I saw the headline of Graham saying they had a compromise that McConnell and WH nixed it.
Spill it Lindsey. I want to know what was agreed on and where it failed.

At least now I'll have time to get the crack in my windshield fixed.

Sigh. I hope this shutdown is short lived.

I’m a non-essential Fed. I’m pretty frustrated but not surprised.

Many of them are still on the floor. Graham, Flake, Collins and others are in a group talking to Klobuchar, Kaine and other Dems.
There's a lot more Dems on the GOP side than I've seen with any other vote I've watched.

Flake is now talking to McConnell.
JUST DO SOMETHING YOU SHITS.
ETA and now Flake is talking to Schumer and a bunch of Dems
However I'm skeptical that whatever the Senate could managed to come up with would fly in the House.

I'm sorry to all those who will be affected. It sucks. I hope it won't be that long. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

Didn't they all go home? Scalise told them to keep their plans flexible so I don't think they're going home to their districts. But yeah, I don't think anything else is happening vote-wise tonight.

Who the fuck knows at this point. (McConnell hasn't voted yet so the vote is still open.)

Only surprise so far is Mike Lee voting no...which isn't that surprising. Senators are leaving the Capitol. Looks like we're headed to a shutdown. Who knows for how long. Has Mike Lee ever voted for a CR? I thought that was his thing - he doesn’t vote for them.

The New York Times has a headline that contains the words “as Democrats push the government toward shutdown” and I am raging.

The New York Times has a headline that contains the words “as Democrats push the government toward shutdown” and I am raging. Not even all the Republicans voted for this thing.... And it's their need to screw over some section of the population that caused this. Of course, they will try to put this on the Dems to help them with midterms

Bob Corker really is lil. He really is. I rolled my eyes at 45 when he started being an ass to Corker, but even an ass can be right every once in awhile. Not that it excuses his being an ass or trying to use that as a reason to demean someone.

Bob Corker really is lil. 5'7" according to Google. Google also tells me McConnell is only 5'9". Nice to know if I ever meet the bastard, I can literally look down on him.

Flake/Graham pulled McConnell away from Cotton and talked to him for awhile. Then they split off and Flake is talking to Schumer and Graham to Warren and a bunch of Dems.
