marygracerich same-ish story over here. I mess around on my phone to keep myself awake while nursing, then I get sucked into something and suddenly it’s 45 minutes later and I’m like shit. There goes my chance for sleep! maddisonrose I’m also holding DD4 upright for at least 20 min after a feeding to avoid excessive spit up, but it sounds like you’ve got it quite a bit worse. I’m sorry, I hope the pedi can help you out. I’m a pretty bad insomniac. I have been for my entire life. Whether I am reading on my phone or laying in the dark, I still have trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep. It’s the worst. I think my body is in the state of “oh you slept for 3 1/2 hours, well your done for the night!” And then I can’t fall back to sleep. 😑. I hope you get some rest.

rebeccabunch my DD's stump was off before her first pediatrician appt at 5 days. I was so nervous but the pediatrician was like, "cool one less thing you have to worry about. Now you can give her a real bath." So it's NBD. At least if there isn't a smell or push or anything. I'm looking forward to this one falling off!! Loving these positive anecdotes!

First night at home! Sure it’ll be rough but I need at least more than the 1 hour of sleep I got last night in the hospital.

Baby is grumpy tonight. And she wants to nurse for comfort but that is just making her puke more. Been trying to soothe her for 90+ minutes. Hoping she gives into sleep soon 😴

My supply has tanked in the past 2 days. I seriously want to cry. I rented a symphony today hopefully it gets my supply back.

I’m up, not because of the boys either, but DS1.
We have a rule of not going into his room unless he’s extremely Upset because it never ends well.
Well H broke that rule tonight and sure enough he’s losing it because we left him in his room. However it’s a good thing h did break our rule because he had a super poopy diaper (he almost never goes at night) and the beginnings of s rash so he clearly pooped not long after he went to bed.
I’m hoping he will settle down and go back to sleep. Dnw a 3:30am beginning to the day.

In up feeding the baby. He got up a little after 3 but I’ve been up since 2. He made some noise then and I haven’t been able to fall back to sleep.

Glad y’all found it and hope he goes back to sleep asap!!

It’s night 1 at home and I’ve already succumbed to bed-sharing. Am I the only one here that does that? I don’t set out to do it, but my exhaustion takes over and it becomes 8,000xs easier to just let him sleep next to me on the boob. I ended up bed-sharing with DS1 until we did sleep training at 6 months. 😬 I really want this one to use the bassinest but yeah lol.

Tbh I tried earlier this week when one of the boys wouldn’t settle unless he was near me but I couldn’t get my anxiety to chill enough for me to actually sleep. 🙈

We got two 3.5 hour stretches! That’s the longest so far! And I went to bed at 8:30 so I feel like a new woman! DH fell asleep in DD1s room ( they cuddle until she falls asleep). He’s 6’5” and was laying in the toddler bed with her when I woke him at midnight. Needless to say he was hurting when he stood up.

I’m still up! 😩 my alarm is going to go off in an hour and I can’t sleep I’ve been up since two and little man fell asleep after his feeding. There is no reason for me to be awake. I’m so tired.

pippiann I’m sorry. I hope the pump helps. sarahh wohoo! That’s some great sleep! It took me until 12:30 to get DD4 asleep in the RnP. She slept for 4 hours after that, but I have a feeling I’ll still be exhausted today. Hoping we can go back to sleep for a chunk after I feed her.

I have been up since 2. The baby just woke up and MH has him downstairs. He is feeding him and changing him so that I can go shower.

We tried the cosleeper but she was not having it. It’s pretty cold in our room too so I’m using that as an excuse 😜 we bed shared with DD1 for 3-4months and we had a very easy transition to the cosleeper after that so I’m not feeling bad about bedshsrig right now.

Last night was the best night so far. I slept from 10-6 with 2 quick feedingds at 1 and 4. I don't sleep as well bedsharing so I try to avoid it but sometimes will do it. Especially early morning.

I had a tough time getting J back to sleep after his 4a feeding. Just as he finally went to sleep and I crawled into bed, the 4-year-old woke up.... and we were up for the day

Just catching up again..don’t worry no need to be jealous I’m not sleeping all the time 😂 I just learned with DS I get more stressed out about looking at the clock or my phone so I’ve avoided it with following newborn stages. ajetter all the hugs. I know I’ve said it before too but I haven’t been able to commit to feeling like he can pick a date to have it done, he wants to though. And I know it’s right time for us..I’m just not ready to say it. benandjerrys is he making sure the frilly parts around the legs are sticking out? If they are tucked into the diaper it can make leaks. helloerrbody I bedshared with all my kids. We’re going to try to put N in the RNP more..but usually I just fall asleep instead and don’t want to move us. I’ve always found it the easiest way to get some sleep, just the way it works for us 🤷🏼♀️ rebeccabunch N’s fell off at 6 days old (her due date!). DD1 was also about a week, and I can’t remember DS but he was in the NICU for 13 days and it fell off while he was still in there.

I’m on my third attempt at putting the baby down in the bassinet. The first two attempts ended with me picking him up because he was in tears. It looks like this one is going that way too. Please please please settled down little boy. I want to sleep.
