loopy and I couldn't even appreciate it! I know what you mean about the flu fear. When DS1 had it, H and I took turns watching him for respiratory distress the first few nights.

DS2 (3) had his yearly check-up, and the doctor was impressed with his speech (he was behind last year). He was talking to her, said "ring, ring," and pulled an imaginary phone out of his pocket. He said, "grandpa, I can't talk right now. I busy. I with Dr. V." Then a second later, he said "ring, ring" again, sighed loudly and said, "grandma? I know. I just talk to grandpa. I tell him I busy right now, I with Dr. V." The pedi and I were about rolling on the floor laughing at him.
The night terrors are in full swing (DS1 did the same at this age). Last night was rough- he was up crying about spiders crawling out of the pillows from about 1-5 AM. Of course his security object is a pillow. He was so convinced I was getting paranoid. We're both exhausted today.

enchanted sorry to read your DD’s injury, sounds just awful all around. Hope she bounces back fast! Age: 3 in March Milestones: Challenges: his behavior... I take DS to several classes throughout the week and he is uncooperative. He does not share well with others and I don’t know how to discipline him anymore. When things don’t go his way he will say “I’m going to push him down”... he doesn’t, but just his aggressive language is troublesome. He also frequently likes to call me and anyone else stupid if we do something he doesn’t like. All the things that used to work are laughable now as he gets older. We have really good days, but the bad days are bad. He does a lot better behavior wise when I’m not in the room. Trying to get him preschool ready and I have some real behavioral concerns. Funny/cute stories: How are you? I think my patience is thin. My H says I need a break and to go stay in a hotel by myself for a night, may take him up on that soon here. Anything else? I word vomited in my moms class today and mentioned my loss and new pregnancy... hope I didn’t make anyone uncomfortable it just kind of came out. Trying not to obsess over what I said and give myself a break for just being human about my experience. Everyone was very nice about it. QOTW: Are you hoping the ground hog does or doesn't see its shadow? I’m ready for spring, January felt like such a LONG month. I hope he does not see his shadow.
