Once again I failed at doing laundry and grocery shopping this weekend so I need to do that today. I'm sad because it was so nice yesterday and supposed to snow today

Also, I made cookie dough dip to take to my sister's house, but we didn't end up going. Now I've just been eating it nonstop. So good

I'm here! Did any of your little ones deal with hypernasal speech (or sometimes even a little underwater)? Charlie constantly sounds like he is entirely stuffed up, so I left a message for the pediatrician to talk to her about it but I don't want to bring him in (because of flu season) unless I absolutely have to. Figured I'd crowd source a little before she calls me back.

Just got to work. Our branch hours changed so now I have to open. The branch staff doesn't get here until 9 now. I hate opening. I hate being here by myself. And my office is all the way in the back. So I can't see out to the main lobby area.

@wine, it's how he always talks -- mostly with S, F, and V sounds. We noticed it when he's counting 5,6,7 – he sounds like a little cartoon mobster from the 20s in a pinstripe suit. He has hard boogs (sorry for the TMI) most of the time, but we saline and suction as much as we can. He's never had an ear infection, so I don't know if there's fluid pent up way deep or maybe an adnoid issue (although he's never had a tonsil issue)

Let us know what the dr says, I'm curious!

My parents live next door and last night I could hear my dad's voice at 1am. He and my mom were in the backyard then I saw his car leave. I texted my mom to see what was up and she said their dog hurt her leg and couldn't get out the back door then my grandma called that she couldn't breathe. Grandma was released from rehab Friday and my dad found a live in caretaker for her. She keeps calling and saying she doesn't like the lady but really she wants her old caretaker back (that woman has a husband and child and doesn't do live in.) My dad ended up calling 911 and she's been admitted to the hospital.
I'm waiting for my doctor to open to get my time for stent removal tomorrow. I woke up in a lot of pain but for now I'm ok. DH took the kids to school and then had to go to work, he's missed so much and next month is bonus month. I'm hoping to spend the day on the couch with C.

kim22 Lord when it rains, it pours. I'm so sorry you've got so much going on when you should just be snuggling your newborn all day. I hope the stents come out painfully tomorrow and things start calming down. Ha uh I didn't mean "painfully" I meany painlessly!

We're on the plane! Waiting for take off. Our cover story was we were taking Grammy to the airport for a trip she was going on. They were excited to stay at the hotel with her and swim last night. But this morning they were really upset about saying goodbye to Grammy so we broke the news and they were psyched.
Madison has an upset stomach now and I'm hoping it goes away really soon.

Like @wine I did no get groceries or completed laundry yesterday. So after taking ds to school I went to the grocery store. I could not find any inspiration, couldn’t get any further than sausages and baked potatoes... laundry is endless. The weather sucks, and ds is tired from school, so the kids are watching tv for a bit while I change all of our sheets.

@wine, unfortunately, I will be waiting because the pediatrician has the flu herself. They told me they think she'll be in on Thursday, but if I want to schedule an ENT appointment it might be good to have one on the books for the future.

Figured I'd crowd source a little before she calls me back. maybe call and see if you can get a referral to ENT without going in

I bought a foldable potty training seat. When we were out Matthew kept slipping in and then peeing straight out and it totally killed his excitement because then he'd get pee on his pants. And he'd get all panicked "I didn't mean to do that!"

I hate being such a downer, it's not usually me. Have appointment for stents to come out at 1 tomorrow. That works because my mom is out of work at 11:30 so she can watch C and I will be done before the others get out of school. Grandma has fluid on her lungs. We had an amazing 2017, guess it's our turn for craziness.

And he'd get all panicked "I didn't mean to do that!" Just remember that even after they are trained they still have several accidents for the first few months. Since he is older he may not have as many of these but it is remembering that feeling of going potty before it is too late and knowing how long it takes to go pee. We had a lot of "i have to pee" and mad dash to the potty only to be foiled by pulling down the pants.
