Sorry! A little late
The Trying to Conceive After a Loss thread is posted once a week (generally on Tuesday) for those of us who have unfortunately experienced a loss. No matter what type of loss you've experienced, from miscarriage to stillbirth to the loss of a child, it is heartbreaking. This thread is to help us commiserate, get support, and to try to navigate trying to conceive, after a loss, every week.
Out of respect to all the ladies here, please add a trigger warning if you decide to talk about any living children and please hide your signature if it contains pictures or tickers of babies or children. We also kindly ask for grads to refrain from commenting in this thread.
If you get a BFP, kindly either spoiler alert it or do not post it here at all.
**If this is your first check-in, and you would like to provide a gtky loss history intro go for it. If not, no worries!**
How are you doing?

How are you doing? Tired, we’ve been sick here.
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): Benched
Diagnosis (if applicable): PID related fertility issues, non alcoholic liver disease, swollen spleen.
Updates/questions: none
Debbie downer (a place to vent ) : I’m so tired of being benched. And H and are have been talking about the possibility of not trying yet even if we get cleared in March. I just don’t know how I’m feeling about it. So many emotions to work out. And the one year anniversary of our loss is in February.

Radley I'm sorry, that is so frustrating. Being benched gives rise to so many conflicting emotions. How are you doing? Happy to have O'd on CD14! What a win. I don't even care if we get KU this cycle - I'm like, yay this was already a great cycle! And it sets me up not to O when I'll be out of town in March, so that's like it bought us an extra cycle to try! Status: 4th cycle TTC Diagnosis: SA came back good, so my hope is nothing from my issues before (things like endo, LPD, high prolactin, the random little things that were all discovered during testing) is still going to create problems for us now. Also hoping that my RPL from before was more an indication of my ex's bad sperm. Apparently I am in a very optimistic place at the moment? Updates/questions: Has anyone had a BFP that showed up at the time you're supposed to read it but faded away within 5-10 min afterward? Dr. Google isn't answering this question adequately. I'm trying to comprehend whether we had a CP last cycle. I feel stupid to call the RE and ask about it because it's not like it impacts our case at the moment (trying for a couple more months before treatment). Debbie downer: There are not enough hours in the day. My f/t job just feels like a massive time and energy suck away from anything that I actually value. I try to remember that the money made is super life changing. But it sucks to be working "for the paycheck" - I'm in education so this was never really my motivation in the past and it is not working well for me as a motivation!

How are you doing? Meh, like always.
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC?
Diagnosis (if applicable): unexplained 2IF
Updates/questions: Still waiting on AF post d&c. CD57 over here.
Debbie downer (a place to vent): Still haven't gotten the results from our genetic testing and it's pissing me off. It was something that, at the time, was really important to both H and I but now I don't really care anymore. However, I do want to know so I have to track them down. I'm sure they just got lost on the genetic counselor's desk or something. They've already billed our insurance so there's that. Annoying.

How are you doing? Alright
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC
Diagnosis (if applicable):
Updates/questions: AF came a week earlier than i expected. So that was fun. BUT it could possibly give us an October birthday still. When talking to our dr after our loss I said October would be the next best month. Off until after Christmas break. So let’s see if this is our month.
I think I’m going to Check the store for an ovulation test tomorrow. If there is one I think I’ll buy it . It can’t hurt right?

Well after a talk with H we have decided not to try in March even if we get the go ahead. So I officially don’t belong in TTC or GKU. I’m still going to lurk though guys and I hope all of you move on from here with BFPs soon!

Hi ladies! I have a handful of wondfo OPKs & a bunch of HPTs that expire 03/18 and one CBE digital HPT that expires 08/19 that I’d love to send to the first lady who sends me a PM with your name and address.

Radley, I'm sorry for everything you're going through. Are you feeling ok about not trying in March? charliefox, Uh I am sorry. The waiting for AF is the worst. It took 6 weeks for mine, and that felt like an eternity. I also had genetic testing done and it took FOREVER to come. I didn't get the results back until about 2 months later. Definitely worth checking in though if they said they'd be in by now. akwild, I highly recommend the wondfo or easy@home off Amazon. So much cheaper than the ones in store sunshiney, I wouldn't expect a CP to fade away a few minutes later. You'd get the positive b/c even though you miscarry quickly, implantation happened long enough to give you HCG. I think when tests are still wet that the indent line from where they would be positive is sometimes visible. Once they dry that can go away, that would be my guess about what happened (though obviously I don't know for sure). Sucks so much to see something and then have it disappear though, no matter what the reason. Fx that the SA results mean you get your BFP soon! How are you doing? Ok. Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC Diagnosis (if applicable): PCOS, MFI Updates/questions: Just biding my time until we pull the trigger on IVF. T-minus 2 months until we sit down to decide on timing for that. Debbie downer (a place to vent ) : Yesterday was my 6th anniversary. It was also CD1 and I had come down with a nasty cold the day before. So we had to cancel our night out plans and order chinese food while I died on the couch. Not really how I wanted to spend my anniversary night, but that's life I guess.

That's very kind of you. I just ordered a big package of OPKs, so I'll let some other awesome lady get in on this.

Update: there was a mix up at the office of the doc that did my d&c...they've had the genetic results for like 7 weeks! Anyway, found out today that there was no genetic abnormality. I have mixed feelings about it. Glad that is wasn't an abnormality that might show up again but scared that it's something wrong with my body. Blargh.

charliefox I'm glad you have the results! Poop on them for sitting on them like idiots, though. It's so hard, though, I hear you how there's no result that can put you at ease.

I'm sorry you didn't get answers though. Did they test your progesterone levels and everything when you were pregnant?

They didn't test my progesterone while I was pregnant but i did have it tested one cycle during the TWW and it looked great.
