Oh, good call on the extra long phone cord, mattsgirl2004! I forgot about the horrible plug positions until your post. Adding to my “to buy” list now.

*H looking up push(I hate that term!) presents (without prompting)* What the fuck is postpartum & why do you need a basket? This is our third kid. I swear he was smarter the previous two.

I feel like I should have read this thread sooner. I don't have a bag packed. There are like 3 things in baby's bag. I keep thinking of things I need to Amazon prime myself but now I'm like oh no what if I am headed into labor right now anyway and none of this matters?! I am likely getting myself worked up for nothing but still.

I am so glad for this thread. I have my bag in my room and 3 nursing/sleep shirts in it... and that’s it. I need to get on it. Now when people ask how far along I am and I say it’s one month until my due date, they all say “eek could be any time now”. And then I freak out a little on the inside.

Yeaaaa at this point I need to kick it into high gear and get things packed for real. I was just kind of throwing random crap in a bag this morning. Gonna add this to my must do list for first thing tomorrow. Or maybe tonight when I get home.

I have a pile of stuff. I ordered a spare 10’ phone charger.
The pile consists of flip flops, a nursing tank, and the nursing racer back sleep bra I bought to labor in.

Maybe I’ll just pack a bag big enough to fit my boppy. I used multiple hospital pillows the last two times, but it might be nice...

My pile consists of a random assortment of cosmetics that I had doubles of and the book "The Night You Were Born" to have visitors sign. Not sure if we'll actually do it, but it's in my pile. Next week is my baby shower so I'll wash baby clothes after that and also we'll go use our completion coupon at target and get carseat and whatever else so then I'll feel more than 5% prepared.

So when is everyone hoping to have bags packed and car seats installed? I'll just be 34 weeks on Wednesday so I feel it's still too early but I just want go get clothes washed and get it done.

I'm waiting to install the car seat base because I think it'll be annoying with my two other car seats, and I feel comfortable doing a seat belt install, but I def want the majority of my hospital bag and MH's to be all set! BECAUSE IF IT ISN'T OF COURSE I'LL NEED IT RIGHT

I'm planning to pack bags soon/any day now. Carseat we haven't even purchased and we're probably going to wait until the end of the month, so we can get all the other stuff we still need at the same time with the completion discount. I'll be around 35-36w. Clothes I would wash whenever, too.

My goal is to have hospital bags packed around 35/36 weeks. I'm hoping to be done completely at that point and only need to worry about day to day stuff and not anything delivery related.

Yeah I think 36 weeks will be my goal too. I was going to wait to wash all the clothes from DD1 when I stop working a little past 37 weeks but I'll see. I'll at least wash the coming home outfit and a few sleepers before that to pack the bag and have ready in case she comes early.

I was going to wait to wash all the clothes from DD1. I need to do this also, but also need to get DD1 a new dresser, since I plan on stealing hers for this baby. It still has the changing table attached to the top, so much easier to just switch her to a new one since I need to buy a new one anyway.

I never actually packed a bag until I was given the ok to come in to L&D. That was pretty fucking dumb but it was kind of nice to have a “fun” task to do while laboring. Everything had been purchased/washed, it just wasn’t in a bag. I’ll probably pack for myself and DD around 38 weeks. We’ll have the car seat ready to go in our garage and my parents will likely just bring it to us.
What I actually really need to do is put a back pair of pants/underwear/pads/shirt at work in case my water breaks there. DNW want to have to sit in amniotic fluid soaked clothes for any length of time.

I'm going to try to have a bag packed by 37 weeks, just in case we have to transfer to the hospital. I want to wait as long as I can to install the car seat. We'll have to turn DS forward facing and to the driver's side to fit. And I want to clean my car out first.

I just ordered a new weekender bag. My old one was back from when Ed Hardy was popular so it is pretty embarrassing. I think I deserve a new one.
So I'll be waiting at the very least until that comes to pack. Honestly though, most of the things I'll be packing I'll be using pretty regularly until I go into labor so I'm not sure how much packing I"ll really do until it's like...imminent.

I’m only 31w but I think I’m packing my bag this weekend. The thought of going into labor earlier and having DH pack my bag sounds horrifying.
I did pack her bag.
That being said - I don’t think dh will stay this time with Me overnight. He’s such a crap without sleep that I don’t want to deal with his mood AND NO SLEEP and a newborn. Plus we have three kids at home...
Car seat: since he is going to be home he can install it the day we come home.. we may transition the boys to the third row tho sooner than that. We shall see.

My bag and baby’s bag are packed! Except for the things I use every day. But I walked MH through the list of last minute things that will need to be packed if I can’t do it myself and it was hilarious. He was so specific in his list... “yellow Vera Bradley bag to the right of the sink”, “pink Vera bag with medicine in top dresser drawer” (I have a lot of Vera Bradley, okay?!). And of course he had to comment that I will probably be the only person to have ever brought this much stuff to the hospital, but I actually think I did pretty good. One duffel bag for me, a small tote bag for baby, and then H’s backpack. Plus the boppy and breast pump that we’ll keep in the car unless we need it.

I bought myself a new bag and have started packing it. I still have time, but planning on having it packed within the next few weeks.
We'll install the infant seat around 35-37 weeks.

I bought a new bag too and washed my hospital clothes and the baby's clothes last night. I have everything I need for it I just need to pack it. I got travel size toiletries of everything so the only every day stuff I'll need to pack is my makeup, blow dryer, and phone charger.
Car seat will be washed and installed this weekend. I feel super prepared and now watch her come late.

I don’t want to still the car seat base bc I’ll have to move everyone around, but it’s going to warm up a bit (32*!) this weekend and I I don’t think it’ll be getting easier or more comfortable to do in the coming weeks.

mrsmonogrammed I just got a cheap overnight bag from Amazon. Nothing fancy at all. If we go out of town, I usually use a suitcase and share it with DH. So, I didn't want to invest in something that may or may not get used often after this. For the price, I was pleased with how roomy it is and overall good quality. I got the pink one. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B075RPV4RJ?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_t2&th=1
