I'm mentally preparing myself for a week trip next week. Baby is going with me so this might be fun. We leave for the airport at 4:30 A-fuckin-M. Gah. I need happyy peaceful vibes sent my way.
I also need to get the big kids packed and ready for my parents as well as make sure Dh has he work/life all set while we are gone.

Sending you good vibes lildiamondeyes - I hope your trip goes smoothly! I have my first overnight work trip scheduled for February. I am a little anxious about it - I've had 2 one day trips since DD was born (both times leaving at 5am and getting back around 11pm) but haven't been away from her longer than that. But I think it will be good. Sleep training night 3 was a success. I heard DD putting herself back to sleep around 1:30, and then at 4 I could hear her again. She might've gone back to sleep on her own but I was awake and my boobs were getting kind of hard, so I went in and fed her quickly. But that was it!

Good luck with your trips lildiamondeyes moutonrouge! moutonrouge good to hear sleep training is going well. We are working on it and he’s been sort of all over the place with MOTN wake ups but doing really well going to sleep at bedtime. I think he is making progress in general so I am hopeful. H has been sick and confined to bed for almost 10 days now so it’s been tough not having any help with the baby, keeping up with the house and work. He just started treatment yesterday so at least we are on track to recovery.

Since he'll only be 1 and DS1's birthday is 6 weeks later, I'm doing a joint birthday party closer to DS1's party. Jurassic Park themed since it's his favorite movie. My mom says that's not fair to DS2 but he'll only be 1 and won't remember and I'm not throwing (esssentially) the same party within 6 weeks of each other. *shruggy guy*

Their birthdays are three weeks apart. Honestly, it was a lot easier for me as a guest to only attend one party :-) We're doing a rainbows and unicorns theme. :-) but I also love the star wars and Jurassic park themes mentioned. :-)

Not until September, but MIL has already asked about a party (they travel around that time every year). So it has me thinking. I kind of love the idea of a Where the Wild Things Are theme. It’s also my birthday, so I’m excited about having a party on that day for the first time since high school.

We will probably invite friends to a brewery near us and bring cupcakes. Few of our friends have kids and first birthdays are more for the parents anyway (IME). We might have some family in town at that time, too. They don't drink so we'd do a separate family thing at home.

G is teething, again. I feel like I'm nursing an angry bear most of the time. I hope this gets better once the tooth is in!

B started crawling today and I can feel a tooth bud starting to push its way up!
Also, RIP my sanity with two mobile kids.
