My realtor just sent me a house...it's my co-workers house who just retired🤦. And it's in our price range. I knew she was listing, but assumed it'd be for more since she is in an insanely good school district. Gah for me not grilling her and selling off market.

I joined a mini boden/Hanna Andersson BST group on Facebook and it's fascinating. People buy so much if this stuff! And still not that great of bargains for second hand. I'm in a couple similar groups...one is exclusively a smocked brand I like (Cecil & Lou) and one is for all things smocked or otherwise high-end (Lilly, etc). I've always heard used clothing should sell for 30% of retail, maybe a bit higher for designer/boutique brands. These women will try to sell an 'excellent used condition' $35 dress for $30. Or they'll list something in "good" or "play" condition (untreated stains, frayed embroidery, etc) and still be asking 50%+ of retail. Sorry, you can bump that 100 times, no one is going to pay that. My personal favorite: a bubble that the seller was asking $75 for --it retailed for $36 last year. I guess the pattern was super popular and sold out, but c'mon, who in their right mind will pay $75 for a used baby outfit, when they could buy something brand new/similar for half that? Surprise: it did not sell. I have sold a few items but have yet to buy anything, b/c typically for $5 more I can get it brand new, lol. Omg that is ridiculous, people are nuts. I think one lady was posting stuff she bought at HA that day on the site? Like why not just buy yourself? I may use this as an option to sell our few nicer things since there seem to be buyers, but I'll prob do a consignment or donate the vast majority of our regular clothes.

cagoldi holy crap that’s crazy!! Why’d he pull a gun on you? One time I was driving down the freeway on the phone with dh and traffic slo ed to a crawl. I looked around and realized we were pretty much surrounded by SWAT guys all with guns drawn! Apparently there was a standoff on the other side of the freeway. I very calmly today dh I had to go and drove through. Compare that to a few months ago when I thought I was going to run out of gas and couldn’t figure out where the nearest gas station was and I called him in a complete panick and started sobbing. Lol, my reactions don’t always fit the situation! 🤷🏼♀️

My best friend bought her house off market through a contractor her dad knew who was planning on flipping it in the spring. She got to choose all of her finishes and basically moved into a brand new house. Color me jealous. I hope we have the same luck.

I’m in one of those groups and people will do outlet shops. They will go to the outlets, post what they see while they are still there and offer to buy for people.

I only nurse from one side per feeding so I would attach the pump to the opposite side and catch whatever was leaking out. When my girls were first born I’d have to change my soaking wet pads at least 2 times a day. I didn’t get mine until S was 6 months old, but I wished I would have had it from the beginning.

The truck is probably totaled and he thinks he may have sprained his wrist. The other guy ran a red light but he told the cops it was green. No witnesses, no working cameras and there was a cop at a restaurant by the intersection but he didn't see anything. Not sure what happens now. I had almost this exact situation happen to me. Except there were witnesses, 3 in my car and 1 in the car that hit us. The other driver kept this charade up and tried to take me to court- suing me for 10K! My insurance company provided a lawyer but the case ended up being thrown out bc the attorney that the driver had was found to have legal issues of his own! (So that really gives you an idea of the character of these ppl.) It was incredibly stressful and scary for me at the time, I was only 24. Not to mention the insult of the fact that she totaled my car and now was trying to sue me as well.

Yes! He wants to do that on one wall.

His main thing is that he wants a herringbone wall. The pattern would be on the wall in molding and then the whole wall painted the same color, so a bit more subtle if that makes sense. I have a Pinterest picture, but can't figure out how to get it here since I'm on a computer. So he wants that and the whole room painted a pale tan/beige. Anytime I talk about what accent colors we should do in the room, he's just like "oh, we'll see. That may work". So, I'm not sure what he's got going on in that head! IMO the herringbone thing is going to go the way of chevron. I think herringbone is definitely more classic, like for flooring, etc. but a wall treatment? Nope nope nope. If my husband tried to direct the decorating of our home but especially the kids rooms, we would come to blows, lol. I agree. I'd rather do something different. I think he just wants to use tools.

Yes, most of C's everyday things I'm going to sell through one of those big consignment sales this spring. I feel like I'll get a bit more that way than a shop, and they donate unsold items to a shelter, so win/win. I've held onto a lot of B's stuff for my sister, but now that her little boy will be in completely different sizes/seasons than mine, I probably need to purge again.

Such a gross feeling! I really should alter my diet, but I want all the food! I have heartburn all day everyday lately and it doesn't seem to matter what I eat. Not pleasant. I have not entered this phase yet, but I can see it is on the horizon ☹️

I feel like my children just roam the house looking for things to eat.
Also, don't think I ever said 'good morning' today, just jumped in...so, good morning, and TGIF!

jewels - So glad B is doing well this morning!! I would have flipped out too. DHs' cousin's son fell off their bed when he was just an infant and he ended up in a full body cast for 6 weeks or so. DNW. I mean, obviously.

Apparently my dad just went through this last year....thanks for telling us.... She said the insurance companies tried to fight it out and couldn't resolve it in arbitration so neither party was found at fault and each person's insurance co had to pay for the repairs to their own car. I was also concerned because MH doesn't get medical insurance with this new job until Feb 1 so I'm hoping the work insurance on the vehicle has a medical policy. Otherwise we'll have to pay OOP for xrays, etc.

Right? I always start with, "I'm okay." One time a guy pulled a gun on me while I was on the freeway and talkative Pete. I calmly told him I had to go and I'd call him when I got home. He was shocked a couple hours later when I told him the whole story. Why...? Also tagging yummeecookee guster xolastunicornxoIDK just some road-raging spoiled brat driving his dad's Mercedes. I called 911 and drove to the fire station right across the street from my house because I didn't want him to follow me home and I didn't know where the nearest police station was.

He tried to sue me. Someday I'll tell you about the time some guy went on a knife-wielding rampage in my restaurant.

Hiii by the way.
I've finally calmed down after a rough start to my workday. My manager forwarded me an email chain asking for my help on something, only there were so very snide comments down the chain about me and one of my coworkers, suggesting that we've basically blown this girl off every time she's asked for help for 8 months now. I was only pulled in 2 1/2 months ago and I created a process for her, gave her client a demo, and documented the whole thing for her. I don't know WHY she chose not to implement it, but it was unwise of her to complain to an Senior VP about how unhelpful I've been. I've got the damn emails and I was more than happy to pass them along.
Anyhow Chase was crying on and off for about 20 minutes or so around 2am, then Colin had an accident a little after 4:30. I got back to my room at 4:44 and started laughing because my alarm goes off at 4:45. At least they took it easy on me when it was time to get up!
