So night 2 wasn’t as magical but not horrible either. It took about 25 mins to go down at bedtime but she was awake again like 45 mins later. MH went in for that check in which worked better. She was asleep like 15 mins later. She slept 9-2:15, I fed her and she did cry and fuss at that put down but not full blown for like 10 mins, no check in needed. She slept from 2:50-6:15 and I brought her in with me, fed her and slept till almost 8:00.
She was a much happier baby yesterday with more sleep so we will see what today brings!

How many of us have stopped room sharing? Baby h has been in his crib in his nursery for a long time, but we had been sleeping on a foam mattress on the floor. Monday night he woke up every 1.5 hrs and dh is a loud snorer so I wondered if that was a factor. Last night, baby h was in there by himself for the first time and he woke to eat every 3-4 hrs. It seems like we'll get more sleep not being in the room but I worry so much just because of the AAP recommendation to room share for a year. I emailed my pediatrician with the same question, and I'll share what she responds, but I'm wondering what the rest of you have done. We are so exhausted but I would never forgive myself if something happened. But his room is literally across the hall from our bedroom. I can see the adult breathing regulating their breathing when they are a newborn, but he's so big now and rolling both ways. We put j in his crib a week and a half ago when we started sleep training so right before 5 months. It's been good for all of us.

So I have a snow delay today so I put j down for his first nap. I decided to give him his bink today and it was great. He cried one minute then whimpered for 5 but not full blown crying. He also spit it out right before he passed out. I think I will have h try it that way later on today and see if it works as well

thinkchocolate05 we moved N into his room a couple weeks ago. He was doing better in his crib so I gave up the co-rooming dream I had. Sleep is more impt. 🤷🏻♀️ Last night was shit. Up basically every hour or two after midnight until I held him at 530 til 730. Ugh.

Sorry for all the sleep woes! Good for all the sleep wins! We are in between. We just entered the 5th leap and it’s starting to show in his sleep patterns. We get a great 1st half of the night and a crappy second half. I have to sit down with Mh and get a time frame down for sleep training. Like I said before it will require more of him this time since baby just assumes I will feed him. Naps are also hit or miss. I never really let him cry it out for a nap. I’m tempted to give it a go. My DS was such a great napper. thinkchocolate05 H has been in his “own room” for over a month now. It was just easier for all of us. I use quotes becuase he is still technically in the master suite - just not the master bedroom. We have a full size sitting room:bedroom connected to our room. I put his nursery there to make night wakings easier for me. He is much more settled in his crib now that he mastered rolling.

R cried out at like 3:30am, but just wanted the pacifier. Then she started making noise sometime after 5am. I waited until6am to get her. She was just smiling and holding onto her paci. I could do a 6am wake up, so I guess that’s what I’ll shoot for.

Night 3 was good! The initial going down sucked. She really wailed and it took a few check ins, it was probably around 45 mins or so. She then slept 8:30-5:30!!! I actually checked on her a few times in between because she literally slept in the same position all night so I worried she wasn’t breathing or something. I fed her and she slept till 7:45. Woke up babbling and smiling when I got her so it makes me feel less bad about the bedtime crying. cwbh928, I actually started out with naps. I know this makes no sense but for some reason the crying seemed less awful during the day for me and has never been more than 10 or 15 mins for a nap.

I think I might try it for naps today and see how it goes! It makes sense since I usually chasing the toddler around anyway and usually have to wait to get the baby.

Last night j went to bed completely awake. He was quiet and cooed for 5 minutes then went to sleep. He slept from 8pm to 4am! Then he ate and slept anothrr 2 hours. Dh has put him down for 2 naps today. He said he only cried for 1 minute the first one and 5 minutes the second one so major improvement. He also slept 45 minutes and 1 hour. Maybe he is starting to understand naps

Baby H definitely sleeps better without us in the nursery. It still makes me nervous, but the pediatrician emailed back and said that it's controversial whether room sharing after five months is necessary and that it should be okay if I'm comfortable with it and we have a monitor or the nursery is close. So, we are going to continue with it. bsouls I wish mine would sleep 8-5, but that's when I get up. Morning sleep is always harder since they aren't as tired to begin with.

N went down at 9ish and woke up twice pretty quickly bee had to rock him back to sleep and then he woke up at 11 and DH just gave him the pacifier and he went back to sleep- huzzah! Slept til 2, I fed, back to sleep. Up at 5, DH gave paci, slept til 6. Huzzah! Nanny is here and feeding so I can pump and go to work. I’m so exhausted. DH insisted on having the monitor on his nightstand even though the charger is by my nightstand. We were woken up at 4am bc the monitor had no battery. Thanks DH 🙄😠 and he’s all like I didn’t even he at him crying at 2! The monitor was next to your head bro! Ugh.

Night 4 of up every hour or 2. I don’t know why we slid back so far again. I do think starting solids has something to do with it though, he seemed uncomfortable like he had gas stuck.
We can’t start sleep training until the 12th and I’m just so over it.

I’m so afraid all the sleep progress will go to shit now 😞

R was super fussy all day. H said he had to hold her this afternoon and it took her 30+ minutes to fall asleep tonight. We gave her Tylenol twice today. Not sure if it’s the leap or teeth.

N has been so damn fussy after 12pm these last few days, too bsouls. I can’t figure it out. He wakes up from his naps cranky! I probably should have tried Tylenol 😒 even my nanny was like today... was not a good day.... and he’s usually an angel for her and waits for me to get home to be a fusspot lol. Poor kiddos. Put him to sleep half hour + early, hope it doesn’t bite me in the ass tonight. I’m so tired of DH not waking up at night but when I work less hours than him the next day I feel badly making him wake up. I need to get over it.

J has been doing so awesome but last night wasn't great. The damn ups guy delivered a package at 930, knocked, and woke j up. Wtf? So he slept 8 to 930 then 945 to 1215 then 1245 to 445. I got him back to sleep at 945 with just a check in but still. I'm hoping it's all because he got woken up quickly after going to bed. I'm also hoping he goes back to sleep until 7 so I can too.

A few months ago we had the weirdest thing where this guy came around at 9:30pm and said he was promoting some new rap music and asked if we wanted to listen to the CD. We were like, "uh". I hope sleep goes better tonight.
