catspajamas2 you're right. I'm trying to come up with a way to quell my anxiety should I not be able to find it at some point. I've already decided that I'm going to wait to try it until I get to 12 weeks. It's more that I want one because it seemed so cool.

I tried my doppler a couple of times after I turned 8 weeks and haven’t been able to find it yet. I’ve only been able to hear the placenta. I’m not freaking out though because I know it can be very hard to find until I’m quite a bit further along.

I decided I needed some me time today. DH is home with DS while I'm sitting here getting a pedicure and drinking my first cup of coffee in over 3 months. Oh how I've missed you!

I really want frozen custard from Freddy's. The egg yolks they use to make custard are pasteurized, but I've read not to eat frozen desserts that are dispensed from a soft serve machine. WWYD? I think it's due to worries about the cleanliness of the machine.

I will be picking up a pint of Ben & Jerry's if I can't have custard. I believe they also have some that doesn't come out of a soft serve machine, as you can get a scoop of it. I guess I could get it that way.

I’m not sure how risky it really is. Fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables seem to be getting all the negative press for contamination these days.

I would eat it goldenbird. This is one of those I always forget is an issue until after I’m eating it.

I've never heard that about soft serve either. I'd eat it

I got a doppler at the 16 weeks. I struggled the first time, but I tried it after I had been to the OB so I knew things were okay

I haven’t ever had an at home Doppler but it seems like it could be a source of worry no? At my 16 week visit the OB couldn’t find the heartbeat on the Doppler and said that’s actually quite common around the 16 week mark. Something about the baby’s position. If that had happened to me at home with no ultrasound alternative I would have lost it and freaked. Obviously this is anecdotal and TETO, just what came to mind reading about it. I hope everyone here finds a way to have the most anxiety free pregnancy possible. I would have gone insane without mine. I likely would have drove my doctor insane as well. I need that reassurance. I listen every night and any time I'm feeling particularly anxious. I've had 1 scare this time where I couldn't find baby for like 20 mins. I freaked but eventually found the HB. I think I've gotten pretty good at finding it though. I find it quicker than the nurses do.

I'm finely starting to feel better at 14 weeks. I still feel nauseous at least half the day, but I am making it without b6. I'm hoping a week or two and I'll be fine. You give me hope You'll get there. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

That's how I learned with DS and looked again at the beginning of this pregnancy. Lol Also, go reeeeeally slow when you move the wand.

I assume yes or you wouldn't eat there, but do they seem to be strict about cleaning rules? I'd probably go for it.

I bought some maternity pants today. I need some pants that aren't yoga or pajama and my regular jeans make me feel suffocated.

I would just like to rant about the lack of maternity clothing in actual stores. Went to the main mall today that is like 3 miles long, and only one store (motherhood) had maternity clothes. And Gap wouldn't take my return in store, because they don't sell maternity clothes in store. I'm so tired of buying things online and then returning all of the things when they don't fit right or I don't like it in person.

Thanks guys, I think I'll get a brownie sundae, which is made with a scoop of chocolate custard and brownie pieces. It's more likely that I'd get sick from eating really anything from anywhere than an ice cream machine specifically.

I'm planning on a trip in a few weeks and I really hope I can find some things to try on. I like to at least have a general idea of how it will fit before I order clothes online.

I had very little nausea yesterday, it was amazing. It’s back today though kaeguri I’m ranting with you as well. You’d think maternity clothes would be more readily available. I don’t understand it.

Kohl's has a decent selection, Target, Old Navy (some of them). And of course Pea in the Pod, Motherhood. Most tops fit true to prepregnancy size, I've found at least. I'm just picky with my fabric weights.

Does anyone have a good, relatively cheap toddler bed suggestion? I looked at IKEA, but it seems like their mattress sizes aren't standard and hard to find sheets for? I woke up this morning to a little hand patting my face saying hi mama, so I think it's time lol.

Not sure if you consider this cheap, but I bough DD a Minnie Mouse toddler bed off of amazon for less than $60. It was easy to put together.

kaeguri, we have an ikea crib that converts to a toddler bed and it takes a standard size mattress. honestly, though, i'd just go straight to a twin size mattress and not bother with a toddler bed-- they're in it for such a short time. you can buy inexpensive twin mattresses on amazon (they shipped rolled) for about $100. ikea also sells them rolled for around $100. start them out with the mattress directly on the floor.

This is what we'd prefer to do, but since the new baby and E will be sharing a room, there's not enough room :/. We plan on moving in 2-3 years, so I just need something that will get us through til she's about 5 or 6.

kaeguri, ikea sells a twin bedframe that has a 2nd twin bedframe that pulls out from underneath. if LO2 is going to be sleeping in your room for a while, that could conceivably work. they also make a bedframe that extends from crib mattress size to twin mattress size. you could also just plop the crib mattress directly on the floor for now. kids don't care. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we have similar space concerns but my needy 5-year-old is currently sharing a crib with our 2-year-old (sigh). we are going to switch them into a twin mattress soon, bc they are getting WAY too big for this setup. although i guess it is proof positive that a 5-year-old still fits on a crib mattress. it's just rather cramped.
