Wake up #1 here. Hopefully it's a short one.
Don't you hate it when you have to pee while nursing?

*waves*
I’ve scrolled this thread for the last couple weeks, but finding myself here more now that LO is out.
She was born at 37w2d at 6lbs6oz so we have been going consistently by her own 2 hour internal alarm around the clock.
My first daughter was born earlier and used to have to be woken at first to eat so I am not going to complain. Waking herself is a good thing.
FX a good night continues for everyone!

Hello. Feeding DS. DD has also been up a few times, I can hear her down the hall w H. He hasn’t texted me or anything so hopefully that means it hasn’t been a terrible night for her. DS is nursing extraordinarily sleepily sooo I don’t think I’ll get another long stretch tonight haha.

Got a 4 hour stretch but I still feel like I’m going to die at the moment. The first wake up is the hardest for me.
I’ve developed a callous on my pinky where my phone rests. Clearly I’m nursing and on my phone a heck of a lot. Lol.

LO always intermittently grunts in the MOTN when he's hungry for like 30 min before he actually cries. Since I'm a light sleeper I used to feed him immediately. Now i am waiting to try to get a few extra min of sleep. Anyone else's kid do this?

He started grunting for a minute or two around 2:30. I ignored him and he stayed asleep. Same thing at 5. 🤷🏻♀️ I figure if he was hungry, he would cry.

DS has been doing this thing where sometimes he wakes up motn, I get him up from the bassinet and then he passes out on my chest and won't latch. Then I decide he looks comfy and I go to sleep too. Then I wake up with boobs like rocks.

Sometimes it is really hard to tell if she’ll actually wake up or not.

How long do you wait to feed your grunter baby in the MOTN? 20 minutes lol. But he takes a paci so if he is getting worked up I try that for about 20 min and he either falls back asleep for another 1-2 hours OR he gets mad and then I know he is actually hungry.

But sometimes after 30 min she is still loud, despite not crying or waking up, and I just want her to settle for a bit since she’s not really sleeping. I’ve tried a pacifier but she hates them and just gags.

Anyone else get anxiety about the MOTN during the day? I’m not sure I’d call it anxiety, but I overthink all of her day sleep wondering if it’s going to affect her night sleep. Like did she sleep too much? Not enough?

Anyone else get anxiety about the MOTN during the day? Today I had a moment of dread thinking about going to bed for the night but I think it relates more to my toddler's bedtime more...he didn't nap today though so that will help.

I’ve tried a pacifier but she hates them and just gags. us too! She will grunt forever. I’ve let her go for a while before, but she just doesn’t cry MOTN so I usually just grab her after a few min to feed her. I wish she would take a binky. I’ve tried eleventy different brands and sizes but she still gags on it. I hope she eventually finds a love for her thumb like DD1 did 🤞🏻
