Well, what a difference. I have been having contractions off and on for a week but woke up at 11pm last night with painful regular contractions. I was determined not to get sent home this time so I stayed there till I couldn't stand it and we left for the hospital around 1 am. Got there and bag was bulging and she couldn't feel any cervix but didn't want to break the water by accident so didn't push too hard. The brought me right up to a room and got me in the tub. It wasn't long before I was pushing but an anterior lip of cervix kept preventing progress. Finally I sat on the toilet and the head came out. Then all hell broke loose on the bathroom floor since he has a shoulder dystocia. She was able to get the right arm out and pull him out from there. He is more than 1.5lbs bigger than DS1. I also had quite a bit of bleeding after they got him delivered. We are both doing well. He might have a clavicle fracture (X-ray is pending) He was born at 4:09 am 1/7/18 8lbs 10 oz 20 3/4"

Wow!! What a crazy birth story! Why wouldn't they want to break your water? That is standard practice at my hospital. I hope you and baby heal up soon! Congratulations momma, you deserve some rest!

She didn't want to break it in triage because she was afraid he would come fast and wanted to get me upstairs to a room first. It broke on its own shortly after arriving to my room.

Wow! What a crazy story! When G was born she had shoulder dystocia. She ended up with a broken arm. I hope your DS is ok and the X-ray sees nothing. Rest up!

yellow711 not much. Just be careful of that arm for a few weeks anget a follow up X-ray. Birth clavicle fx always heal fast so I'm not too worried.

So he does have a clavicle fracture which I suspected. It is ok though. It will heal.
