We requested early discharge but it was still 36 hours (one night).
AFM this night is not going well so far. 2 wakeups from DS and one from a hysterical DD crying and screaming for her security blanket. Spoiler alert: it was in her crib. Gahhh.

I got spoiled by 4+ hour stretches the last many nights and was bummed by a little less than 3 tonight.

I’m awake and showered. Little dude slept well and my exhaustion from not sleeping much the night before caught up with me. I just fed the baby. Now we are chilling until he is drowsy again. Then I will put him in the rnp downstairs so I can get G up for school.

I woke up to baby fussing at 4:30 thinking we had a full nights sleep. Then DH told me he was up with her at 1:30. So much for sleeping longer stretches!

I am tired!
J went to bed at 830p. Up at 11p, 215a, 445a. The wake-ups wouldn’t be so bad if I could have fallen back asleep right away. As soon as I started falling asleep, he would wake up again.
Now my 4 year old is awake.

yellow711 that is my problem. It takes me a while to get back to sleep and when she wakes every 3 hours it feels like I don’t get any actual sleep. The last feeding for me was at 4:30 and then she was grunting so I was awake and DD1 came in at 6:30 so now I’m up. And DH wonders why I fall asleep so early at night.

DS has been fussy since like 5pm. Just a few tiny catnaps all evening. It seems like he takes one good nap a day mid-afternoon and after that it's just a shit show until he falls asleep for the night at 9ish.
But he's swaddled and nursing to sleep now.
Good luck sleepy babies and mamas!!

Bed time is... not going well. Won’t fall asleep on her own. Won’t stay asleep if I put her down. Angry about being awake. Why is falling asleep more or less a learned skill? You are tired. I am tired. Let’s sleep, mmmkay?

Just close your eyes and sleep, babies!!!!

She actually managed to conk our on her own and slept from 11-4:15. Not our best night, but I shouldn’t complain. Hoping she goes back to sleep for a decent stretch because when she is awake/needs to be fed between 7-8am it is really hard to get everyone ready for the day.

So last night was awful. My sister and I stayed up late drinking wine so I was hoping for at least one long stretch but we went down after feeding at 11:30 and were up at 1:30, 3:30, 5:30 and 6:30. At 5:30 DD1 woke up too so DH went in with her and he’s still in there sleeping away. I would be jealous but he’s in her toddler bed with her which I can barely fit in and he’s 6’5”

Hi guys just checking in with the MOTN crew during daytime hours. I keep getting insomnia after feedings and worry that being on my phone in the MOTN is causing it. Unfortunately I was still up from 2-4 for no reason without phone interference. Le sigh.

Little dude went to bed at 9. I just crawled into bed. I hope I don’t regret not going to bed when he did.

Unfortunately I was still up from 2-4 for no reason without phone interference. Le sigh. We’ve been graced w some good sleep past couple nights but I’ve also been MIA bc when I am up, I don’t want to be looking at my phone bc I’m always 🤞 that I’ll be able I go back to sleep.

Present! Good thing these babes are cuddly and cute. Usually LO sleeps 5 hours for his first stretch but tonight he opted for 4.

I do in fact know what the fox says and it's something so creepy. Woke up tonight to a fox making noise outside and I swore my DD1 was like screaming or something. Nope. The worst. And bc I have adrenaline running thru my body.. There goes my sleep!

I managed to get the boys down a little earlier tonight and so got a little more sleep comparably. I feel decent. Hopefully they will contact nurse tomaleep well tonight.
Also fx that next week the dr says I can let them sleep 😴

I sent to bed with a major headache only for DS2 to scream every 5 minutes so I’ve been sitting upright with him sleeping in my chest.

Here! H took the first half of the night which I do not feel guilty about at all even though I said I would. Hoping for even a peaceful 2 hour stretch.

Present. DS has given me a few 45 minute cat naps, which is more than I got last night! He didn’t sleep out of my arms until nearly 6am last night. I psychologically prepared myself for the same thing tonight, so I’m feeling less miserable with lower expectations, but whew am I tired.
Tomorrow I have to be so strict with myself not to skip naps when he’s sleeping. I always have a good reason to be awake instead but I need to catch up!
