Hiiiii!
Colin had an accident again last night but didn't even seem to be aware of it. We actually argued about his underwear being wet while he was using the potty, because he insisted he was dry. The peeing doesn't seem to be waking him up anymore, I'm not sure what we can do. He's literally been dry 2 times in just over a week, I'm so sick of doing so damn much laundry! He doesn't seem ready to give up though, which I guess is a relief.
Chase, on the other hand - KNOCK ON ALL THE WOOD - hasn't had a nighttime scream fest in at least a week now. He woke up again around 4:30/4:45 and he kept setting the monitor off by climbing around, kicking at the back of the crib, and eventually chanting "mama". But no screaming. I feel like a new woman after so many consecutive nights of decent sleep.
Also helping, I think, is that things feel so much better with DH lately. We've both been doing our parts to talk more, plan time alone, and to just PAY ATTENTION to each other. I'd been feeling this nagging anxiety for so long that I only just realized this morning that it's gone. I mean, we have a long way to go because it feels so intentional right now, but it also feels like it's working so I'm all for it.

I'm spiraling on paint colors again. I talked to my builder so that sparked it. We're waiting on closing then he's going to get all the permits in order so we can break ground as soon as the weather breaks. Hoping for a really warm February.. Working from home - at my parents house was not the plan. I thought we'd be in by now and sharing a desk with my dad sounds like fresh hell. A girlfriend of mine SAH, and her husband works from home. He can't get much done with the three littles in the house, so he goes to one of the study room at the library. During the day there's no one in there so he's able to make calls and do what he needs to do in the quiet and he's not more than a few minutes away (just the luck as to where the library is in relation to his house) ETA: just read about the dining room person. I'm glad you have a separate space, if you need it.

I just got a message that my kid's school is out of power again. This is the second time it's happened in a month. They are continuing on with learning the message enthusiastically said. I bet the teachers are just having a ball. This happened to us twice in one year. First, they sent us home. The second time, the head custodian came around with flashlights. So not fun.

Guys the radiologist screwed up. My shoulder isn't broken!!! It's a really bad muscle strain that is being exasperated by wearing a god damn sling! I'm a mix of angry and thrilled right now! Oh, no! I'd be so annoyed. What kind of medication can they give you for a muscle strain if nsaids are off the table? Would something like tramadol (Ultracet) do the trick?

All- how do i nicely tell A's teachers to help her nap better? She's always taken 30-45 min naps there, 2-3 times , which isn't enough. She comes home exhausted and barely makes it to 6:30. On the weekends she takes 2 naps approx 2 hrs each . i know a lot of it has to do with the light and noise at D.C., but i don't know if they are trying to get her on a schedule. I know its tough with a lot of babies in the room and i love her teacher so i don't want to be naggy or demanding. But today she took a 20 min nap at 9 and just went down again 4 hours later. ( dc has an app that updates me). I geel like she's been up wayyy to long! I think it's ok to talk to them about it, but I also think it's easy to have unrealistic expectations. There is a lot about daycare that makes it tough to nap that the teachers can't control. For example, my daughter, who they called "the siren" in the infant room because any time they'd lay her down, she'd scream and wake up alllll the babies. Both of my kids did not nap well in the infant room. At all. I think that's pretty typical and unfortunately it's just kinda part of daycare.

Wanted to let you know that Charlie went through a scream fest to wake up for a couple of weeks, as well. It was bad enough that he was still waking up at the crack of dawn, but you also be woken up and was just fresh hell. I'm glad it's over for you.

He's never been a great sleeper, at least not since the EIs started in earnest around 5/6 months old. I'm not sure he'll ever be as good a sleeper as Colin is, but I need him to get to the point where we can all share a hotel room or the boys can share a room in a vacation rental without him turning anyone else into a grumpy zombie.

He said I can continue the muscle relaxer if it helps and then just Tylenol. I have Vicodin if it is truly unbearable and can take that. I will say I don't know if it's power of suggestion or because I'm out of the sling, but it already feels better.

I have an awful headache -- it feels like there's pressure building and it wants to push out of my skull. Mostly at the top of my neck. Motrin's not touching it right now.

vino how far are you from Vancouver again? Pricing flights for July vacation and could get out there for relatively cheap. Do people do Whistler in the summer? Trying to for as far as possible before we have to pay for flights for N #cheap I'm about a 13 hour drive, so not close. lol. And yes Whistler is definitely an option in the summer, it is gorgeous drive up the coast. Keep me posted on dates, my BFF is there and I havent been there in ages and fear that they are going to be posted again before I have the chance to go back. Lol not close. Canada geography is not my strong suit... Who knows where we will go, I've looked at flights to Lisbon, Seattle, Maine, San Diego, and Vancouver. We probably SHOULD just go stay for free at my aunt's beach house in NJ though.

And will they be matching your current pay? I'll be running and helping expand my dad's trucking company. I'll be working from home and paid salary at my current rate. As we hire more drivers and my work load gets heavier I'll make more. I'll have tons of flexibility and get to spend more time with the boys.

Totally makes sense...sometimes I think just knowing what is going on is half the battle. Once you have a diagnosis and treatment, it's like, "ok, I can manage this". I found that with issues with my first pregnancy, anyway. Glad you are on the mend and it's not as serious as previously thought!

LO got hurt at preschool today. He pulled his hood over his eyes and ran into a pole. He has a bump and a bruise on his eyebrow but he is fine. It happened this morning but didn't contact me until I was 5 minutes away from pickup. Oh well
