1. How did last week go? Great! My Crohn's tummy is getting used to a bit more fiber so I was able to feel more full by eating some steamed veggies. Hallelujah! Lost only 0.8 lbs this week but last week I was dehydrated from tummy issues and this week I was bloated so I think my progress is actually a bit more steady than it seems.
2. What is your short term goal for this week? I want to jump into exercise with both feet one foot and not use my ankle injury as an excuse to forego physical activity!
3. What is your long term goal? Still focusing on how great it will be to feel sexy(er) again. Prancing around in a bikini on an all-inclusive tropical vacation with DH once we've paid off my student loan and had a kid? (All the big goals rolled up in one there...)
4. Where is your favorite place to vacation? What do you like to do while there? Toronto...it's near enough that I couldn't imagine living without it, but far enough that it takes planning and creates lots of anticipatory excitement! I love to eat there. And visit Ikea. And do all the museums. And just bask in the wonderfulness that is the most diverse city in the world.

1. Last week went well for me with exercise. I worked out on my elliptical 4 times. I did not do so well on the eating part. I gained 3lbs from last Monday to today 😢
2. I need to focus on eating low carb and just eating less in general. I want to drink at least 2 - 23oz bottles of water everyday. That would be a big improvement for me. I also want to exercise at least 4 times this week.
3. I need to lose 75lbs and tone up.
4. My favorite vacation spot is Alaska! We went almost 4 years ago. We went halibut fishing, and it was awesome! We also loved just riding around looking at the gorgeous scenery.

sunshiney .8 is still almost a pound which is great! orangehibiscus Good job with the exercise! It is just as important and healthy eating imo. 1. How did last week go? Good. I’m down another 1.5. I overate on the weekend. Again. I got all of my cardio in but did not do the strength stuff I’m trying to do twice a week. I just can’t fit it in when we’re trying to have a bunch of sex. 2. What is your short term goal for this week? Same as last week but I would like to fit my strength stuff in this week which should be doable since the scheduled sex is over! (Yay) 3. What is your long term goal? Lose 50 pounds and then reassess. Eat healthier and exercise. 4. Where is your favorite place to vacation? What do you like to do while there? I really loved Hawai’i, but it’s been soooo long since I was there I feel like I might be embellishing in my head at this point lol. I love to snorkel and be on the water in general. The Caribbean is also a favorite destination.

But then I started thinking, Hm, how could it be strength training...and am sitting here in stitches and also semi-seriously ready to have work-out sex tonight. orangehibiscus Are you taking measurements? That's awesome on the exercise, I know we can gain muscle but slim down! I hope that explains the gain this week and that you keep seeing great progress.

I'm not taking measurements. I probably should, but I just don't want to see those numbers. I weigh myself twice weekly though, so that and how my clothes fit will be my measurements.

1. How did last week go? Good! I kept up the exercise 4 times a week, and managed to lose 2 pounds.
2. What is your short term goal for this week? Continue with exercise, maybe try to add more cardio. And keep up the weight loss!
3. What is your long term goal? Lose about 15 pounds, get more consistent with the healthy eating.
4. Where is your favorite place to vacation? What do you like to do while there? My favorite place is probably Monterey, CA. My family went there a lot when I was a kid, since it's just far enough from the Bay to be a bit of a trip but not too far. H and I took our honeymoon there too. We used to have a membership to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I was so sad when we let that expire after moving out of CA.

sunshiney, take care of that injury! But yay to getting tummy issues under control! orangehibiscus, I find that drinking lots of water helps with so much. It curbs the appetite a bit, and helps skin look great. Good luck drinking more! obscureference, I was amazed at how much I loved Hawaii. I doubt it's too exaggerated in your memory! And good job getting all of your cardio in!

Hi, ladies! I started weight watchers yesterday, and this is my first full day. I’m very nervous it won’t lead to weight loss because there are so many zero calorie foods. I have always been good at working out but have upped it by doing HIIT workouts. After a couple of weeks, I can definitely see waist, leg, and arm definition, but it’s not showing on the scale

Thanks bonzo! I hit my water goal yesterday, and I'm well on my way to hitting it today too. That's so frustrating when it doesn't show on the scale hoosiermama76! Muscle weighs more than fat though!

bonzo Wow that's awesome! Congrats on your weight loss! hoosiermama76 Good for you, it sounds like your workouts are being rewarded! It sucks not to see the scale change, but I hope it feels great that you're seeing more definition.

1. How did last week go? Ok. I made mostly good decisions with my food, but ate more cheese then I should have. 2. What is your short term goal for this week? It was to eat really healthy before today, because I had the ERA test today, but I'm giving myself a bit of a break the next couple days before getting back into it. 3. What is your long term goal? General overall health - not eating too much sugar, and upping my strength. 4. Where is your favorite place to vacation? What do you like to do while there? I feel like I haven't been enough places yet that I have a favourite place... so I guess places I haven't been yet. sunshiney I'm sorry you're having tummy troubles, but it sounds like you are making progress! orangehibiscus, great job with the exercise! I'm sorry it's not showing on the scale. obscureference,I'm getting a kick out of your exercise vs sex conundrum bonzo,yay for keeping up with the exercise and the weight loss! hoosiermama76, I like HIIT classes, that's what I've been doing (when I have time). If you do them a few times a week, I think you'll see results in a few weeks - it might take a while to show on the scale, but it should show. Most of the people in my classes have seen good results, so don't give up!

orangehibiscus We have no plans to go back to Hawai’i unfortunately. It is sooooo far from where we are that it makes a lot more sense to do the Caribbean for a tropical vacation. sunshiney I should figure out a way to strap weights to my....knees? Lol I don’t know how to make sex into strength training! sally Cheese is my weakness, too. I really really love it. It’s good protein! hoosiermama76 I have always had success with weight watchers. I have only been on the new version with all of the zero calorie foods for 3 weeks, but it’s still working for me so far! The first couple of weeks I went crazy with eggs, but I’ve backed off of them a bit since too many can be a bad thing. bonzo Awesome job losing 2 pounds! Two packages of butter! (I like to hold food items to feel how much I’ve lost. Lol

obscureference, I hadn't thought of it that way, but I like the visualization! It reminds me of when my college roommate and I used to watch You Are What You Eat on BBC America, and they'd lay out an entire week's food diary on a table.
