avocadotoast, I'm sorry about your dog, I hope they can get the meds right. That is so sad about the death. I'll be thinking of them.

I'm normally an "I'll take my coffee black" kind of girl. But lately, I've been craving the coconut caramel lattes at Coffee Bean, I just can't justify spending $5 every day on them. So this weekend I bought caramel sauce and dug out my espresso machine, which I haven't used in at least a year or two. My latte was good, but the taste was a little off (I drank it anyway) so I decided to clean it using the vinegar method. No matter how many times I ran it thru, there was always a sand-like residue in the carafe. Finally I had my H help unscrew the filter part on the top -- and guys, there was like 1/4 a cup of what looked like sand that fell out. Yuk, yuk, yuk to whatever I drank - I know it was probably mineral deposits, but blech. I ran 5 more just water cycles until it was clear, and my latte this morning is perfect. But I'm still all

45thparallel ,how was the wedding? What did you end up deciding on for a gift? The wedding was amazing. Some planning issues, so it felt like we were constantly running around, but overall beautiful. Theres a good chance I took advantage of the reception on a vineyard and consumed too much wine There was quite a bit of family drama too, and all around her family was awful to her - shes the last of 5 kids to get married so they treated it as just another wedding instead of her special day if that makes sense. I decided on a combination of money (a cheque) and I paid for her pre-wedding spa treatments - nails, massage, etc. I hadn't planned on paying for that but when I went to pay and realized her sisters, or mom did not pay, I couldnt let her pay for it herself. So I factored that into the gift. She has no idea I did that part until she reads her card. Big family drama weekend.

Just caught my fucking dog with her two paws up on the table eating my fucking cereal. W had finished his so I was setting him up in the living room and she came in and ate mine. I'm so mad. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk My dog ate my last pork dumpling off my plate last night! I mean, I certainly didn't need it... but still. I feel your rage.

45thparallel I want to love tit for the vineyard, but not for the way her family treated her! She's lucky to have a fabulous friend like you there.

sizzleb so glad you found the sand like substance before having too many. On the plus, if you were going to get sick it would have happened by now...

There was a concert in Brooklyn a few weeks ago at the Barclays Center, and there was a loud noise that caused a huge stampede because everyone thought it was a shooting and panicked.

vern: Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them. Benefits of PlayCheck out the videos by Landscape Structures (LSI) they should give you information. But a quick google search can get you a bunch of information on why it is important to let kids play and explore.

And there was the panic at Penn station a few weeks ago to, because of a false shooting report. People are on edge. (Understandably.) I know I feel like I am. It's so sad.

My anxiety has been at a 12 having to ride the train daily. I am constantly just watching everyone. The fact that anyone at any given time can just walk onto that train and just open fire is something that I play through my head everyday. What will I do? Where will I go?
