My Netflix queue could use some beefing up before baby comes and I am stuck on the couch feeding a baby 8 hours a day and I have made a resolution to read more so recommend books, too!
*** I say Netflix but I have basically every streaming service and most premium channels I think so throw any suggestions my way!

If you’re looking to read more, have you looked into audiobooks? Right now I’m loving them when I can’t sleep in the middle of the night and don’t want to turn the light on and wake my husband. Most libraries have the overdrive ap (or something similar), so the books can be downloaded straight to your phone.
Are there certain types of books that you normally lean towards?
For Netflix shows, I’ve heard The Crown is great. I’m saving it for maternity leave. I also love Schitt’s Creek. Not sure if it is only on the Canadian Netflix

Not sure if it is only on the Canadian Netflix I read so infrequently I am embarrassed but audiobooks are a great idea! I like mystery and prefer not to think too much when I read :-P I started the Crown earlier this week and I will check out Schitts Creek!

My post partum list last time consisted of Sons of Anarchy and Scrubs. I think Scrubs is no longer on Netflix but SoA is still there. That show is my absolute favorite but is usually not my type of show. I don’t really like violence or blood. It’s just sooooo good. Anyway I just finished reading Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher. I love her. It was short and her writing is a little scattered but a great quick read. I am also re-reading the Harry Potter series.

I tend to read more thrillers than mysteries but some of the ones I liked in 2017 were: All the Missing Girls - Megan Miranda Love You More - Lisa Gardiner Big Little Lies - Liane Morairty This is more chick lit than mystery but it was fantastic. I love all of her books.
I like to read (or listen to) pretty light stuff. I want to make it easy on myself lol. I have never been into the classics or books with a lot of imagery/themes, etc.

And there is the bonus of the ever so sexy Idris Elba being the main character.

One that I binged last may leave is Jane the Virgin. The premise sounds dumb but the show is a bit of a parody of telenovelas and a lot of fun.

I’ve watched everything. You’ve got some good suggestions already!
Netflix: Crazy Ex Girlfriend (intelligent, feminist musical comedy??) The Killing seasons 1&2 Godless Mad Men The Crown Narcos Season 3 (its basically stand alone you don’t need to watch the others. Season 1 is pretty good, season 2 is ok but 3 is fantastic) Sons of Anarchy Peaky Blinders (need to put subtitles on, thick accents)
Hulu: Casual (I love this show) Younger Better Things Fargo (I think you can find it on Hulu) Power (it can be too much sometimes but entertaining)
HBO The Wire Big Little Lies
Showtime Homeland (starts good, then isn’t good, heard it improves later seasons) The Affair (first 2 seasons are good, third not so much, can be hard to watch)
Prime The Americans Downton Teachers

One night after watching, I asked DH if he had trouble sleeping after watching and he said no. I said me neither. Then I asked if that made us weird! But for me, the supernatural aspects are just interesting/entertaining. I get much more easily freaked out by things that COULD happen in real life! (violence, etc)

DH and I recently finished Bloodline and House of Cards on Netflix.
The Wire (from Amazon Prime, I think) was one of our favorites.
We just started Rectify on Netflix - jury is still out on that one

I’ve wanted to watch Rectify and didn’t know it’s now on Netflix. Let me know if it’s good.

I don't.. watch TV.. so I'm following.
I'd like to catch up on movies I haven't gotten to see yet. so the new Thor, etc. I liked Blacklist a lot and fell off the wagon.
As far as books I basically read the same things over and over again. But on my list for next year is "The Book of Dust" by Philip Pullman. I also really love the 'All Souls Trilogy' and of course, Harry Potter.

We binged Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. I really enjoy them both. I also liked Big Little Lies. I’ve never watched Scandal so I think I might do that. But I’m not a big TV watcher and it isn’t often that I don’t have tiny humans running around.
