Also, your success stories! I'm starting to see a drop in my pumping output. This is the same time my nursing relationship with DS started to go south. So while I'm starting to consider weaning in a few months, I'm also wanting to avoid making that decision out of necessity. Fenugreek did nothing for me last time and I'm not really interested in trying too much to boost my supply. But I figure adding cookies to my diet is worth trying!

Lactation cookie recipe
Ingredients
Coconut flour Whole wheat flour Plain flour Regular rolled oats (not quick cook) Flax meal Brewer's yeast Salt Baking powder Cinnamon Sugar Brown sugar Vanilla Eggs Chocolate chips Peanut or almond butter Molasses Butter
Set oven to 350. In small bowl combine; 1/2 cup coconut flour, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup plain flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp cinnamon.
In large bowl; combine 3/4 cups peanut or almond butter, 1/2 cup butter, 2 tablespoons flax meal* (soak in 1/3 cup water before adding) 3 to 4 tablespoons Brewers yeast, 1/2 cup molasses, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tsp vanilla, 2 large eggs. Combine ingredients until creamy.
Once large bowl is creamy in texture slowly add contents from small bowl into the mixture.
Add 12 oz pack of chocolate chips to mixture (you may also add nuts at this step if you like) mix until evenly distributed.
Mix in 3 cups regular oats. If you feel the mix is too thick you may add a little bit of buttermilk.
Use melon scoup to portion out dough onto a greased cookie sheet. Take a fork and gently press the top of cookie down.
Bake cookies on 350 for about 12 minutes. (Cookies should have a very soft texture when cooled if you bake longer they get very hard)
This recipe makes approximately 5 dozen. You can freeze half and bake later if you like.
I really like it and I feel it has helped with my supply. Also a good stout beer at night, I swear if I drink one after Q is asleep for the night my out put for the next day is much better.

I've never made lactation cookies before, but I did just buy flaxseed for some granola bars I was making. Try to get Golden flaxseed instead of the regular kind. I prefer the taste and I think the shell is softer.
I bought mine in my local grocery store (Star market) because Whole Foods didn't have the golden kind (which I was surprised by).

What I've been doing lately is making oatmeal. 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, 1c milk, .5 tbsp flax seed, flavor and sweeten as desired. Microwave 2-3 minutes.
I usually do applesauce and cinnamon, or just maple syrup.

Here's my cookie recipe, but I have since just started making oatmeal at morning or night and adding brewers yeast (1tsp ish) and ground flaxseed to it and sweetening with maple syrup. It's been easier on my waistline Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes - get finely-ground flaxseed meal - it will be with the hippie grains (sometimes near the oatmeal and such?). Keep it in the fridge, because it will last longer (it can go rancid if it gets warm).

Oh, also, brewer's yeast tastes hideous, so if you want to take it in addition to eating the cookies, you can get tablets on Amazon.

Fingers crossed they work but worst case scenario...cookies!
