First Monday back for us. I miss not waking up to an Arizona sunshine. Dammit.

So I find out this morning from some other moms that for the 100th day of school (which is in 2 weeks) the kids are supposed to dress up as old people. One of these moms is super excited about it and already has an outfit planned out for her daughter. All I am thinking is...Seriously???...I am expected to go out and buy clothes or dress-up things to make DD look old? WTF! I really don't want to waste money on that and I am pretty sure we have nothing here that would fit the bill. This might be one "spirit" day that DD will not follow along with.

We just bought a wooden cane (that we cut down to make shorter) & a pack of mustaches from a party store. He used clothes he already had. I know some people get over the top with this. We spent maybe around 5 bucks. Lol He looked pretty cute.

Had a chat with DD’s teacher about a girl that’s being mean to her so that was fun.
But that doesn’t matter, I have a private ski lesson tomorrow and another one next week and I am super excited about that. And in two weeks we are going skiing for a week and my mom is coming along so much excite 🙂
I also just realised our anniversary is tomorrow and not Wednesday 😬

I'm home from working in the computer lab at DS' school. The job is mine all week if I don't book a teaching gig so that's cool but teaching pays more so that's why I tell them I would unless teaching comes up. I need to actually say that outloud so they shut up about it. The lady that called this morning was like "is this namaste? Do you still want to work?" jokingly because I haven't picked up in so long. Like um excuse me. Besides our vacation we took, there was 6 snow/cold days in January in which school was closed. I was working enough at home with DS.

Hello, ladies! It's been forever, so I thought I would see what's happening here, although I really shouldn't be on here today. I have a ton to do, and it doesn't help that I got a very late start at doing any of it since I began my day by cleaning up after a sick dog for over an hour (has been feeling fine ever since though, thank goodness). I really needed a break from paperwork and arguing with the insurance company though, so here I am anyway. Hope all is well with everyone here.

Maybe draw some wrinkles with eyeliner or something. I don't use eyeliner, so I have no idea if this is actually a reasonable idea or not, just something low-cost that popped in my head. If she has a cardigan, that could be part of her outfit rather than buying clothes as it is something that people of all ages sometimes wear.

We do the dress like you’re 100 in my class too misspeansmama. The kiddos really enjoy it. Most of them are wearing something they usually wear (sweater, mismatched socks, robe, etc). Lots of parents put powder in their hair or draw wrinkles, etc. it’s just supposed to be fun and no stress.

I’m finally feeling better! School went smoothly and I’m prepped for tomorrow.
It’s snowy and gross out now. We’re doing the will we have school tomorrow dance. I’m prepped either way. If we’re off it’s a cleaning day after I was so sick last week. We shall see!

I wouldn’t go out of my way to do this if you don’t already have something she could use as an outfit.
