How's everyone doing?

I'm just chugging along. I've spent entirely too much money eating out/buying food at work the past few weeks and I need to work on that. I'm thankful I can eat, however. Still living that unisom/B6 life. In a couple weeks I may skip it the night before a day off and see how I feel the next day.

I hit 13 weeks Wed and my nausea is fiiiinally fading. I'm almost normal during the day and only at night feel like I want to throw up, so yay. My sleep has been so f'ed up recently though. Only sleeping 5 ish hours, broken up, no matter what time I go to bed. I'm so tired. My body just doesn't want to rest and I'm angry at it because sleep is about to be so rare so whyyyyyy can't I sleep right now when I have a toddler who STTN, no huge belly or temperamental bladder yet or a newborn???

we're supposed to get snow again tonight, just in time for my commute home! hooray for that! god i frickin hate winter.
i'm fretting about when to tell my boss about being pg. torn between dreading doing it and just wanting to get it over with. plus i'm worried i'm already showing even in the flowy tops that i've been wearing. ugh.
is it too early to start a thread about maternity clothes?

I feel like time is moving at a snails pace and that my appointment this Thursday will never come. I'm totally in my head about my mild symptoms.
My H has a work trip this week so I'm solo parenting after tonight until late Friday evening. Here's hoping this week goes easy on me.

Try half a unisom? I know since I've been taking it at night for nausea I've slept better.

I'm going to tell work at my annual performance review, which will likely be next week... waiting for them to tell me what my raise is first, then I'll tell. I'm still in regular clothes though, just maybe looking like I went crazy on the Christmas cookies.

Nope. My sister just mailed me all mine back and I'm wearing them already. Except she uses scented detergent and I think it's making my headaches worse so I'm going to have to try washing with some vinegar or something

I actually didn't swallow my first pill til I was like, 22 or something, because I was so afraid I'd choke and die. I'm weird, I know. Gummy vitamins were the BEST INVENTION EVER.

I actually couldn't swallow pills until I was 16. I was choking on an orange when I was 6 and it made me terrified of choking from then on. It was horrible. I'm still afraid of choking and struggle but I am able to swallow pills.

And go figure that the first pill I swallowed was acne medication. 😂 it was swallow the pill or deal with the horrible breakouts.

Yeeeees, I said the same thing regarding sleep to MH. I should be so tired I am dead to the world until morning! Sleep isn't supposed to be this shitty until 3rd tri. It's so frustrating.

Heartburn has started early too. And the multiple bathroom trips a night. And back pain.
I don't remember all this until late 2nd, early 3rd tri with the other two.

I got terrible sleep throughout my first pregnancy for various reasons. Don’t tell your friends and family, they will just tell you your body is preparing you for sleep deprivation when the baby comes. 🙄

So random... does anyone know how to put a trigger warning on your signature? I seem to remember tcf having a code view so I could see details that way, but can’t seem to find it here. I have lurked on a couple of the general boards, but hesitant to post outside of a group where everyone is pregnant. mrsweasley - I just joined your bachelor fantasy group, hope you don’t mind a late joiner!

We got back last night after going to my grandfather’s funeral. I honestly have to watch the app to keep up with how many weeks I am. Not getting to see the doctor until next Monday so that makes all of this feel like I’m imagining everything. The constant need for my zofran helps me remember though.

I still choke on pills from time to time, like if I don't swallow it fast enough or if it's not far back enough on my tongue. I used to have to crush them up for years. God I hate these prenatals!

It was a high of 30 today, much better then the 2 degrees yesterday. I took DS to the toddler play gym today. He had so much fun there, I just wish it was a little closer to us.

I haven’t made dinner for my family in weeks. I feel guilty, but the kids don’t seem to mind eating takeout and crackers and cheese. Haha.
Any first tri friendly dinner suggestions?

Y'all should see my mom take all her pills. Idk how many she takes but it's around 10 and she does them all at once. Cant tell you how many times I've yelled at her not to do that when she's alone.

I'm still not doing great with making dinner. I'm up to a couple times a week. I was really into spaghetti for awhile. Now it's noodles with a little butter and tons of parmesan cheese (we've eaten this 3 days in a row 🙈 ). Mostly, I would advise against anything with strong, lingering smells/tastes. The crock pot was not my friend early on because I'd smell the food all day and itd make me want to vomit. I had to quit using garlic because the lingering taste made me sick. So, mild non smelly stuff is my suggestion. Lol

I often gag on a regular sized gel cap.

My kids have eaten a lot of chicken nuggets and hot dogs because I can't stand food smells and DS is old enough to use the microwave
I'm going to try making a pork loin tonight so FX it doesn't make me gag!

My H has really gotten into cooking this past year so I've been really lucky that he does 90% of the cooking now. We totally flipped flopped our roles which is completely fine with me. However, I've been so spoiled that when he leaves on work trips, I feel lost when it comes to meal planning. This week, I've planned the easiest meals possible which includes spaghetti, tacos and chili. Oh, DS has a dentist appointment this afternoon so I told him we could get a Happy Meal afterwards if he can sit nicely. I call that a win.

Food wise, we've been eating a lot of basic things, mostly because H is cooking. I do OK eating, but I can't think about it too much before hand. Last night we had ravioli with butter and cheese. We also had orange chicken with rice and broccoli, and I made hamburger stroganoff earlier this week (H browned the meat, I did the rest). Thankfully, we are still in the habit of feeding our kid separate kid food, so she has had quesadillas a lot. She's also liking a lot of these noodle based dishes we're making (not our usual)
